I'm always pleased with the final product (cut & color). My stylist, and the staff, are always friendly, patient, and professional. Sometimes when I go I have 1 or both children in tow, and get so envoys bringing them. But the staff are all very understanding and find ways to preoccupy them so that I can get my hair done in peace, and really haven't minded the energy my children have. It's nice that they offer beverages and snacks while you are getting your hair done, as we know it can take a couple of hours to get our hair done depending on the type of services. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is that some of the parking lot now has a no parking zone leaving limited space. But, I know that is out of the salon's control.

First to note, I was 7 minutes late, and I thought they would give me a hard time since I was a groupon customer. But I was greeted very nicely, and I did not have to wait more than 2 minutes to get seated for the appointment. Samantha was my hairdresser for the day, even though her name wasn't mentioned in Groupon Fine Print. She was very professional and worked on my hair with a lot of patience. She understood what I wanted done, based on the pictures I showed her, and just worked her magic! It took about 3 hours for my whole appointment, which was nice. Nothing was rushed. All the employees within the store are friendly and kept offering me drinks. At the end, my hair came out really nice, and it feels great also!!! Samantha also gave me some tips on how to take care of my hair. I will definitely be returning to this salon for my next haircut.

I only say one client in the shop she appears to be getting highlights. The receptionist appeared surprised that I was walking in the establishment. I'm not a "white woman" and we will leave it at that. I asked if I could get a pedicure and she looked at the calendar and so did I and she says to me we don't have any appointments available. REALLY! because the calendar that she was looking at and I was also had nothing written on it. Just a suggestion Aura Bella you might want to change By Appointment Only to a YES. I went two doors down to Pampered Nails and received a nice pedicure, and a back massage while my toes were drying. Ladies - run to Pampered Nails and leave Aura Bella alone!

I've seen Carolyn, Julia, and Kay and each has brought their true A game. Carolyn is the business owner and you can tell she creates an environment where her stylists are respected and respectful of each other! Its aesthetic is truly precious and perfect for downtown Frankfort. Carolyn was so excited to have me see Julia, a newer stylist and holy cow she did not lead me wrong! I have hand tied extensions installed by Julia and honestly I feel like a goddess. The waves and styling after the installation were perfection. Kay has also done an installation for me and I never felt more confident as when I walked out of the salon. I asked for kacey musgraves and while they couldn't replace my vocal cords, they could give me her hair so I could pretend As a city expat, I was worried when I moved to the burbs that I'd miss out on the "latest and greatest" in hairstyle fashion, but Carolyn and her team could be easily transplanted to a high end salon in the most cosmopolitan of cities. If you want Kate gosselin, I mean I'm sure they'd do it for you if you asked lol but trust you will not unintentionally walk out renamed Karen. Lastly I've been going pre and post covid, I've felt that the precautions they've been taking to make me feel safe are more than adequate and I am very conservative in terms of the places I'm willing to go. I moved to Houston and couldn't get the same service or the same hair color anymore, always missing her. Now that I've moved back to Chicago, I didn't hesitate to reach out to her at her new salon. However, this time the work wasn't as good as I expected, and the charges weren't proportional to what was actually done. They did a partial highlight and toner, but no root touch-up, haircut, or blow-dry. I'm very disappointed with the work done.

That should have sent up some serious red flags. But I trusted that Nicole's staff would be professional and knowledgeable. I expected her employees would have some experience too. I was quickly booked with Jordyn. She's a young girl with little to no experience. She's been a nail tech at Rumors Salon and Day Spa for a couple years. She was not confident and her lack of experience is shown in the pictures. She was not sanitary either. She did my friend's nails first. We assumed that all of her equipment was sanitary. When it was my turn, I was shocked when she proceeded to do my nails without any sort of sanitization. She proceeded to use the same file and drill bits on me that were used on my friend's nails. She did not clean the nail files or drill after finishing my friend's nails. I had to request that she clean them. I was disgusted!! I found out later from my hair stylist that Jordyn has had a few clients get nail fungus. As a beauty professional, sanitation is extremely important!!! I go in for a 1:30 appointment when the salon closes at 2pm (I was not aware nor did they say that isn't enough time) I would have come back if you had relayed your closing time for a good experience. Anyway, I go back in, and the lady sits me right in her shampoo chair. She didn't ask me anything about what i wanted. She only knew i wanted a cut. She does the shampoo, and it is so vigorous that she was actually giving me whiplash and was hitting my neck on the back because she was rushing. I get my hair done often and that's not it's supposed to be. Then she combs my hair out and FINALLY asks what i want. Keep in mind, this is the first she spoke to me besides hi upfront. I tell her I'm here for a lot of hair off and my hair is curly. She says "well you should have said that before so I could have done stuff differently." Ummmm YOU DIDNT ASK ME! There was a lady processing in the chair next me and just looks at us because she witnessed my shampoo and conditioner. Then, I show her a picture of what i want, point to where i want my longest layer in the front and tell her i want a soft U. That didn't make sense to her. She said "well that's confusing." So i said "fine cut it straight" very incompetent. She realized I was irritated and started making small talk because she was near the end of styling and knew it was time for her tip. The entire experience was awful! I wanted a simple hair cut with soft layers and a soft U. The stylist was unprofessional, rude and mean. I have the stylist card, and I certainly never plan on coming back. She cut off 6inches of hair, styled, didn't give me a U, didn't give me a good experience, and i was out of there in 35 min. The blow dry added another $50. I didn't get an itemized bill so I called in after to try and understand why the bill was a lot higher than expected. They said since the service was completed that I couldn't get a refund and insisted that I got a discount for the partial anyways because online it even says $150 starting. On the phone before the appt, they said $115 and after this call, I checked online and its $125. So I don't know. I really wouldn't have minded as much just knowing the amount upfront. But almost an hour wait time and extra hidden fees just makes the experience not as positive for me.

She styled everyone exactly to their specification and if they didn't love it the first time--she'd adjust. Not only that, but she got all of our hair to STAY for the entire night and showed my bridesmaids how to pin my hair up once I got too hot with it down. She even was the one to put my veil on to make sure it stayed and didn't mess up the rest of my 'do. If I could give her ten stars, I would. THANK YOU KELLY!
