She didn't reveal any hint of annoyance if we had trouble making a decision on whether to keep, store, donate, or trash things. She helped develop realistic systems that we will be able to maintain well enough to key the house in order. We will likely hire her for a couple of other areas in the house. Monica's services are an investment, but they are worth it if you can afford it!

    We won four hours of organizing services from Lisa at The Time Butler at a charity auction…read more We put off calling Lisa for a few months, but we eventually got around to making the appointment for a two-hour visit. I stalled by giving her a tour of the house, which took up most of the time, but she did "encourage" us to clear off the kitchen table -- we filled up a couple of bags of paper during that exercise. She returned a couple of weeks later, and we used up the other donated hours. On that visit, we cleared out the media shelves in the family room, uncovered the coffee table, and rediscovered the desk. We also filled up several bags of stuff (books, VHS tapes, magazines, toys, and who knows what else) which were suitable for charitable donations -- and Lisa took it all away. She's been back twice since then, helping us deal with the shelves and desk in the kitchen, all of which are organized, clear, and usable for the first time in a long time. And again, we donated a bunch of stuff to charity (as well as filling a recycle bin!). In between visits, I got rid of some excess hardware by putting it on craigslist (most of it sold within an hour); I've also started transferring old VHS tapes to DVD (though why I needed a DVD version of King Dinosaur is a matter of some debate with the rest of the members of the household). There's no magic to it -- we're doing all the work (well, she wields the labelmaker...) and making all the decisions. But she acts as a forcing function -- when she hands us a pile to go through, it seems silly to just put it back where it was (though "later" is always a valid decision -- and I've deferred some things by moving them to a room we haven't reached yet). I'm happy we won her services, and happier that I finally got around to calling and making the appointment!

    I've been working with Paula for several years now as a vendor. My company provides HVAC-related…read moreservices, and Paula had contracted us several times throughout the years. I'm usually not a big fan of working with a "middle-man," and far as home repair/improvement vendors go. In fact, it's safe to say that most of my colleagues aren't fans of that type of practice as well, as it often leads to communication bottlenecks, billing issues, and loss of productivity. None of that sort of stuff has EVER been an issue working for Paula. She is one of the most responsive, punctual, humble, and kind coordinators/organizers I had ever worked with. Paula is one of those individuals that make you want to go the extra mile rather than the other way around, which unfortunately is often the case. Being in the home-improvement industry for a couple of decades, I can't state how important it is for a professional coordinator/organizer to have such qualities, as skilled contractors are hard to come by. Egos come in "big-gulp" sizes in our industry, and it doesn't take much to hurt a skilled contractor's feelings, only never to get a client's phone calls answered next time they need service, especially when demand for skilled labor is plentiful, and supply is low. Sad, but true for the Bay Area. Although I never hired Paula as an organizer, I would highly recommend her services to those in the market for one if setting/coordinating home improvement projects is a part of the job description.

We were too overwhelmed by the extraordinary mess to know where to begin cleaning, so it just got worse. For the contest's grand prize, Paula came to our house (at times that were convenient for us) and spent two 3-hour sessions working with my daughter. Together, they worked their way through my daughter's entire room - eventually donating 3 large bags of clothes and throwing away another three garbage bags of junk. Paula worked to understand my daughter's habits and lifestyle, then recommended ways to store her clothes and other items so that the most used items were most easily accessible, items that usually fell to the floor had a better home, and everything had a place. All of Paula's suggestions were maintainable, and 2 months later, my daughter's room remains (mostly) neat. Paula was a pleasure with whom to work -- she was friendly and professional. I highly recommend Paula to help you get organized.

I wanted my wife and I to digest what really happened. I wanted to determine if the ladies of "Organized Life" really did what I paid them to do. First, let me preface by saying if you are a horder, you may have a difficult time with their service. They are not there to go through every piece of garbage you may find valuable and also be your therapist. That would take FOREVER, and this isn't a reality TV show. However, what it is, is a superb service. If you have found yourself living comfortably numb, and have just accumulated STUFF over the years and realize one day that it is time to make a change. They are the crew to help you purge and organize. Molly, Marie and the 3rd girl's name eludes me. For that I sincerely apologize because she was no less outstanding. These young ladies came in, assessed and got busy. We hired them to clear and organize our garage that we used as a storage for years. Stuff we had not touched in 15 years. Some new, but most old. One of the best things I think that this crew possesses is the ability to relate to the homeowner in such a way that the homeowner is not feeling trampled upon, BUT at the same time respectfully probing and prodding to move the process of purging along. Nobody wants to get rid of things they find value in, but if you haven't touched the stuff in several years, what are you really doing? Our reason to hire these ladies was two fold. 1st, we want to prepare to buy another house and move. 2nd, we have gotten older and our bodies physically don't hold up to continously, non stop physical labor as they once did. Needless to say, these ladies had our garage cleared out in about 1.5hrs...maybe an hour and twenty minutes and ready for my wife and I to sift and sort. The sifting and sorting is ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY what takes the longest in the entire process. I can honestly say these girls did in a day what would have probably taken months for my wife and I to finish ourselves...if at all. These girls NAILED IT! They strategized, improvised, and organized. There has been a weight lifted!

    Worth. Every. Penny…read more I was completely overwhelmed with my bedroom/bathroom/closet. Between working and school full time, combining two homes, and kids coming home from college I couldn't catch up. When I would try to organize and put things away I wouldn't know where to start. These wonderful ladies came in and lifted so much stress off my shoulders. Everything has its place, they found things I forgot I had and purged what I didn't need. They worked their butts off and I couldn't be more thankful. Totally non-judgmental and so sweet. I highly recommend!!
