We visited Montreal for 2-1/2 days, and found Mandy's about 2 blocks from our hotel. We had coffee and yogurt parfaits there every day. It is beautifully and cheerfully furnished, and the staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. Kelly made us feel at home the first day, and we kept returning. The food is fresh and tasty. I considered building my own preferred bowl, but decided on a preset bowl to keep is simple. Ordered a Cookie Monster smoothie, can of Pomelo seltzer, a 32 ounce bowl of the lentil peanut soup, two bowls of the protein power with hard boiled eggs added to the bowl. C$75.31 The protein bowl is good, not super heavy or intense in flavor, but a good balance to the rest of the food consumed today. The mint and basil makes the salad refreshing. I am definitely getting in my quinoa today. The lentil soup has little lentil, some chick peas too, could use more lentil in it. Unbelievably beautiful dining room for some amazing salads, even if they seem to be on the pricier side - they are worthwhile especially for a vegan friendly option. My friend raved about trying Mandy's and their salads. The economical option is to select one of their pre-conceived choices and then add a protein of choice, which was how I ended up with my Sesame Dressed Salad with Peanut Chick'n. Apparently the soy based one is not vegan which I'm not sure if that's true, but I took the staff's word for it. Once you order, take a seat and wait for the massive salad to appear in front of you. It was one of the best dine-out salads I have had - loaded with fresh ingredients and the option for plant-based protein made it all the better. This is my first visit to Montreal. I live in the bay area of California. I was looking for a place with salad. I somehow stumbled by Mandy's. It was fabulous! I have returned and will each day of my trip. I get the 'make my own' salad. Everything is very fresh. So delicious! So many options. It is an absolutely adorable, sweet and very charming environment. There are varied places to sit whether for one or a fabulous large round table that easily holds probably 10. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There are some great windows to look out. You can see outdoor tables below, Very beautiful. The individual young women I have engaged with are lovely, friendly, engaging and welcoming. Everything is wonderful at this location of Mandy's. I have never been to the other area locations. Also, check out the fabulous items, such as sweatshirts, cookbook, and other gifts. There are food items for sale as well. Nut butters and some other things are also offered. Check out the water basin. I have never seen anyplace that has the charming water faucet with spillover basin. Absolutely love this place. It can be pricey. I put a lot in my salad including chicken, tomato, two fruits, cheese, nuts, etc... and it's about $34 Canadian. I am certain that you will live the good and the ambiance. read more

I don't like salad in general, but this place changed my mind about it. Unlike salad bars stateside, the bowl was full and the dressing was light and flavorful. I ate at Mandy's twice in October 2022, while visiting Montréal for work. This is such a wonderful little place with really high-quality food. The two salads I tried (peanut satay and endless summer) were both excellent, with notably fresh and flavorful ingredients. (I added grilled chicken to each, fwiw) The portion size was also very generous. Service was so kind and attentive. I don't think there is anything negative about this place worth noting. For those who noticed the Kindle beside my salad bowl - I was reading Cloud Cuckoo Land. I wish I could experience that novel all over again, it is a contemporary masterpiece!! read more

The mock chicken is really good but I prefer it on the side so it's not soggy and incorporate it into the salad as I go. My wife (the cardiac rehab nurse) waited several weeks to exact her revenge for my last poutine outing, dragging me kicking and screaming to a salad place for lunch. My expectations were low, even after entering a very nice looking, if somewhat overly feminine, dining space. The salad menu is huge and it took me several minutes to narrow my choice down to a Mexican salad with grilled chicken. Sigh, at least Brit & Chips is around the corner if this doesn't go well... This has got to be the cutest place in Old Port! I absolutely love the decor, the vibe and the menu of course! I went there to pick up lunch for me and some coworkers but as soon as I got in I regretted we had to come back because the place is ADORABLE. I also love that they have a mini store section where you can wonder around while you wait for your food. The menu is amazing if you want to get something healthy but sttill creative and tasty. Their cookies are also really good! If you work around this area do yourself a favour and take your lunch break at this Mandy's. It's such a relaxing spot with all the plants and big space! I think everyone (including myself) had their phones out taking photos of their meals & the store itself. Its just too cute! I ordered "the fave" and the hubby had the lumberjack salad. While mine was light and tasty, I preferred his garlic-y dressing to my lime vinaigrette. Ordering can be a tad slow at the cash if you get stuck behind the wrong people, but once ordering, service is pretty quick, and we must have had our salads at least 5 minutes after ordering our meals. The romaine lettuce in this dish was very tasty, and I liked the cilantro/cumin vinaigrette dressing that came with it. The kids shared the lumberjack salad. To me, this one was seriously lacking in flavor. There just wasn't anything there that differentiates it from any other chain restaurant's salad. The Caesar dressing didn't do much for it, and it simply lacked a lot of flavor. But, overall, we had a great experience in a very pleasant environment.
