I've been coming to this LA Tan for decades because it's around the corner from my parent's home. The customer service has always been excellent. The place is always clean. I've never had any issues with this location. The reason for 4 stars is because they only have two stand up beds. One is level 1 and one is level 2. The wait for the stand up can therefore be awhile depending on foot traffic of course. If the location had more stand ups they would be a 5 for me. read more

Very disappointed with this la tan location- I always purchase 5 or 10 tanning session package - and 2 of my tans expired 12 days ago so I offered to buy another set of tanning sessions in order to regain access to my 2 expired tanning sessions and was told by the girl who works there that they will Not be able to honor that. Unless they change their mind and contact me on here - I will take my business someplace and leave the review with one star for now. They should perhaps send us an email to remind us that our taking sessions about to expire or extend for another month or few weeks. read more

I have tanned at many places. I love the tanning and spa service industry. I have a lot of knowledge in this industry. This location is great from the people to the beds/spray machines they offer. When I got in it's always been very clean AMD the girls working there are always aware and nice. I am a true believer in tanning lotion as well because I have been trained thoroughly on the benefits, so if these girls offer you to purchase a lotion, you better, it's for a health and tan plateau puposes. The only thing I wish is that their prices for all sunless and bed tanning was slightly cheaper. $110 is about the cost for a monthly membership for full salon access use. I also with they did more specials on non membership sunless tanning so I'm not paying 20$ if I'm not using my membership and only doing single session. Tanning packages here are for serious folks. Sure, the unlimited tanning for $19.95/month isn't a bad deal if you want to come out looking like Snookie. I recall paying some other miscellaneous charges, so my first month was actually much more. Their cancellation policy kind of sucks. You have to physically go into the location where you signed up, and you have to tell them you want to cancel. Then you fill out a form. It's fairly easy, but I cancelled because I wasn't using my membership. So of course I was lazy about getting my butt back in there to cancel as well. You also have until a certain date to cancel (it varies, see your contract), otherwise you will be billed for the following month. Tanning beds are standard. They could use some music up in there, though, I could hear it in the lobby but it was all WHOOSHwhoooshWHIRRR noises while tanning. Rather unpleasant. Whatever happened to places where you could walk in and get one tan for $5 without strings attached? read more

Searching and searching for the ideal spray tan. I've found it! The Versaspa at LA Tan is best system yet (and I've tried many). The system sprays and dries you intermittently. The drier is warm and the solution isn't bone chilling. The process takes a bit longer, but it is worth it! The finished product is great. Less streaking, natural color. The guy at the counter was helpful and knowledgable about the process. I would highly recommend. read more

Yikes! I've been a monthly client for LA tan for almost 7 years and literally cancelled my membership completely after my experience with this location. I went here for the higher level beds and drove there because my usual Oswego location did not have the beds I wanted and I wanted a darker tan for a vacation I was going on. My first time here I had purchased the stickers for the eyes because I forgot my stickers that I had (from the other location, I had about 20 from them - a girl gave me a bunch that worked there) and the next time I went in she asked for proof of eyeware and I showed her my eye stickers. She told me I have to purchase another pair because it shows I purchased them the previous visit. I explained to her that I brought these and had a bunch of them and that I am not purchasing another pair. She told me I can not tan. As I was debating her and trying to explain that I have a perfectly good pair in my hand other clients would come in and she would take their name and let them go and I would say "Why aren't you asking them for their proof of eyeware?" She just laughed. I asked for a managers name and she laughed and said she isn't going to give me that information and then I explained that she has to give me management to talk to and she said she was the owner of the entire place. The girl was clearly not professional and was definitely not a manager let alone an owner of any business. I already paid $40 a month for my plan and was already paying to upgrade to the higher bed ($8 additional dollars for one session) and I wasn't going to pay any more money for something I already proved I had in my hands. I was refunded the $8 for the tan and she wouldn't allow me to tan, even though I proved I had eyeware. So I cancelled my membership and do not plan on going to this establishment ever again. I've been coming here for almost 10 years and this store has really turned around. New management knows what they are doing! The manager there, Kaitlin, has been wonderful in customer service! She really cares if the customers are happy or not and makes sure if they aren't, that she fixes the problem so they leave happy. Very impressed! She also is very knowledgeable on lotions, tanning processes, and overall how to keep and improve your tan. Almost switched tanning salons a few months ago but stayed because of her! When Kaitlin isn't working I usually get another employee named Elizabeth who is beyond friendly and gives great recommendations on tanning advice! Happy this is my tanning salon! read more

I am SO unhappy with this location. On more than one occasion this location has closed prior to the posted hours. Tonight I went well before closing time & the door was locked while the girl inside was on her cellphone. I then called the store phone and she never picked up! This "salon" (if you can even call it that) is very outdated and gross. Not kept up well and the staff in very inexperienced. Sad to say I need to find a new local tanning salon that I feel comfortable with, because this one is NOT worth your while!!! read more

I used to own a salon in the early 2000's and I have VERY high standards and preferences regarding my skincare. I have shopped ALL of the tanning salons in the area and have found none as knowledgeable, friendly, warm, or professional as this LA Tan. David is absolutely a delight and the entire team make the experience a true delight each visit. I never feel like just a number there...plus, the equipment is fabulous and you get excellent results quickly. Very thankful for this lovely little oasis. read more

This place is filthy and outdated. I have always tanned at la tan and just recently moved to Naperville and the beds are so much older but you still have to pay same price. It's so dirty and the service sucks. Yuck stay away. Have to find a new place to tan now. read more

If you're interested in Versaspa and want to know which shade to use, "light" is not it. I'm very pale and light in spray tanning works really well for me typically. Here it made no difference in my color whatsoever..none. The kicker is that I bought the "light" package on special (now I know why it's on special), completely wasted the first spray tan, and now will have to pay extra to upgrade to medium for the remainder of my package. read more
