Best place in twin cities for dim sum. Portions are large and everything was flavorful and delicious. It gets busy and it's not cheap, spent about $100 for 2 people. They charge a 4% credit card fee and automatic 15% gratuity. Service is fast and friendly.

It's been a while since my last review but just dropping by again to say this is amazing food and this will always be one of my favorite restaurants

Excellent place for dim sum AND dinner! Authentic Chinese food that fills the soul. Servers are excellent. Carted dim sum screams fresh from the stove/oven/grill. Large dining room with well lit natural lighting and warm candescent lighting at night. A requirement every time we visit Minnesota!

The best dim sum in the Twin Cities! The line does start around 9 am, so recommend getting there before the 9:30 opening time if you have a large party. They have a large variety of dishes available on the dim sum carts, and the servers do a good job making sure you can get the items you're looking for if you ask. If you've never been to dim sum, just be aware that it will feel a little chaotic the first time with lots of carts running around and lots of people talking! My favorite dishes are the shrimp noodle, sesame balls, and turnip cake.

Dim sum might be my favorite way to spend a Saturday morning and Mandarin Kitchen is an excellent host for the occasion. There is a line at opening so come prepared but the staff are well prepared and organized to sit and serve everyone promptly. Dim sum can be a bit overwhelming if you're not familiar but lean into the chaos and you'll have a great time. Our strategy is to steer clear from the buns at first to not fill up too fast but you do you. The food itself isn't re-inventing the wheel but it is consistent and authentic. Personal favorites are the spicy peanut bun and the meatballs. Surprisingly, the star of this last visit was the egg rolls which we've always skipped before but they were excellent. Coming with a group allows for more experimentation and their lazy Susan tables are very accommodating. It does add up quickly though so be aware if you're on a budget. Overall, it's a casual, tasty, and different way to spend a weekend morning instead of heading to the familiar local diner.

LOVE this Authentic Chinese restaurant! My family often comes here for dinner as a large group and we love it when we're seated at one of the lazy susan round tables. It's not the most romantic or modern decor, but they make up for it in the quality and taste of their food. Dim Sum: if you come between 9:30am-2pm on the weekends, you can get Dim Sum service, where they stop at your table with a wide variety of ready-to-eat delicacies. It's so fun to just point at what you want to eat! You can still order from the regular menu at any time too. My Favorites include: Beef Chow Fun (wide noodles) Roast Duck Shrimp Siomai Steamed BBQ Pork Buns Baked Egg Custard

    Pan Fried Noodles with Seafood.

Mandarin Kitchen is hands down the best Hong Kong Cantonese style Chinese food in the Twin Cities. They have a huge variety of dishes on their menu, including fresh seafood from the fish tanks near the entrance. We had a party of 12, and they had no problem accommodating our group. It was so much fun to sit around a huge table with a lazy susan in the middle of the table to spin around and share all the dishes. The wait staff is kind and courteous, and more than willing to help you decide on what you'd like to eat. The food is always delicious and fresh, every time we go we're happy as can be. Give them a shot, you'll be happy you did!

This is the best Dim Sum place in twin cities. This restaurant is very authentic with a variety of options. The food tastes fresh and yum! The service is amazing! There always are a lot of waiters and waitresses to serve you and explain the dishes to you. They have a lot of tables and their space is huge, but they are always so busy. If you want to get the food right away when they open, you need to get in line about half an hour early. Otherwise, parking lot is crazy and you have to wait for a long time. I wish their waiting system would be better.

    Do they take reservations?

Is it possible to order a bbq pork bun during the week or is it only a dim sum item?

Do they offer dim sum on Saturdays or is it only Sunday?

    Both sat and sun.

Are they doing take out during these lockdown order?

Sorry Emily, drove by to make sure and their doors are completely closed. Not even take out orders.

How much is a whole roast duck and 1 lb of crispy pork?

A half roast duck is $13.95 but menu prices subject to change. I'm not sure how much for the crispy pork.

Do they serve Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings)?

No they don't. But I think another dim sum place in town does serve that.

    Dim sum hours?

    0930h - 1400h, Saturday and Sunday

    Is everything made from scratch?

I think some. If you eat enough dim sum here in USA, u'll find that most of them look and taste the same. So, I think they source if from a common source and finalize the last step in preparation. But some dishes, I think they make it themselves.

Do they serve dim sum on weekdays?

    Only on weekends and holidays...

By far, our favorite was the pork bone broth, which is the house specialty. And then, if your hot pot broth is not to your liking, you can alter it using the sauce and seasoning bar. We also got the Szechuan peppercorn and the wild mushroom broth, all three were good. The Szechuan peppercorn was a bit of a one trick pony, but if you cooked it in pork broth and then dipped it in Szechuan peppercorn broth oh, it was delicious.. Anything and everything you'd want to put in your hot pot is available and you could just go get it for yourself. I really like this element because there are things I don't want in my hot pot and there's things I want doubly in my hot pot., and with this model, I can select whatever I want. You can also get all you can eat off the menu as well, for dim sum and grilled items, but honestly, we couldn't eat very much of those. We were very full from hot pot. I highly recommend spending the three dollars for the all you can drink tea and lemonade. It was also to die for. I don't usually drink sugar drinks, but I made an exception today and I am not sorry. I also wanna give a shout out to the staff who were incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you, Abigail and the guy whose name I didn't catch..

If you like sweet and sour chicken, this dish is for you. Chicken mushroom noodle soup was a little bland. But I was sick, and this was filling, warm and heartfelt. Chili oil was also tasty and you can tell it's made in house. But, if you are a vegetarian or don't eat a lot of meat, your options are very limited. The noodles were excellent just the right consistency that you get out of hand-pulled noodles. The restaurant was overall very quiet and laid back. With pretty artwork and a nice vibe. The window where you can see them making the noodles was a really nice touch. The eggrolls are made with chicken and they are crispy. Served with fish sauce which is spiced up and good as well. The wontons are bite size & come with a gingery sweet & sour sauce - also good. I had been craving the eggrolls so I decided to check out the actual restaurant. They have limited hours and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. They do have a decent size parking lot just on the side of the parking lot (do not park on the side Quangs is on), also street parking but most of it is limited duration wise (15min-1hr). The restaurant is cute decor wise. They have koi fish in a fish tank in the main dining room. We ordered eggrolls, wontons, chicken fried rice & the Double Dragon Punch for a drink. The eggrolls were good but for some reason I feel like they tasted better at the farmers market, I do wish they would give separate sauce cups for dipping when it's multiple people. The wontons were also good. I didn't care for the rice at all. It was pretty bland and the chicken in the rice wasn't good flavor wise, had to pick it out. The drink was also just okay- probably wouldn't order it again. I was kind of expecting it to be similar to a "wondrous punch" but it wasn't. It was smooth though & loved the garnishes & decorations on it. The staff were nice and welcoming. It wasn't too busy. It was happy hour and they had a few specials- we didn't partake but they do have it. I will definitely be visiting the stand at the farmers market again to support!!
