I came to this place in Chinatown because the desserts looked to be on the lighter side. It's tucked away in a neat little alley of shops and restaurants, where I wouldn't have minded dining on another night. The person that helped me at the counter didn't exude the best customer service. She just told me what needed to know and got me through the transaction with minimal effort. Nothing terribly wrong with that, but a little energy would be refreshing after walking around in the heat and humidity. I ordered the a green tea crepe cake because I love crepes and have never had it in this form, with a scoop of green tea ice cream on the side. The ice cream had a stronger taste than I'm used to, but that subsides quickly after the first scoop. The crepe cake was a novel experience. The slice wasn't super rich like I was hoping. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the texture I was getting with the multiple layers of crepe and added layers of something green that I couldn't figure out. Now that I've tried it, I would prefer to just have a regular crepe. There were several other things I would've liked to have tried, and the place was very clean and had a nice calm ambiance, so if I ever come back to Chicago I'm open to returning. read more

I love Mango Mango - I've been going to Mango Mango (in other cities) for over a decade probably and I love their mango watermelon sago dessert soup bowl. It's a classic and my go-to, which makes it hard for me to try other items on the menu. On my most recent visit, we tried the mango shaved ice, which my friend loved but I thought was just fine. There are many boba shops on this strip mall. So to have an Asian dessert place with many other types of desserts -- crepes, warm pastes, sundaes, shaved ice, boba teas, and fruit bowls. It's definitely a great place to go if you're with a large group since everyone can get their own thing. We got the mango and strawberry crepe and the walnut paste soup. The crepe was smaller than I had imagined and my only complaint is that the coconut ice cream it came with tasted like durian, presumably because the ice creams are stored together and durian is a pungent flavor that will seep in with the other ice creams. There was a lot of whipped cream in the crepe and it was a lot smaller than other crepes I'd had. It was also less moist than I was used to, but the fruit in it was fresh. The walnut paste soup with rice balls was served very hot and the mochi in it was good, but it would have been great if there was syrup or fillings in them, since it was a little plain. Not sure if they put the wrong thing in, since we ordered the rice balls and it tasted like mochi. Overall though, this is a solid and unique dessert place. read more

I really liked this place, it was a very elegant, warm, inviting cafe. The place was really crowded and people were enjoying just being there. It was popular place to be.
