Mango Grill is in my top 3 favorite hometown restaurants!! My family and I have dinner at Mango at least 3-4 times per month. Our favorite dishes are: *Gobi Manchurian *garlic naan (BEST around!) *onion bahjji *garlic shrimp pataka *shrimp vindaloo *vegetable briyani *shrimp kasa *goan fish curry I have never once gotten an appetizer or entree that I didn't like!! The owners are absolutely lovely and very welcoming to me and my family. As soon as they see us come through the door, they already know to put an order in for garlic naan!! Amazing food, amazing owners. Absolutely fantastic restaurant that I HIGHLY recommend!!

I used this place from long time a goo , unfortunately it become a rib-off , the prices become 20% up & amount of food it's nothing how come lamb curry for 16,95$, it was for 14,95$ last few weeks , also it's not the same prices as menu show up ... I attached receipt to check the prices there and the prices on a menu , charging 7,99$ per pound for a buffet. Plus , adding some items on pickup receipt not even ordered. It used be a best Indian place in town , but for me I will not go there anymore.

This place is a gem, and it's sorely needed here. The food is meticulously prepared, delicious, and fresh. A go-to when we want the complex, heart-warming flavor of Indian food, and it compares really favorably to the places we've tried in DC, MD and VA. We love this spot, the lunch buffet is very affordable with options for vegetarians and meat eaters. The yogurt mango smoothie is excellent and can really take the experience to the next level. Chef Raj is almost always around and checks on the dining room often giving it that personal touch of an owner who cares. Dinner service is very enjoyable with large portions and even gluten free options. Great apps and Thai food in addition to the best Indian food in town. No on premise alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer in to enjoy with your dinner. We go a couple times a month and have never had a bad experience. read more

All you can eat buffet was THE BOMB. For less that $11 this place filled me up with some of the most delicious Indian food I've eaten. I also really liked how the vegan and vegetarian dishes were labeled! Definitely check it out! read more

On the road from New Jersey to Nashville. We yelped and found this fantastic Thai Restaurant. Highly recommend the Papdi Chaat as an appetizer. Light w/ full bodied spices. We also had the Lazeez Saag Paneer and Eggplant Bhartha. Excellent! And don't leave w/o trying their Mango Lassi... Just perfect all around! read more

Ate here a few months ago. Did not have Thai food available yet. I had a curry dish with a bountiful amount of lamb . The dish had more meat than any other Indian Restaurant I have ever tried. Excellent! As long as you can prove you are of age, they permit you to bring your own libations. We need to get back there soon! read more

Have been here only two times, but I really enjoyed it. The flavors and textures of the various dishes on the buffet blend together to create an out of this world meal. I hate this place not only is it lackluster as hell but the food is cheap and unappealing. The decor is ghetto, they play the same music track over and over which gives me a headache. We had never eaten Indian Food previous to our experience at Mango Grill. We were very excited! We had been recommended this location by a couple friends of ours who are foodies. When we arrived the staff greeted us immediately - even the patrons were welcoming and friendly. We had reservations and they sat us within 5 minutes (we were 15 early). We had a conversation with the waiter about his recommendations and popular patron choices. We ordered 5 different dishes and shared (I honestly do not recall the names) - but each and every single one was DELICIOUS!!! This is authentic Indian cuisine and if you order spicy - they warned that it's significantly spicier than most American cuisine offers. We just ordered everything as it is on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and experience - we most definitely will be back!!! The folks we went with said it's the best Indian cuisine around this area and is certainly authentic! read more

The food was very good and the portions were more than generous. I had a dietary concern to which I was quickly offered a substitute that was not on the menu (which was absolutely delicious). The staff was extremely professional and helpful. I was very impressed that the chef even came over to the table to ask if the food met our expectations. I would of never expected or seen that high level of service anywhere in the area. I would definitely be back very soon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!! read more

Outstanding! The atmosphere is unassuming. The staff is extremely polite. They definitely let the food do the talking. I got the lunch buffet for $10....an amazing deal in itself. Been here twice for the lunch buffet, my FAVORITE in town! I have a lot of friends that think Indian is disgusting because you can't tell what it is, that's kind of my favorite. They put out tray after tray of Indian dishes. Meats, rices, salads, relishes, vegetable dishes etc. Everything is ALWAYS amazing. Served with hot, fresh Naan bread to start your meal. Service is polite and respectful, and attentive. Price is fair. Haven't been for dinner but after having the lunch twice, I don't need to. Best Indian food I've ever had! I've loved this place ever since it was downtown, and dearly missed it while it was gone. I could not be happier to have it back and I visit as often as possible! Reasonable prices, great customer service and wide varieties of food that change daily. Raj is a humble and very sweet individual who cares so much about his customers. Visited with my wife on Black Friday. Enjoyed the samosas, garlic naan and malai kofta that were on the buffet that day. My wife enjoyed the chicken tikka masala too. Good variety and good flavors ... but oooo, a couple of the dishes brought the spice. Not for the faint of heart or stomach. Been waiting for another Indian place to open up in Hagerstown for a while, and I'm glad Mango Grill is here. The lunch buffet is the way to go so you can try a little bit of everything. Their buffet even has paneer on it, which most Indian buffets I've been to do not. The only drawback is the location is quite small with only about 10 tables. Depending on the crowd, you could be waiting a while. read more

Goan Specialties Goa is a state along the western coastline of India, just south of Bombay (Mumbai). Goa was long colonized by the Portuguese, and the cuisine--like the culture--blends elements of Portugal and India. Ingredients such as chilis, coconut, and wine vinegar are used extensively in Goan recipes. Occasionally the cuisine can be hot. Mughlai Specialties The rule of the Mughuls in Northern India began in 1526 and lasted 300 years. During this time the royal kitchens of the Mughul emperors used exotic imported spices and new ingredients like nuts, which were not used in Indian cooking before. My friend who usually gets mild said it was a little too spicy for her.

The truck grille, the walls and punjabi songs on tv completed the picture. The menu is large and had a lot of choices. We ordered the appetizer platter. Was good enough for three adults. Ordered Shahi Paneer no spice, but Sarason ka saag medium spice. Ordered chole bhature. Everything was heavenly. The bhature had no oil, very soft and tasty!! The spicier stuff also has subtle tastes to them. Not to be missed if you are passing on 81 or live nearby. We drove an hour to get there. Worth making the trip. Great food and awesome service. Will definitely be back. Best of all it is in a truck stop!!

We are thrilled that Mango Grill, with its amazing chef and owner, Raj, is open in Hagerstown. Fans of the old Taj India in town will be happy to know the food is as wonderful as it ever was. We had two different entrees (Chana Masala and Paneer Tikka Masala), a specialty naan bread with fruit and nuts, and an order of (2) samosas (served with tamarind and coriander chutneys). Everything was perfect, exquisitely seasoned and beautifully presented. I've been eating Indian food all over the country for decades, and the tikka masala sauce here is the best I've ever tasted. The menu features many gluten-free and vegan items (marked as such), and a wide variety of vegetarian options, plus all the traditional chicken, lamb, tandoor and other Indian specialties. I can't speak to the Thai food since we had Indian, but my confidence in Raj makes me believe it will be great. We are not friends of the owner, just long-time regular customers of his previous restaurant, and thrilled to pieces that his delicious food is back! The restaurant is newly open (June 2, 2014), and the cheerful interior is painted the color of a ripe mango. It's comfortable, welcoming, and reasonably priced.
