We had this bad leak from planter outside, which we hired another contractor 4 years ago. I was hoping the leak was gone but obviously it wasn't or already worn out. This has been killing us for years and I really want to be done with it. First I searched yelp, internet, called several places but I couldn't find anybody who is promising or they don't know what to do with it. So we asked a trusted designer to recommend somebody who can fix this issue, and the designer recommended him. Frank is the best contractor I ever worked with, very responsible and responsive. The result of his work is beautiful and sturdy, and the price is very reasonable! We are super happy with the results and I am glad that I can finally install the bathroom tiles! I am already talking to him about several other projects!! read more

It's not easy find a contractor that you can trust to do timely and quality work. We are so happy that we have found that contractor with Frank Mancini. His team did some work to replace our fireplaces a few years ago and we were so impressed by his commitment to do the work that finished on time and came out perfectly. I remembered him when we recently had a leak that caused extensive damage to our bathroom ceiling and called him again. Frank gave me a quote and timeline that he met, making the bathroom look brand new, as if nothing had happened. An added bonus is that he is also a pleasure to work with -- professional and friendly. We're now planning an extensive remodel of our entire condo: kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, etc... and will definitely be calling Frank Mancini for this project. read more

My wall next to the shower appeared to have some water damage. I called Frank to take a look and he was responded immediately. We set up a time for him to assess the damage. The 2nd time he came was when he made the repair. He found the cause of the leak and resolved the issue. Frank was in constant communication with me throughout the process which was great. I will be contacting Frank again for future work to my apartment unit. read more

Update: On May 14, 2021 LA county small claims court awarded a judgment in my favor. Frank Mancini is ordered to pay $10,000 plus court fees. See photo. Note the date on the judgement is within days of recent positive "reviews". Frank farms for reviews to bury the negative ones. Other Frank fun facts: He filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy days before the May 14 court hearing. This makes it more difficult to collect payment on the judgement. The fact that he did it BEFORE the actual trial suggests two things: 1) he knows he is at fault and 2) he has been in this situation before. Indeed, I learned from Western National Mutual, his former insurance bond company, that his entire $15,000 bond has already been exhausted from a previous lawsuit in 2020. See LA County Court Case #19STLC098728. The next step is now to collect the judgement from Frank. One thing Frank is good at: evading accountability. If you have suffered losses due to Frank's workmanship, and you need help navigating the byzantine small claims court and CSLB complaint system, please send me a private message on Yelp and I'll be happy to offer some guidance. read more

Mancini Contracting has done several Jobs for me and all their work has been excellent. Frank the owner is someone who puts his heart as well as his skill into his work. It is rare to find a contractor who takes such pride in the jobs he performs and will bend over backwards to make sure the client is happy, but Frank does. He has repaired rain damage, repaired and re stained wood floors, replaced shower doors, windows and more. Not much they can't do. An honest and skilled contractor. read more

Looking for a full bathroom reno for 2 separate ones, got about 6 other quotes before I found Frank. Fair price, top notch job, and worked through all the unforeseen, like some termite damage when we pulled off the old tile. Always something with Reno but felt in good hands with Frank and Martin! Martin really did an amazing job on the rain shower, nook, and tile. We bought some 12x24 sheets he cut down for the shower floor as well and angled a perfect drain. Couldn't be happier with his work and the process. read more

Finally a contractor you can trust and rely on! I hired Frank to do some drywall patch work and tile installation on my rental. As a person who usually babysits contractors, I was a little nervous at first because I would be "supervising" this project from afar. I had to trust Frank completely - from letting himself into the unit through completing the work on time, without anyone present on the job. Frank did not disappoint. He communicated with me the entire time, was very responsive with calls, text, and emails, and even took the initiative of selecting tile samples instead of relying on me to provide them. He even let me know when he was pulled away to an emergency project and would be back to finish the next day. Considering no one was there to supervise him, he didn't have to do that and no one would have ever known. I was so impressed by his integrity. I'm so used to having to track down previously hired contractors, Frank was a breath of fresh air. The unit also had a jammed doorknob and Frank unjammed it at the first meeting as a courtesy. When it became jammed again, Frank installed a doorknob I provided on the house! I felt his pricing was fair and he really showed he valued me as a client. read more

Frank is honest and what you see is what you get kind of contractor. It is nice to work with a contractor where the price they quote is the price you will pay. From experience, this is worth paying a little more for the peace of mind. Frank completed our full kitchen remodel and redesigned our home's layout to make it a lot more functional and made sure we were happy with the work. I would definitely work with Frank again on other projects. Thank you! read more

I have to say Mr. Mancini reached out right away for a request for a large business project i have. He was very friendly, open to help address some of my concerns, open to answer my questions and was honest. I really appreciate that he was open and honest, that due to other projects he was not able to meet my project deadline. It's hard to find a contractor that won't over promise. It's good to know good small businesses are out there to help people! Thank you for all of your help Mr. Mancini! read more

Frank is a joy to work with. We built an ADU with him in 2021, and as relatively new homeowners and first-time builders we were nervous about finding the right contractor. As it turns out, Frank was the perfect fit. He was a true partner to us throughout the process, making design suggestions, helping us navigate the permitting and endless inspections, and working incredibly hard to ensure that the final product was exactly what we wanted. His work ethic is truly out of this world, and he takes personal responsibility for all the work that's done by his subs. Truly, there were times he was on our project well past dark troubleshooting issues that any other contractor would surely have written off as someone else's problem. He's also incredibly honest - the price he gave us upfront was very fair and he never charged us extra for anything. We are so glad we met Frank, and we feel lucky to now call him a friend. We even recommended him to some of our neighbors and I think soon our whole little street will have matching ADUs built by him. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about our experience. read more

Frank helped us with our kitchen repair after water damage from upstairs neighbors. Frank was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were happy with the job. I would absolutely recommend Frank and will use his services again for future jobs. read more

A contractor that communicates! Hallelujah!!! Frank was extremely professional and kind. Came out to look at a large and extensive window reframing job that 3 other contractors said they didn't want to deal with. His price was very fair and him and his crew delivered top quality work. We hired him to then fix our fence as well, and the neighbor was so impressed he ended up hiring Frank for a bunch of things as well. Nice to have a local guy who works hard, has great experience and doesn't gouge customers. Absolutely 5 stars! read more

Our ceilings came out great! The asbestos abatement people left gouges in the ceiling drywall throughout our townhome, and the painters refused to paint until someone plastered, skim coated and sanded the ceilings first. What to do? Here comes Frank Mancini, a big guy with a ready smile, to the rescue! His crew, (working under a very skilled fellow named Rudy), did an outstanding job. In only four days they left us with beautifully, glass smooth ceilings, paint ready. The price was a bit high, though, and the surprises you always find in any job were ala carted on top -- a small drywall cut out and patch, really. Frank might have exceeded my expectations by covering that petty cost, but OK. I appreciated his ability to start on short notice and to get the work done quickly. Altogether, quality work. Glad to recommend. read more

Frank is possibly one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. His gave me a very reasonable estimate for drywall repair, insulation and paint and his guys showed up on time and were always courteous. They did an excellent job and I can't even tell there was any damage to those areas to begin with. Whenever I had any questions Frank was extremely honest and always went the extra mile to fix any issue and to make sure I was satisfied with all of the work. He even accommodated my work schedule and made house calls in the evening. I'm so grateful I found him on yelp! You won't be disappointed with his work and customer service. read more

I've worked with several contractors before, but I'm taking the time to write a review about Frank. He helped me with a bathroom remodel, and I am very pleased with the work, communication, and final cost. Most contractors throw you aside when they're busy (and they are all very busy right now), but Frank always returned my calls and answered my question through the process. His team is very experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. He's not the cheapest guy out there, but the quality of the product is top-notch. At the end of the day, we all want a quality job done right for something that will last a decade or more. read more

Frank remodeled my bathroom and did a fantastic job. For the remodel, he had to remove a bunch of shelves with my things in it, but he put everything back the way it was, down to the last bottle of shampoo -- that was much appreciated. He was great to work with and just a cool dude in general. read more

My husband and I had the opportunity to work with Frank twice and we could not have been happier with him and his team! We were introduced to him through another condo owner in our current building who has worked with Frank for many years. Most recently, we experienced a leak from a unit above our rental unit which required us to replace a portion of our kitchen ceiling, areas behind the fridge and stove. Frank was very communicative and always helpful. What I appreciated most about Frank is that he is a true straight shooter. He came for our initial consultation and let us know exactly what we should expect in terms of cost and scope. Upon completion of the project there were no surprises which I do not think is always common among contracting work. His team also finished the project in the time frame that was discussed which is also VERY rare. Overall, I would 100% recommend Frank. He is friendly, honest, and hardworking. He certainly is our contractor of choice for any of our projects on a move forward basis! Highly recommend 5+ stars read more

I recommend Frank Mancini and Mancini Contracting. He did some bid work for me on a total home remodel, and did many iterations of the bid, all very competitively priced, very thorough, and honest. I didn't end up using him for a totally unrelated reason (my designer's contractor became available), but I would have used him, and would use him again. He so impressed my designer (who flips houses) that he's going to use Frank on future work. Frank just wants to deliver and make the customer happy. While some contractors try to maximize their profit margins, and others try to get as many jobs as they can, Frank's goal is making the customer happy, and he's very good at that. I look forward to working with him on another project, and recommend him highly. read more

Frank has been my go to person on many projects including rebuilding a bathroom (floor / titles / ceiling) when my condo roof leaked, retitled a fireplace, rebuilt a fence, painted and fixed cracks in the ceiling, installed ceiling fans and new floors. They took a difficult job and did it beautifully. At first I couldn't find a contractor to install a new counter onto an existing one - apparently it was too tricky. But Frank took on the challenge and did an amazing job at a fair price. Would recommend. read more

Words can not express how happy we are with Frank's work. He immediately provided us with cost estimate to repair our patio which was previously not repaired correctly by another contractor. AVOID this contractor! Frank is the worst contractor I have ever encountered. We've worked with many contractors in the LA area and none are as categorically awful as Frank. He has a great, rehearsed "sales pitch" up front and appears all friendly and folksy at first, but once he got our money he became difficult to reach and constantly argumentative. The project was delayed by months; he blames the City, he blames the engineer, he blames the inspectors (each and every one of them) for being unfair and wrong. He claims an inspector never called him on a day when Frank missed an inspection, causing us even further delays. When other licensed general contractors told us that Frank's work was improper, he says they are all wrong: every time. He blames the people who work for him (who, by the way were all subcontractors). Frank blames everyone except himself. Frank would be especially nice sometimes, and then ask for early payment progress MONEY. As soon as he got the progress payment MONEY, the next day he would become unavailable to continue work for days or weeks. In my opinion, he is unreliable and dishonest. He gets agitated very easily and began to argue with us over everything; he became extremely aggressive and posturing. He behaved immaturely, even sending petty and repetitive text messages. I really feel that he would benefit from some anger management therapy. On our project, he seemed to use the cheapest materials possible, despite what's in the contract. We still have problems on a project that was supposed to be finished 6 months ago--AND disputes over the materials used. We have no choice but to file a complaint with the California Contractor's State Licensing Board and pursue these matters in court. read more

Frank Mancini has become my go-to guy for jobs in my home, as my previous experiences with him and his company were so good. He is reliable, trustworthy and reasonable, and his workers do an excellent job. Customer satisfaction seems their number one concern. This shows not only in the quality of their work but also in good communication (Frank always keeps you posted so you know what is going on), willingness to work out any issues that may occur, and respect for you and your home. They demonstrated all of the above while restoring a huge hole in my kitchen ceiling and replacing my bathtub faucet, including re-doing the plumbing. As Mancini Contracting's first Yelp reviewer in 2015, I continue to recommend them. read more

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to place credit where credit is due. We recently underwent a full bathroom remodel and Frank was the contractor in charge. Frank's work was precise and professional. As with most remodels, unexpected issues are routine and Frank always had a solution which he would discuss with us and give options. He always would ask if we were satisfied and if we wanted a little something extra done he did it without a problem. His communication skills are excellent and he always left the site immaculate. I highly recommend Mancini Contracting for jobs small and large. read more

Frank and his team did an amazing job! This was our first construction project and he walked us through the entire process, and did extra work to make sure everything went smoothly. He was great at communicating where we were in our process and timeline. Also, since we were living in our home during the construction, he made sure the site was clean and livable, which we greatly appreciated. At the end of the project, he said that anything we were dissatisfied with, he'd always come back and fix. Frank was professional, kind and did great work. I was referred to Frank Mancini, while trying to help out a 90 year old real estate client of mine. My client had just had a horrible experience with a handyman who mis-represented that he was a contractor and bilked my client out of thousands of dollars! Frank Mancini saved the day truly. He stepped into the middle of a mess and was able to determine exactly what still needed to be done or re-done, and provided my client with a very reasonable bid to complete the project. To make matters worse, my client had building inspectors breathing down his neck and Frank was able to get everything done in 2 short weeks. Then... Frank was stood up 4 times (unbelievable) by the LA City building inspectors. He maintained his calm patience and never gave up! 5th time was a charm and the project got signed off with no violations or changes. My client and I are so grateful for his high quality workmanship, showing up and on time when he said he would be there, and sticking with it to deal with the difficult city inspectors. I would absolutely recommend him to other and have already referred him to another client who has hired him to do a project. Not many people still like their contractors after a job but I and my client love Frank. My client even tipped Frank he was so happy! read more
