So this restaraunt used to be on piney branch, back in the day when I used to go. It is now off new Hampshire. It was my go to place so many years ago. When I looked up dominican restaraunts it came up and I was very surprised and happy to see it. Now the reviews on yelp are not great and I questioned if I should go. I am glad I did. In my opinion, I don't know what happened before, but the day I went my foodie spirit was happy I came. I had the chicharron de Pollo with yuca frita and Maduro. My friend had the bistec, we shared the pastellitos, fried cheese and Carne frita. Everything was amazing and how I remembered. The carne frita was a last minute add on and flavorful. The bistec had fantastic seasoning. Now the atmosphere is that of a club. So inside it is pretty dark, but you can see your plates. I can't wait to go back! read more

My order per their menu on DoorDash was Mofongo con carne frita, empanadas de pollo, and a side of maduros. Soo much of this meal was wrong! The meal arrived two hours later and missing the entire entree of Mofongo. The beef was skirt steak from the Lomo Saltado recycled to "complete" this order and arrived dry and over cooked/seasoned. EMPANADAS on the menu is plural for more than one but only one was delivered. The only "right" thing that arrived was the maduros...with an aftertaste of fish. That means that they fried these plantains with recycled oil they fry fish with. I am Latino and know how this menu should taste and ALL OF IT is not Dominican food. read more

Came to Mana restaurant to with the desire to have amazing Dominican delicious food and an amazing customer service. NEGATIVE!! As we walked into the restaurant, it was extremely loud, staff talking to each other and taking a while to take our order. Once we ordered, the server took our drink order wrong. Our picadera came out of the kitchen cold and not tasty at all. The worst thing here at Mana is the customer service. In my opinion, if you want some real Dominican food, do not come here and if you expect to be treated good, like you are paying for everything you ordered, do not come here. The worst service ever. The staff did not even apologize. My family and I will most definitely never come back. read more

on September 18 I came to the club for a friends birthday and when I try to get into the club the officer wouldn't let me and my friends in but he was only letting the Hispanic people and then he pulled me by my hair for letting him know how i felt about the situation. If I could give it a negative 5 I would, I came in here and ordered a picadera which I paid Francisco for it, about 30 minutes later his wife comes with the food and gives it to me. But then snatches it out my hands claiming I haven't paid and walked away saying something under her breath. 5 minutes later she decides to ask her husband whether I paid for the food or not and when he says yes, she just comes up to my friend and I and gives us the food as if she didn't just snatched the bag out of my hands. Did not even apologize, I'm a regular customer at this location but I will most definitely never come back. read more

Food was good. I like my chicken crispy and their's is very crispy. Bean portion could be bigger and I wish they would have asked if I wanted yellow rice because I assumed the rice was yellow but it was white. Next time I'll try the mofongo. read more

I wanted some Dominican food so I decided to do a Google search in the silver spring area. Finally coming across this spot I took my chances and the food was awesome. I had the carne gisado (beef stew) mmm mmm mmm....u have to try it. If you are in the Tacoma/Langley park area please try this place. If not it's definitely worth the drive I took. This was me first time experience visiting here. Exceptional beyond my expectations. I came here from off recommendations thank to my good friend who is dominicano. This place is in the cut right in the same shopping center where el pollo campero at the other end up the hill. I walked in and all eyes were on me lol. I felt kind of uncomfortable at first. But once I heard the music and sat down at the bar. I felt comfortable. The bartender Cheeko greeted me and gave me a menu. I'm alittle rusty on my Spanish. Some of the stuff on the menu is in spanish and english. You able to make it what type of food it is. I looked over the menu and asked a customer who was sitting next to me a recommendation on food, coming to find out that I knew her from awhile back lol. She recommended the DE CHICHARRON DE POLLO. Then when it was like to order a drink she said try the MORIR SONANDO. But I was in a mood for beer. The waitress that was nearby said that I should get the El Presidente (Domincan beer) instead of the Modelo. So I went with her option. I was told this place liven up later at night with the music and dancing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Finally, the food came out and I was plated well. I believe that presentation is everything. The food was absolutely amazing .... Seasoned and cooked just right. I really enjoy spots like this, where people take pride in cooking there food. I can't wait to visit here again.
