I really liked my hair after, my stylist did really well. So no hate towards her at all. But... I was quoted $115 for the partial. Ended up being $125, which I didn't mind. I also waited 45 minutes after my appointment time. Then a blow dry was done that seemed like it was part of the service, and I also would have declined as I went home and showered anyways. The blow dry added another $50. I didn't get an itemized bill so I called in after to try and understand why the bill was a lot higher than expected. They said since the service was completed that I couldn't get a refund and insisted that I got a discount for the partial anyways because online it even says $150 starting. On the phone before the appt, they said $115 and after this call, I checked online and its $125. So I don't know. I really wouldn't have minded as much just knowing the amount upfront. But almost an hour wait time and extra hidden fees just makes the experience not as positive for me. read more

I spent over 200$ for this??? Not what I asked for. I've gone blonde before and yes I understand that I had dark roots but the rest was blonde when I came to get hair done. As you can see ...Not blended well/orange/green tint. When I go in to complain - I'm put into the position of arguing with the hair dresser. That I am I insulting her work/profession. Basically yelling at me. So I'm not allowed to complain if it looks like this??? I gave them 3 starts bc they did refund my money. I would have given them 1 star for being so rude. After years of trying to find someone to help with my hair loss and damage I thought I had finally found a caring and wonderful stylist in Ashley. She was amazing. I called today to make my monthly treatment appointment and was told by the front desk worker that Ashley "was done" and would no longer see me because of all of my no shows. I have NEVER once had a no show. I did call last month WITH notice when I had to cancel an appointment she squeezed in for me because of an emergency with my son. I even double checked that the front desk would call her because she was coming from the city to make this appointment. They CONFIRMED they would contact her. The only reason I had that appointment in the first place is because I was never scheduled (as I requested when I made the appointment) to have sample extensions put in my previous appointment by the front desk. Ashley had mentioned then that there must have been a misunderstanding with the front desk. So apparently there, yet again, was a miscommunication and because the front desk did not communicate that, she would not call me back and no longer see me as a client. I do not understand how there is no record of this anywhere. I will provide call logs of me calling in that day and all they could say is "well she made the appointment so..." This is not the first time a mistake was made. I have not been scheduled for services I requested 2 times before this but Ashley always found a way to make it work. I am so offended that it was assumed I was a no show instead of checking with the front desk first. Neither Ashley or a manager was available to speak about this tonight. I spend hundreds of dollars here every month for the past year and have always looked forward to my appointments. I truly appreciated how much she has helped me with my hair health and just confidence in general. I am devastated to say that she and Fuse has lost my business. I have never have been "shunned" by a hair stylist, let alone accused of being so inconsiderate to one as well. Do not go here if you would like to be valued as a customer. I have been coming to Fuse since they opened in Manteno in 2002. It is the first salon I have been to that could manage my thick, curly hair. Their stylists are all highly trained. Beth is my stylist and does an amazing job with both color and styling! Anyone I have referred to her has been very happy. Leah is a responsible business owner and well-respected member of the community. I highly recommend! Note: This salon is taking necessary precautions during pandemic. I appreciate that in a business. They have remodeled their salon to optimize space. It is light and airy! read more

I recently got a facial with Emily C. She did an amazing job! She was so knowledgeable about all of the products. Emily was very professional and made my first facial so enjoyable! We focused on getting rid of my acne scars, after the appointment my acne scars are barely visible! I will definitely be back. She did a great job! read more

Leah the owner severely discolored my hair. My blonde highlights became burnt orange and pink. I gave her a chance to fix it a week later as she only works Thursday nights, and all she did was throw in a few foils to do a few highlights. Gave her one more chance at my next scheduled appointment and all she did was the same few highlights leaving me with burnt orange areas in my hair after two attempts to fix it. I finally drove 5 hours round trip to visit my former hair stylist who had moved to Iowa to be with her mother, and she was able to fix most of Leahs mess. She commented on how lazy Leah was not doing anything other than throwing in a few highlights to try to fix the severe discoloring. I won't be going back for a 4th appointment at Fuse. read more

Every time I come into this salon, I feel like I'm at home. Emily is my hair artist and she NEVER disappoints. Everyone is so kind and genuinely fun to interact with. I feel like I leave the salon looking amazing each and every time. Their boutique makes it a true one stop shop. It's weird to me that the previous reviewer reviewed the owner so poorly because every time I come in here I see her clients looking like models in the chair. My stylist's chair is right next to the owners and I see how much time she spends on their hair. Oh well... I love this place! And all of the people! Hair is a subjective art and it takes good communication and honesty to achieve what you want. Go to Emily :) Not only is she an amazing person in general, but she is truly gifted at hair. read more
