I was referred to these folks by my real estate agent who knew I was experiencing chronic back pain as well as breathing issues. This is such a great concept to not worry about taking art work/photos/TV/mirrors off the walls, packing/moving and then unpacking yet again trying to figure where everything belongs in it's new home. Margie and Karin were absolute angels in helping me move from one place to another. Everything was packed securely and carefully with lots of packing material and placed in appropriate boxes. They were working so hard that I insisted they take a break as watching them made my back hurt; I was feeling sympathy pain. Margie also helped guide the furniture movers of what to pack and where to move it in the new residence. This gave me time to give my dogs a good walk and an errand. The movers they hired were excellent as well. They carefully covered all of my hardwood floors with protective floor material so that the floors were not damaged. They also found a loose arm on one of the captain's dining chair and tightened it for me. What service! I *highly* recommend that you hire Managing Moves for your moving needs. It truly saves a lot of time and most of all, saved my back and relieved any possible exertion on my compromised lungs. I have twice used Cindi's services to move from my home to an assisted living facility, which subsequently closed, so then used her again to move to another place. The services she and her staff offered in downsizing my home, making those hard decisions about what to keep, what to get rid of are hard, yet we did it! I've been a client of Managing Moves & More since April 2015 when my parents moved from their home of 35 years to an assisted living apartment. Cindy, Katie, and the crew did a great job efficiently identifying & packing which items should go to the apartment. Considering my mother's dementia diagnosis, the crew worked around my mother's schedule, out-of-sight, so as not to upset her. They did a great job helping clear out my mother's apartment after her passing. I used Managing Moves upon the recommendation of the facility where my mother was living. I turned to Managing Moves because the pandemic had locked down my mother's facility and I had no way of clearing out the apartment. HOWEVER, when I asked for Managing Moves to dispose of my mother's belongings, I later learned that they gave some of the belongings to the facility. Managing Moves corrected the issue, but the incident left me wondering what they really do - perhaps keep it for their own benefit?? Katie just finished moving my mom from her home of 40 years into The Terraces (in Los Gatos), and I truly could not have done it without her help. My 82 year old mother had to make a lot of choices since she was moving into a smaller space, and Katie was terrific at working with my mom to figure that out. Cindy managed a move for my parents several months ago. They moved out of their home of 50 years plus and into an assisted living facility. They then co-ordinated with the storage team to put everything in storage until the house is sold and we move into our new house. If I could add 95 more stars to make an even 100, I would do it. Cindy and her team helped us move out of our home of 44 years to a new dream location. I had thought I was really organized but with just a little over a week to go, I found I still had a lot to do. As I was about to panic, my East Coast daughter found MM&M online for me. The team was terrific and Tenley not only managed our move, but managed my husband in going through years and years of his stuff, and I didn't have to do that!
