Came here for a groupon deal. It was worth the deal but I don't think I would come back and pay regular price. We couldn't find the place so we called but no one picked up. It's in a shopping plaza by fairview and 75th and it's in the corner so you can't see the sign by the road. And go into maps to use gps, don't go through groupon because it will bring you somewhere else. Well out stylist made us wait 20 min because we were late for our reservation but we called asking for help so I don't feel we should have been penalized for that. They need to hire extra help for answering the phones- my stylist answered a personal phone call during my treatment so I feel she should have been able to answer the company's phone. Also the place felt squished and unclean. There was clutter and no one picked up the piles of hair in between customers so you had to hop around the piles. Also our stylist took turns servicing me and my bf so even though we had reservations we spent a long time waiting. I saw an employee chatting with a finished customer so I feel she should have either answered the phone, cleaned up some hair, or blow dried my hair while I was waiting. Or picked up the four mc Donald's cups their previous customers left sitting out an hour ago. Jenny was our stylist and she was very nice and cut my hair the way I wanted. She gave us free samples to take home too of products. It's a shame that her location is the reason I will not use her again. read more

I found this place on Groupon. It was $59 for cut, style and all over color. Great deal, right? Jenny, the owner, offered to do a root touch up and a couple streaks to replace the all over color. Which I thought was nice. But when I left my roots were bright yellow(she didn't leave the toner on long enough). The cut, which she called a feathering, was choppy and I had to fix it myself when I got home. The streaks were barely noticeable. And she didn't really style it. Jenny is a nice lady and I enjoyed talking to her. But when you leave a salon, you want it to look like you went to a salon. Not like you had your little sister do your hair at her kitchen table. It is my opinion that Jenny either overbooked herself, didn't want to do the work required for the price she offered the deal at, or just isn't very good at her job. But no matter what her excuse, no self respecting stylist would have let their client leave with yellow roots. I could have done that myself with a $5 bottle of hair color from Walgreens. I mentioned the problem with the roots at the time, and she said something about not wanting to over process my hair. Nonsense, if you realize that your roots are virgin hair and would be the last place you could over process. I called her a few days later asking her what I needed to buy at Sally's to fix it myself. And basically she told my to ask the people there. Now I wouldn't have trusted her with my hair again, but I think she should have offered to try and fix it. Especially seeing that she is the owner. So beware, because a deal is only a deal if it gets the job done. If it doesn't...it's like you're throwing your money away. And I feel like I threw $80 down the sewer, I know I know...I shouldn't have tipped her. But I didn't realize how bad it looked until I washed, dried, and parted it in a different place. BTW When I parted it in a different place it was so yellow it almost looked orange. Geeesh! read more

Went to Deanna Valentino for first time on a whim - very happy. I came in looking for a change in cut and root touch up and came out with expertly cut hair and pretty color that is much healthier and shinier than when I came in. Saw her do a lovely "casual" updo while I was there too. That client was also happy with her "un-fussy" but elegant chic look. My hair is wavy and although it's blown straight in picture, she was good about asking how it changes when it's shorter etc. Highly recommend her! read more

I decided to try this salon because I heard that they were advertising Brazilian Blowouts. My hair is very curly and tends to get dry an frizzy. Jenny was my hairdresser and she was very nice and helpful. I thought the price was reasonable and she did good job cutting and straightening my hair. It's been a month now since I had the treatment and my hair still feels smooth and is a lot straighter. I would definitely return to this shop. read more

Salon Q is owned by Jenny and others rent out their spaces from her. I have been going to Jenny since shortly after she opened. I was a walk in and wanted a haircut while I waited for a store to open. Jenny got me in right away, listened to what i wanted and cut it exactly the way I asked. Since that day, I have had a few different styles. I brought in a YouTube video of a hair style and she was able to cut mine to look the same. I don't understand the bad reviews. I haven't had a color there, but anything I have done has been done well. Jenny is really very pleasant and easy to talk to too and I think does a fantastic job for the price. Her hair cuts are very reasonable. Since that first day she has gotten much busier so now I make an appointment but she is always very accommodating. Also, to the other reviewer, Kelli, I have not seen piles of hair and I have gone there every 5-6 weeks for 3 years, maybe you were there on an off day or had a stylist other than Jenny. read more
