I feel like I am going to catch some heat here but here goes... Best pizza I have had since moving to New Jersey. I was in NYC a lot this year and still, this was better. (Prove me wrong? Send a message with a place and I will try it out). We've had plain, pepperoni, and a few speacialty pizzas. The crust is flavorful and has just the right amount of crispiness. The sauce is tasty. Cheese is thick. The mozzarella sticks were okay, not too special but everything else we had was top notch. Reheated the pizza the next day and as we all know pizza is always better the second time you drop it in the oven. I can't speak to the store or anything else as we ordered online. Uh!!! Negative 1000 stars if I could! We ordered delivery on 8/24/22. Over one hour and a half later - it arrived. We had to call numerous times asking for status. When the food finally arrived I noticed the delivery guy was standing out by the curb holding our order, but not walking up to our front door. I opened the door and asked him if he had our delivery and he said, "he was not approaching the house because of our dog." Well, we do not and never had a dog. Unreal. Food arrives - the pizza had entire sections of cheese missing - just sauce. It was cold and cardboard like. Inedible! The mozzarella sticks tasted and smelled like FISH! In fact, this taste and smell of fish was so prominent, I broke one open to make sure I did not get actual fish sticks by accident. So the entire lunch was inedible. And what's up with these prices! $55 dollars for our order - that's the price of a decent entrée at a 5 start restaurant. And it gets better: We called the restaurant roughly an hour after this slop arrived and and explained our tale of woe to the man who answered the phone. Instead of showing genuine concern for unhappy customers, he chose to argue with us and tell us how great his food is and basically accused us of lying (right down to denying the 90 minute plus delivery time.) If this man is a Yelper and is reading this right now - shame on you. I would personally like to invite you and your family to my home to eat these wonderful leftovers.....that delicious "fresh" food you claim you serve. I will also supply the barf bags. read more

Do not order delivery from here! The delivery took almost an hour and a half. When I called to ask about where my delivery is, they didn't even bother to check on my delivery guy and rudely just dismissed me. The atmosphere is really beautiful with a light rustic feel to it. The staff is exemplary. They are very pleasant and genuinely polite and friendly. The pies look delectable. I had a salad slice topped with mozzarella and prosciutto. It was delicious and picturesque. This place is great for groups, lunch, dinner or a quick solo run. If you don't want to sit down at a table, they have a set up where you can grab a stool and eat your slice in peace. My one complaint: I was unable to scarf down one of each desert flute because my pants do not have at least 5% spandex in the material and it's un professional to recline your office chair and in button your pants at your desk.... so I'll just have to return. Coming from Brooklyn I have been spoiled with amazing pizza everywhere. I am so disappointed with this pizza. It literally tastes like cardboard. No sauce flavor. Ziti slice was dry and a waste. Mangiamo's was one of my favorite Italian restaurants for a long time. It wasn't the best quality Italian food I've ever had but it was absolutely worth it for the consistency you were given. As I walked into the new restaurant, I noticed the whole staff and ownership has changed. Dirty plates everywhere and a staff that was seemingly indifferent to cleanliness was noticeable. Employees eating in the back , letting out burps and odd characters visibly playing in the kitchen was not appetizing to say the least. It was one of the more bizarre experiences I've ever had at a restaurant and most likely be the last time I will ever visit here. Really sad. read more

Had my sons first birthday party catered by them.. Everything was perfect.. they showed up at the exact time they were suppose to.. Once they showed up they completely set up the racks,water trays, and lit the sturnos.. All we had to do was take the covers off which was good bc we had 85 hungry people.. I recently visited this restaurant with a few friends of mine. I have to say that the staff is extremely pleasant. Very friendly, very helpful. The reason for my low rating is because three people at the table got very sick from the food. One of us didn't even make it out of the restaurant before having to visit the restroom and was in there for 30 minutes being sick. That friend also continued to be sick throughout the night. This restaurant is in the same town that I live in so it was a short ride home. As soon as I got home, it didn't even take five minutes before I was in the bathroom getting sick. I also was sick at the entire night. This kind of thing should not happen. I don't think I'll be visiting this restaurant again. read more

Strangely enough, I was going to call this place for delivery today, but it appears my review was removed for some reason? Unsure Yelp is a strange and mysterious place. Anyways, my review stands! I bought a mini stromboli which was called a pinwheel if I recall, I brought this home because I was stuffed, I gave it to my fiance and she consumed it voraciously and told me it was amazing. Honestly, I'm trying every slice of pizza I can in New Jersey and this is far and beyond the best slice of pizza I have had out of maybe the 20 places I have tried in the last year or so. I'm actually ordering some food from here later today so I can bring it home tonight because I am craving the flavor! Update: Just got delivery here and yeah not a fan any longer. My pizza was really doughy and chewy (possibly under-baked?). Flavor was decent, but it didn't take me to where I wanted to be (my first experience here). The ham and cheese calzone I dropped $7 on is laughable, it's pretty much 80% dough...15% cheese (mozzarella and ricotta blend) and 5% ham. I can't believe I haven't written a review for my fave pizza place. Mangiamo's is by far the best in Bergen County. Every time I hear they will be taking care of my kid's birthday parties, I have been happy. Pizza+ with quality ingredients, the way you like it. I've ordered here myself a bunch of times, pick up and delivery. If it's raining, obviously ask how long it may take for delivery. They always have an adequate number of associates working to answer phones, take orders, customer service etc. Today I asked if I could have a pizza with less cheese, more sauce, thin crust..it was PERFECT. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to get this at other places. Thank you Mangiamo for always a pleasant experience.
