Large amounts of delicious food. Service is always quick and polite. They do an incredible takeout business also.

As a big fan of Chinese food, I wasn't expecting too much from this restaurant, but I was…read morecompletely wrong... You can tell by the huge crowd outside that this was a good restaurant. Despite the crowd, the staff were absolutely amazing. They handled our order patiently and although there were so many people, it only took around 20 minutes for the dishes to arrive. It was very noisy in here, but that was my only complaint. House special chicken, duck, house special soy duck: (9/10) so gooooooood! The skin+meat were really good and it was so saucy and flavorful. Each meat had their own unique taste. Green beans: (11/10) absolute perfection. The green beans had the perfect crunch and were sautéed very well. PLEASE GET THIS!!!!!! House special beef: (10/10) This has got to be the best beef dish I've ever had. So tender and juicy. It's also very succulent and the sugar snap peas were a great addition! Almost melted in my mouth! Clam: (8/10) my mom's favorite dish there! Not too salty or pungent, savory, basily taste, light, and delicious! Fried tofu: (9/10) I really liked the tofu. The batter was really good and the sauce made the dish even better! Snow pea leaves sautéed in garlic: (10/10) VERY GOOD! Great vegetable choice! Fresh and saucy. Shrimp and scrambled eggs: (8/10) eggs were light and fluffy. I thought the shrimp was pretty decent but the eggs made it even better! Overall, I thought this Chinese restaurant stood out from the rest. It was a game changer and I will for sure be coming back whenever I'm in the area!

Food is always fresh, delicious, comes out piping hot and fast!…read more There's a reason why this place gets so busy, the service is awesome, quick, friendly, and straight to the point. It's a small shop with about 10-12 tables, but very warm and cozy. They also do party platters. So in case you're in a pinch, they'll get your orders to you with a quickness!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Tasty Malatang Chinese Cuisine was…read moredisappointing because of the customer service. According to the restaurant's posted hours, they close at 10:00 PM. My family and I arrived around 9:15 PM, expecting that we still had enough time to order dinner. As soon as we walked in, the server immediately told us they were already closed. My mother politely pointed out that the posted closing time was 10:00 PM and simply asked if the kitchen happened to close earlier than the dining room. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, the server responded in a very rude tone: "Well, you guys can eat and order, but at 10:00 PM you need to be gone and out the door." Another employee then stepped in to back him up, making the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. I completely understand how the restaurant business works. I've been around the industry long enough to know that kitchens often stop taking orders before closing or that staff are trying to finish cleaning at the end of the night. If they had simply said, "We're sorry, but our kitchen is already closed," or even, "We can still serve you, but we're finishing up for the night," we would have completely understood. There was no reason to speak to us disrespectfully. What made this experience frustrating is that we never came in with an attitude or demanded special treatment. We were polite from the moment we walked through the door. We simply asked a reasonable question based on the restaurant's posted business hours, and instead of receiving a courteous explanation, we were met with unnecessary hostility. Customer service is just as important as the food. A welcoming attitude can make guests want to return, while a rude interaction can overshadow everything else. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won't be returning. I also would not feel comfortable bringing my family or recommending this restaurant to friends because everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect. I hope management takes this review as constructive feedback and reminds their staff that even when it's close to closing time, a little kindness and professionalism go a long way.

Excellent food and great service!…read more My family has been coming here for a several years now and every time it has been spectacular. We love getting the sticky rice, steamed buns, and basically any noodle dish! Service is always great and the hostesses are always very friendly. Last time we came here it was Sunday and it was very busy. We were seated right away and had no problem ordering food for the table. The food came quick and the dim sum was fresh and hot! Overall experience was 10/10 we will be coming back

Dumplings were a little too thick for my preferences. Then some other skins would fall apart because of being over steamed. Maybe this was an issue of being here at end of day? Service and ambiance is old school as it reminds me of dim sum in the 90s, except there are limited selections that they push around in carts (mainly dessert). You have to order most things off the menu. Don't be shocked if servers ask gruffly "what do you want?" and if they just quickly drop dishes off at the table. This experience is more about enjoying your company than your service. They also have a pretty comprehensive menu of Chinese/cantonese options. What stood out here are their "house special" crabs and lobsters, but we didn't get those this visit.

The $19.99 AYCE on social media is deceiving…read more I took my mom here so we could try this new AYCE option this place was offering based on social media influencers. It was empty coming in around 5:30pm on a Friday, but it soon filled to capacity in the next hour. So coming into it, we thought we would choose between Menu A and Menu B. Afterwards, we thought it was AYCE on the menu of your choice + the side buffet where there are limited selections of sides and refrigerated drinks. We ordered orange chicken, Chinese style fish and something else. Again, this was on the thought that we could order more than one item on our selected menu. So imagine our surprise when the bill was nearly $100 for two people? It was a misunderstanding. However, the initial staff gentlemen was completely rude about it and ignored us as we sought to understand. Finally, a second female server came and heard our concerns regarding the false advertisement and unclear messaging. She was able to provide us the price we thought this was for based on Menu selection. All in all - I don't recommend the AYCE option. I think it would be important to make a distinction that AYCE clearly on the menu and at the front - AYCE means each individual selects ONE entree (which is a one small portion) and the AYCE component of the deal is ONLY for the side buffet.

I live in Chula Vista so when they opened this location in Chula Vista I got excited, prices are a bit higher here due to different city & it ain't the same staff but the staff here is still very good. That's why it's always busy with Tio's & Tia's & the raza eating here & the owner is real nice & friendly he's in both locations. Best Pollo Cantonese & Duck Soup (no bones) is here hands down! I had the chance to check it out at the physical restaurant and it's better than what I remembered. The salt and pepper chicken wings had a nice crisp to it and was seasoned very well, garnished with green onions, and cooked with red pepper flakes for a slightly spicy but savory juicy wing. The eggplant dish, which I forgot the actual menu name was fried crispy, had a sweet crunch to it in a savory sauce that honestly was life changing. I've never had eggplant cooked this way before but it's something I'd want to get every single time. The green beans with pork was stir fried well with a generous amount of pork for a well balanced dish of soft yet firm veggies and savory protein. The honey walnut shrimp was coated and fried to perfection and kept its crunch as the meal winded down after an hour. The sauce was a perfect blend of sweet richness, but didn't take away from the quality of the shrimp. The restaurant itself was pleasant and seated my party of 7. 6/5 stars if I could.
