Luckily I can fake what my mama didn't give me with the help of a tanning bed. I've been going to L.A. Tan for years at different locations. This one is one of my favorites. The employees have always been super sweet. They always are offering some deal on "tanning dollars" or discounts on lotions. They always help me choose a lotion that'll work for me since I refuse to use bronzers. P.S.A. Although the lotion can be pricey, they are great quality and they don't contain mineral oil. Mineral oil is found in a lot of outdoor tanning lotions and oils. It actually eats away at the acrylic inside the tanning beds. That leads to cracked beds, costly repairs($700-$800 per panel), and longer wait times because those damaged beds are out of commission. Not to mention the injuries the employees have suffered. One girl was showing me the scratches on her hands from when she was cleaning a bed and her hand went thru the acrylic. And how about the time she slipped and fell on tanning oil. Had people been following the rules, these injuries could've been prevented. I also love the other services this location offers. The Hydration Treatment is so relaxing. You basically lay in a warm steam bubble with scented oils and watch a movie or listen to music while you get all nice and hydrated. It's supposed to be done before you tan, but I would recommend it for anyone. They also offer custom spray tans and red light treatments. They are busiest on Tuesday because they offer $5 tans that day. But besides that, the wait is never too long. The rooms are clean and the beds are newer. So now you know the secret to my year round glow...

My friends all came here as well so the whole bridal party would not be pasty white in photos. Everyone that works here is super nice and does a wonderful job. I found this tanning salon from a Groupon and they were not snobby or rude at all about using a discount (some places are). They also have a nice referral program. I like that they offer a lot of tan shades. If you are on the pale side I would highly suggest the medium-light shade. My tans always come out pretty even and natural looking. I definitely feel more confident wearing white when I have a nice light tan. If I'm tanning for a Saturday I prefer to go on Wednesday for it to look the most natural, Thursday wouldn't be bad either it's just very dark for any event I have on Friday. Make sure to follow all of their helpful guidelines they email you so that you can have the best tan possible, the tips really do make a difference. I also like that they don't try to upsell you stuff while you are there. They will only suggest something if you ask or it makes sense. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion but you can definitely trust them for your big life events!
