Service is always prompt and friendly. Acoustics aren't great in such a small room, I guess it can't be helped. My husband likes the lasagna and I return to the salmon every time (with the aforementioned rice and broccoli. You gotta taste it to understand how good both are.). The French onion soup is some of the best I've ever had. We brought our vegetarian daughter and were a little disappointed that there weren't more options for her. But what she did get she loved. Will definitely return.

Large enough portion that I took half home. One friend had the fried chicken and raved about it. (Order early because it takes time.) Another had fried cheese ravioli Several had the Mac and cheese and everybody raved about their dishes. Took home some seafood-stuffed cornbread for my husband. The atmosphere adds to the experience. It's right in the heart of Historic Downtown Covington at the trailhead with huge windows and natural light. Really lovely! Mantra is, hands down, the best Indian food on the Northshore…read more As of the day I am writing this, I probably eat here more than any other restaurant on the Northshore. That should tell you something. They do have a lunch buffet, but I have only been for dinner. The location is a little fancy because it used to be Desi Vega's, but honestly, it works. Walk inside and the first thing that hits you is the smell. Lawd. It smells incredible. My go-to is the Karahi Chicken, and I honestly cannot accurately describe how good it is. Rich, flavorful, loaded with spice, and just ridiculous. I get it as hot as possible, which is still relatively mild on my completely broken heat tolerance scale, so take that recommendation with a grain of salt. The kids absolutely love the butter chicken. I finally tried a bite and immediately understood why. It is rich, creamy, flavorful, and probably the perfect introduction if you are new to Indian food or a little nervous about trying it. And then there is the naan. Get the garlic naan. Seriously. Garlic naan may be one of mankind's greatest achievements. If you have never tried Indian food, come here. If you think you do not like Indian food, come here. If you already love Indian food, you should have been here already. I have eaten here a lot, and I have never had a bad meal. Everything is full of flavor, the food is consistently great, and I leave every single time wondering how soon is too soon to come back. Just come here. It is wonderful.

The wood shavings incorporated throughout the tables, chairs, and overall design of the restaurant was very cute and different. I really loved the look and feel of the space. I ordered the Praline Sticky Ribs and Snapper Rangoon. I really only enjoyed the ribs.
