WOW! EcoLawn rocks! Kikuyu grass had overtaken our lawn. Somewhat reluctantly, we decided to replace it with dark blend sage synthetic lawn. We are beyond happy with the quick makeover of a small area in our backyard. I am not one to write reviews usually, however our landscape project was such a positive experience with an amazing work of art upon completion that I thought others might benefit from hearing about EcoLawn and Patrick Hagan. When I first called the office, a lovely young lady answered asking about my project that she might match me with the right contractor. Soon after, I received a call from Patrick. He was professional but warm, interested even though it is a rather small project compared to some of their usual work, and he made an appointment to meet at the site. He took measurements and gave his professional ideas as well as shared pictures of his work and what might work well in this outdoor condo patio. (He even shared less expensive options for this smaller space that could have been done without the need of a contractor or even as a diy project...me trying a landscaping diy...there goes the neighborhood!) Admittedly, I had several needs and requirements that would be difficult to meet. Patrick never wavered but continued with ideas to make it work. I wanted a flagstone patio with a rather unique design that would make a statement in my smaller outdoor living space and yet still fit patio furniture, a grill, an outdoor heater, and extra seating that looked 100% natural (as it is one of the only all-natural materials you can use for a patio). When I had difficulty deciding on the exact look or olor, he took me to the stone yard so that I could see all of the options in the sunlight to see how it would really look once installed. He produced a one of a kind color combinations and shaped buckskin patio that fits the space perfectly. He added special touches like bronze drainage fixtures and a stand-out grouting that magnifies the beauty of the natural stone. He also added a protective sealant coating to ensure that a product that will likely last a lifetime will look beautiful every day to come. The contract was easy via DocuSign. Patrick followed up with the progress with me often many times sending pictures. I may be a bit partial, but I believe anyone who walks the neighborhood of condos will say "wow" that one looks like someone really put their talent and heart into making a beautiful and functional outdoor space. I don't know that I've ever been more impressed start to finish with a project and team than I was with our lawn project and the EcoLawn team. Starting with Nick Hart, who is knowledgeable, patient, reachable, and flexible. He helped us design our project turning our vague plans and ideas into a functional project, all while working within our budget. Then once we had a project planned out, the crew finished the job in 3 days (and were the some of the nicest people I've met!)...which was what was promised. Additionally, the price was the price...no surprises. We are currently dealing with a contractor who has turned a 3 week project into a 6 month one...with a 14k budget that is now 18.5k. So honesty with time and price...and responsiveness and accessibility with communication, were so appreciated, particularly when in stark contrast with other contractor experiences we have had. Jump several months from the install, our family LOVES our lawn. We use it every day. It's not too hot in the sun. It's soft on bare feet. It looks incredible. It's easy to care for. We put an "ultimate pad" underneath it for the safety of our young kids, at the recommendation of Nick, and it is soft and safe when the kids take a stumble. On top of all of that, they are still checking on us. Nick emails from time to time to make sure we are happy with the product and that there are no new concerns or problems. This is unexpected and comforting, knowing that if a problem arises, it won't be ignored...in fact, they are proactive about making sure you are happy with their product. We recently asked the professionals at EcoLawn to return to our house to refresh our turf grass, since we now have a puppy and it's getting more "use", shall we say :). We also had them add a bit more turf under the swing area instead of the bark chips that had been there which added a much softer landing area for the kiddos. In addition, we asked them if they could build us an outdoor shower and showed them photos of what we had in mind. They knocked it out of the park and the shower looks great. The pavers nicely match the ones we already have in our driveway and they did a superb and quick job of installing them. We have had natural grass for years and were a bit skeptical about the synthetic alternative. Not only do the mathematics work out, 20-25 years estimated life of the new "lawn", no water or additional care required, but the look and feel are exceptional.
