I love the pomegranate, the quinoa, avocado but most of all the mock chicken (made of tofu). I have been eating Mandy's salads ever since I was in highschool and they were in the back of a little clothing shop. I love their signature salads and how you can build your own which makes it very easy for anyone who has dietary restrictions. Ordered their Wolfe salad and the Fave for a treat during quarantine. The Wolfe has always been my favourite (ironically not the Fave haha) and I am never disappointed with it. Even though it doesn't have any big source of protein, it always fills me up and keeps me full. The Fave was good as well but wouldn't order again. They were both very fresh and came with a good amount of dressing which I find is what brings the salad to a whole other level. However, this is the first time I have take out from them where the containers are not their classic tall ones but instead more round with a flower shape. I was a little disappointed because it seemed like there was less inside, or maybe I don't do well with change who knows! read more

I've heard so much about this place; this salad place that is managed & owned by 2 sisters. Once I saw their pink food truck in Vieux Montreal and then I decided to try their salad place. There have a small terrasse, perfect for a sunny day. When you enter to order your salad you just feel hit by a retro mood. Design wise, the PLACE IS AMAZING ! The salads aren't that good. I will tell you why later on. They have a small counter to order on the go, with fresh juices, fresh drinks , organic tea, small cookies... The pineapple Wallpaper print, the frames on the wall, the design of the chairs and tables , the colors of the place, the chesterfield blue couches gives this restaurant a tropical and very calm and modern touch. The outside terrace is very nice, they use french chairs that are very confortable, small fer forgé tables, they even have a small spot for dogs on sherbrooke street. For what we ordered, their ready made salad , i was very disappointed, a salad at baton rouge is even better. Tones of romaine lettuce, you can see the bowl, it is all green. I had an asian salad , and my mom had a mexi salad. The only asian ingredient in the asian salad are the uncooked ramen noddles ( the ones you get for 1$ from the grocery store and boil them at home) and the sauce. The mexi salad had the usual beens and corn and pieces of tortilla. The concept of the 2 sisters is very creative and the design is at its top. The idea of having a salad place is also a great idea, giving the fact that everybody is on a diet these days. But personally, I am disappointment of the salads. I do suggest they add more ingredient and get even more creative with the recipe. To watch out for the coming year for improvements!! read more

My friends and I love this place! It's such a great spot - in terms of location and the obvious reason of great food. There are so many options of how you can make your salad, what to put in it etc, so it can be a lot and be super filling. The staff are friendly too, and it's just adorable! I'm gonna talk about the ramen here today, but just to get it out of the way, the salads and other soups are excellent. I found the December salad in particular to be a nice surprise! But, I'm more writing this review as Mandy's was part of my Ramen Rampage when I discovered that they now offer ramen noodles as a soup option ... effectively putting Mandy's on the NDG ramen map! The nice thing about Mandy's is that the extreme level of customization means you get exactly what you ask for -- no more, no less. This isn't going to be your perfectly authentic Tampopo-level ramen experience, but when you need to eat some kale and carrots but you have a hankering for ramen, you need to come to Mandy's. Build-your-own is the name of the game at Mandy's (okay they have suggested combos too) so just pick a broth (the vegetarian broth is on point!), get some ramen noodles in there, maybe add some protein, pick your veg, and your wish is Mandy's command. Why is Mandy's so lowly rated?? Is this a prank? Mandy's is amazing!! The first time I've had it was via DoorDash and despite the exorbitant price, ($13-20 per salad), I was a Mandy lifer. Every salad we've tried (Caesar, Asian, endless summer, Waldorf, le fave) has been a knockout. And yes, they are pricey, but heck if I made this myself I'd end up spending like $30 at least and making a mess that I'd then have to clean. Mandy's is the place we go to when we're feeling like we need a colon flush from all the delicious artery clogging foods we typically indulge in. Their salads are huge and packed with goodies. I love that they have wonderful textures with varying nuts, and always fresh/crisp tasting (unless it's my fault for dawdling too long and letting the salad sog). Of note their temari mock chicken is really really good. It tastes a bit like tofu jerky for you Chinese ppl out there (the small brown cubed ones). It's earthy, meaty, with slight tastes of tofu and shiitake. To find them in the salad is like hitting an umami gem, and adds so much to an already great salad. Their sauces are always just right in terms of amount and flavor. Things normally that you'd think would not work, somehow Mandy's knows how to pull it all together. Pro tip: ask for sauce on the side, find a larger bowl at home and toss salad there. It'll make for a much more carefree eating experience instead of needing to cautiously and timidly leaf around the dressing. Service is fast, friendly, and their stores are absolutely gorgeous! Soo cute from the colors chosen to the merch they display. Order in advance for pick up as even on a weekday there was a pile of ppl waiting outside for pickup and ordering. Now mind you, we are carnivorous, butter loving, potatoes are veggies ppl. But Mandy's is a safe haven of deliciousness that we need to make us into temporary veggie loving converts. read more

Believe it or not this was my first time at a Mandy's restaurant. My nieces Live for salads and I've heard such amazing things about this place for years! So I decided to give it a try.. we took 3 salads 2 water bottles and 1 can of drink and with the tip (15 percent) came up to 80$ lol. I was shocked but honestly the amount of salad you get in that huge bowl is insane! Plus the place is so freaking cute you're literally paying for the experience & yummy salad. My friend recommended this place while staying in Montreal. The interior is really cute and definitely instagrammable. There was limited seating though but I still managed to snag a seat. I ordered the seared tuna salad (even though it was reaaaally pricey) I thought, hey might as well try something unique and I love sashimi. The salad itself was pretty good, there were plenty of toppings. The tuna fell short in my opinion with no real flavour. By the end of the salad I got really tired of chewing and while it was filling, it wasn't that satisfying. I will say the salads are pretty unique and they have a great combination of toppings... but the price? Not sure if I'd be back, but I'd recommend visiting a Mandy's at least once for the experience. read more

Second time I come here and I've been dying to come back ever since the first! This location seems to be under construction so it's very small with like two tables so I would recommend it solely for pick up at the moment. It had a Wide selection of salads all with exotic ingredients. I got the Asian salad again and loved it just as much as the first time. I LOVE the Asian sesame dressing!!! omg yum. I know, I know "it's just salad" but really it's more than that. You can create your own delicious salad with ingredients like mango, avocado, cilantro, etc, that you might not be bothered to chop up at home. Does my salad cost between $14-20? YES. Usually when I come here it's at the insistence of my wife - who loves it. I find the best way to eat here to call in your order rather than walking up to the counter because it's always busy. That being said they are typically fast nonetheless (last time it was a five minute wait when I didn't order ahead which I considered pretty good). The food is generally pricy, but I've not met a bad salad from there yet. The portions are large - personally I would rather a half portion from there myself... if you like salads, this is a good place to try. We used to love ordering from Mandy's. It is healthy, fresh, and usually convenient, however, lately it has been more aggravating than it is worth. The orders for pickup have been extremely late on the last few orders we have placed, and we end up standing around endlessly waiting for our food, while the staff seem to always be scrambling to deal with one issue or another. One time they ran out of takeout containers. Another time they had not even started preparing our salads 20 min past pickup time, and while we were waiting for the order, we saw staff removing ingredients from one salad and moving it to another. Well although they are the healthier choice, Mandy's just goes to show that they offer far more than a "light" lunch. This is some hearty grub! Best part, variety. Oh and REAL ingredients, no plastic tasting iceberg lettuce as filler. Great cheeses, veggies, meats, fruit, nuts, greens, etc. And serious dressing options. I've been there more times than I can count. And the whole back of a boutique salad bar with just enough seating room, attractive clientele and smiling, knowledgeable staff really does it for me. I recently picked up the Danielle-Raeghan salad to go, with mock chicken. I used to LOVE this salad and ate every last morsel. However, I've been quite disappointed with the salad the last couple of times I've brought it. Maybe 3-4 chunks of avocado, 5 pieces of strawberry and just barely enough mock chicken to justify the extra cost for it (barely!). The salad seems to be lacking in flavour and in fresh taste. Definitely have noticed a difference in quality since Mandy's has expanded all over the city. I used to crave their salads and had to stop myself from going too often. I got some brownies and chocolate chip cookies for a meeting extrapolating that if their salads are good then the baked things must be worth a try as well. The gluten free really tempted me to try them. Super disappointed. The chocolate chip cookie was wayyyyy too sweet. I think I got diabetes immediately. Brownies aren't supposed to be over baked, BUT they aren't supposed to be under baked either. Brownies were also too sweet and you can taste the salt as well. My favourite salad place anywhere including New York City. I always get the Caesar salad as the Caesar dressing is homemade and light unlike all other Caesar dressings I've had. I love the pita chips instead of croutons for the crunch. I always get great service too as I am quite the regular. Great for lunch or dinner as the salads are large and filling. read more

There's some sort of sorcery going on here. It's the only explanation for how they make salads taste this good! This is like going to a candy shop for healthy eaters- yet it still somehow feels like an indulgence. To be fair, some of their pre-designed salads are pretty naughty but, with that said, how healthy (or not) your meal ends up being is entirely up to you. Their portions are enormous and, unless you're really starving, are hard to finish in one go. I'm personally not the biggest fan of their soups, but I like that they come in more reasonable size options and are entirely customizable.
