So, I just randomly chose Kenzie because she had a time that fit well with my schedule. And I'm really glad I did. I went in and explained what I wanted, I showed her pictures from back when I really enjoyed how my hair was cut. She then proceeded to wash and cut my hair. She then deliberately dried my hair so that she could continue to cut it while dry - which honestly I think it the best for my hair. Kenzie worked her magic while asking for input from me. I was able to tell her what I wanted and where I thought it needed some changes, and she was very open and responsive to that input. I really appreciated that. In the end, my hair is exactly the way I wanted it, and I am VERY VERY happy. I will definitely be coming back to Kenzie at Ritual Salon!

This was absolutely the worst experience I think I've ever had at a salon. I came to have my hair…read moretouched up for my bridal shower and left with a patchy mess and 5 inches cut off after I asked several times to keep as much length as possible. Marin became overwhelmed when she realized how patchy the bleach was at the root, and without communicating at all, slapped a brown dye over my roots, which just obviously added to the lack of blending into the blonde highlights. From there she tried to send me on my way without even finishing the blunt cut she started. After I asked what was happening, she sent Joe over who told me he didn't see the problem and it was just the light. After hearing how my hip length hair was suddenly to my shoulders, he offered to fix the color, which I accepted as long as he did it and not the inexperienced stylist. I showed up to my 5:30 appointment time and sat waiting for 30 minutes while he walked around, chatted with staff, and decided to teach a lesson on curl technique. When I stood up to leave, as I had an appointment after that was clearly stated to them when booking, and reassured would be fine, he had the audacity to look me in the face and say "weren't we only supposed to start 15 minutes ago? They must have booked you wrong". This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had, I would NEVER recommend this salon to ANYONE. I had been a happy client here for years, and clearly it's because I had never met the owner. I'm now left with a hack job haircut and patchy hair one week before my shower and 90 days from my wedding. Please do not ever consider this salon. An unprofessional leader creates unprofessional staff, and clearly this place is going downhill fast. I would recommend reading other 1 star reviews where rather than taking accountability for the "professional services" they screwed up for others, they leave a 5 page paragraph telling the reviewer to basically F off. Poor management, poor customer service while touting a professional experience, and a lack of accountability for services they can't actually provide. Only go here if you're willing to hate how you look and feel afterward.

The salon itself was nice and the staff seemed friendly. At first, everything seemed fine, and I clearly explained how I wanted my hair styled. I have a short bob that can be styled in a lot of different ways. When my stylist parted my hair down the middle, I got a little nervous but hoped it would turn out okay. The entire service was done with just a round brush and blow dryer. When she finished, I was honestly disappointed and told her so. The style made me feel like I looked like a little boy, and I said I could have achieved the same result myself at home. She responded by saying that's just how my hair responds, but I disagreed because I've had my hair styled many times before and know what it's capable of. (Basically I called BS) I even offered to show photos of previous blowouts I've loved. What I asked for was simple, some volume with a slightly sleek finish. I also mentioned that my hair can be parted in different ways. At one point she suggested curling it, but after later looking at the salon's website, I noticed they charge extra for flat iron or curling iron work, which may explain why it wasn't initially offered. To her credit, she did try to fix it, and it looked better, but overall I still wasn't very happy with the experience.
