On my first visit, the manager sold me products I didn't actually need -- I was nervous and didn't know better, so I went along with it. When I tried to return them and get the product I actually needed, the manager was never in. By the time I finally caught her, it was too late to return anything. I also was never told I could be using a Level 5 bed when I signed up -- I'd been put in a Level 4 the whole time, even though there's almost a $40 price difference between the two. Once I found out, I asked to downgrade my membership for the following month. But now this month, I can't use the Level 5 bed at all. So I paid $104 for July and can't even use what I'm paying for. On top of that, almost everyone on staff has been unhelpful and unpleasant. The one exception is Grace, who's been genuinely kind and helpful every time. My advice: do your research before signing up here, or just go somewhere else.

I came to Ultra Tan in a mad search of finding a reasonable priced place to tan the pasty white skin that has been haunting me more than a ghost clad in a white sheet. Perched in a little lot, it's easily accessible and perfect for making a lunch time pitstop or an out of town jaunt. The first thing to take note of is the cleanliness. As with other tanning salons, it's not uncommon to see dust and have stale air wafting around, but not here. Another thing to take note, the staff. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and get you in and out quickly. Price-wise, I am still shocked by what the monthly dues are. By sticking with the Level 1 conventional beds, a monthly unlimited package is $30. Cheap. Super cheap that will get your body amped and ready to put down for a full on package to really spruce up the sun...er...bulbs. Packages for other levels are equally as cheap and oh so worth it. Take a minute and go through which Level works best for you, guaranteed you will find a package that beats the conventional. I mean, it's about keeping your body bronzed and sexy. If you've forgotten your lotions, there's a plethora of types of all different levels that will amplify the bulbs and get you to that perfect shade. So happy to have made the move over to Ultra Tan which has become my 15 minute ritual to a fantasy Bahamas vacay.

Even after I politely said "no" multiple times, the sales pitch continued. Every reason I gave for not wanting to purchase anything seemed to be met with another reason why I should, instead of simply respecting my decision. What made me especially uncomfortable was that even when my body was already out the door, the sales pitch still didn't stop. At that point, I just wanted to leave, but I felt like my "no" wasn't being respected. I understand that retail businesses encourage product sales, and I don't mind being offered products. However, there is a big difference between making recommendations and making customers feel pressured. A simple "no, thank you" should be enough. Unfortunately, the aggressive sales approach left me with a negative impression and made me not want to return. But...... I wanted to give a shoutout to Kiley for providing such a great customer experience! She really was the saving grace! She was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable without ever making me feel pressured. She took the time to answer my questions, offered recommendations based on what I was looking for, and respected my decisions without pushing additional products. I will only be doing business with her from now on. It's refreshing to interact with someone who genuinely makes you feel comfortable and valued as a customer and not just a dollar sign.
