The space is gorgeous, set in a shared office building (with a live terrarium!). Everything about Benita's space is about relaxation and taking care of yourself. I recommend a Swedish massage for relaxing, but if you have a ton of knots, you might want to ask for a deep tissue massage. She didn't even look at my paper that I filled out and asked me the same questions I just answered. But she NEVER addressed my issues why I came there. I asked for deep tissue but received medium at best. Never asked how is the pressure or anything. Only thing she said to me after the massage started was scoot down and turn over. Absolutely incredible. Not in a good way…read more I had an appointment scheduled for MONTHS. The owner Sandra called 2 days before to reschedule my appointment. I informed her I have cleared my schedule for this, but we agreed to a later time, stating my schedule masseuse Sharon had a doctors appointment. She did NOT inform me it would be a different masseuse. I show up on time for my appointment. She then states that I was with someone different. I do not trust just anyone to massage me, since I am pregnant. Sharon ( a fantastic masseuse I've known for years) agreed to perform my pregnancy massage. Sandra says in the nastiest tone "Sharon doesn't DO pregnancy massage. I told you on the phone it would be someone different." How disrespectful. So not only did Sandra lie to me, she wasted my time as I had to drive 45 minutes to get to my appointment. I told her to cancel my appointment, to which she says "fine." If you're ok with letting hundreds of potential dollars of regular business walk out the door, then so be it. My mother is also reconsidering. She has been a regular client for years. It doesn't help that her facilities are dark and depressing. She used to be located in a beautiful place in Flossmoor. I'm sure they would not tolerate this type of behavior, hence now why the dark and dank location.
