We saw cushions placed in opposite directions to try and hide the rips. Everything was really feminine, lots of pillows and throws, in cream and white colors, targeted to a single Caucasian woman in her early 30s. There was nothing to speak to males who are also potential buyers or other cultures that are very prevalent in our area and also buy homes. They would not accommodate our request for having some different sized beds for the different sized rooms or even making one room a kids room. All they had and were going to provide were queen beds. They left dents in the house door and window frame, paint chipping, lots of marks in all the rooms on walls, doors, cabinets and stairs, scratches on the floor, and black patches on the carpet, particularly when they were removing all the staging items.  And we had a full interior paint job done and all new flooring and carpet. They were beyond careless and even the new homeowners commented on needing to get the carpet cleaned due to the marks from the staging removal. The person they had doing the touchups was incompetent. He used the wrong sheen of paint and put way too much paint on rather than just a dab where the nails actually were for all the "paintings" they hung everywhere. It was so noticeable. And this staging company chose the paint colors  for the interior so there is no excuse for using the wrong paint. We had to have them come back to fix more as every room had very visible issues caused by the careless people they employed. We gave them a pristine house and they left us with anything but.  This cost us close to $9,000, and they caused damage to what was just fully redone (painting, floor, carpet) that we also spent a ton of money on and time to work with the real estate agent and service providers to ensure everything was done thoroughly and well before the staging company arrived.  There was also nothing personable about the ladies when they came to measure the rooms. They could not be bothered to talk with us or involve us in the process. Maybe this is the norm for staging companies but selling our house is a huge deal for us and very costly to prepare it for selling and we don't want or deserve to be treated just as a transaction.
