We are frequently hiking and camping in the eastern Sierra, which means a lot of dirty laundry! We are up in the mammoth area with a suitcase for the dirty clothes and decided to give this laundromat a try. The yelp reviews were spot on this place is awesome! It is huge has a nice clean and new Washers and dryers lots of places to sit and hang out while you're waiting for your laundry. Most of all it is clean that is the most important thing to me when I am visiting a laundromat. There are other places in Bishop, but they're not as nice as this so I would highly recommend Stopping by the Mann of Lakes laundromat for all your washing and drying needs. They also have drop off and pick up service so they can do your laundry for you if you'd rather not do it yourself. read more

Hotel/rental laundry is getting out of hand! Can't even get a normal size load of laundry in mid week after work. Normal working people in town have to shuffle around rental linens in the hopes of finding one available washer/dryer between all of the hotel linens. read more

First impression walking in- clean bright and clean. Facility is well maintained, no cups, dryer sheets or trash left on any counter arts were clean and shiny- plenty of room for folding. Was there in September of 'we and just two days ago on October 23rd. Both times the same but definitely busier in the late summer. I read the reviews and figured I didn't have a lot of options since I was only in town for a few days, it figures that I only saw a 24-hour option on the last day but oh well. Here's my experience. It was a little unclear which door was the right one to enter, I picked the farthest back. A lady greeted me and pointed to the old-school washer by the door as the only one available. I asked how much and she said I could use a card or pay cash later, so I chose later (I'm never really comfortable using swipes in laundromats), and agreed to the. 50 price for a scoop of powdered detergent. It wasn't premium clothing I was washing, just some stuff my kitty peed on after being cooped up all day traveling. I returned about 35-40 minutes later to retrieve my stuff, I just wanted to air-dry it all. One guy who works there doesn't speak English so look for the lady, he was trying to take the stuff to a dryer and I was grasping for the right words in Spanish. Anyhow, he finally understood my intentions and summoned the lady I first spoke with. Only $3 total, paid cash, and left. It appears they primarily wash sheets and towels for the condominiums in town, and by the looks of it, they value this nonstop source of income over periodic walk-in traffic. I respect that, but I suggest looking at the 24-hour place on Old Mammoth Road if you're looking to wash some clothes while on vacation. read more

Clean and new laundromat in a very convenient strip mall in Mammoth. They have these giant dryers that would fit all your large items like sleeping bags, tents, and comforters. There is free wifi and seating so you can get some work done on your laptop while waiting for your clothes to be ready. When I was there, there weren't any attendants, so if you have a question or issue you'd have to figure it out on your own. At the time I was there, the vending machine to get laundry detergent and dryer sheets was empty. I washed with just water and it was fine that way. Arrived around 10 a.m. on a Saturday in early August and had no problem getting a machine and dryer -- lots of washers, dryers and laundry carts. Credit card payment was smooth. Wifi was fine. Was grateful this place was available as there isn't one in June Lakes and the one in Bishop is not recommended. read more

Was clean and new and one of the best laundromats in the eastern Sierra. But like everything else people ruin it. Machines are now gross and damaged causing damage to clothing. It's always filled with hotel staff (? - maybe) taking up every machine. Machines are breaking down, always out of service or machines that don't take coins or cards without any indication of such. So it's like playing hot potato with your laundry. There is also no sink or paper towels in the place which is extremely rare and annoying for a laundromat not to provide a place or means to wash your hands of spilt soap. Or wipe down sticky, soapy surfaces. I went with 3 stars because despite all this it's still one of the nicer places to do laundry on the east side. Doesn't seem like it gets much upkeep though, so I do expect it to quickly become a zero star place in the not so distant future. Another annoying thing is they allow, what I assume to be hotel staff, to park in front of their stairs to unload their exorbitant amount of laundry. Which for them is great, less back breaking trips to the entrance. But it's problematic for everyone else trying to bring in or out their laundry...especially on a slippery day. There really should be a limit on the amount of loads housekeeping staff is allotted on a single day. To put the majority of machines in use at a single time is problematic to every other client. Or maybe close to the public on those days so everyone gets a fair shot at their preferred machines. Not being able to utilize a larger machine puts a financial strain on everyone else. Not to mention their laundry sits for quite some time taking up that machine for longer than needed. read more

We had been out camping for a week when we used Mammoth Lakes Laundromat. I was please with the debit or coin insert for the machines. The washers and dryer were fantastic in cleaning and multiple setting for dryer as well. The laundromat was clean, had good lighting along with multiple folding areas. I had left 3 pairs of jeans behind and they were super helpful in helping me. This will be my go to laundromat when we are in the Mammoth Lakes area. read more

Long story short, the attendants here are nice and the laundromat is average, but the owner is terrible and will actively work to refuse refunds when the machines malfunction. Here's the full story: I went here to do a large load of laundry, so I chose one of the "4 load" machines at a cost of $8. I followed the instructions to load the machine and swiped my card, which was approved. The machine was not starting so after about a minute an attendant came and opened the door, closed it again, and told me to wait. After still not starting, another attendant prompted me to swipe my card again, and she assured me that I would not be double charged after I asked if I would. The machine worked this time, but I checked my bank a few minutes later and found 2 pending charges for $5 each. They later cleared at $8 each, so I paid $16 for my laundry load. After looking at my banking app, I spoke to the attendant and asked them to void one of the charges, but they said they would have to call the owner first. The attendant called the owner, and I was told I would be given $2 back, since even though I was double charged the cost was supposed to be $8, and 2 $5 charges were pending on my account. After the attendant started counting out $2 in quarters from the tip jar I said no thank you and stated I would take up the matter with my bank instead. An attendant then handed me the phone with the owner on the line where he claimed that he didn't have the power to void the charge and that he would refund me $2, since there was a "technical error, and it's supposed to cost $8." I declined because the charge had not posted, and I expected both charges to clear for $8, which they did. I asked for the charge to be voided again, and he again refused and offered me $2. He then asked me if I'd ever used a washer before, if I'd ever used my card, and told me I did not understand the situation. After this I told him I would rather take up the matter with my bank and he became angry. He told me I was dishonest and accused me of just wanting free things. He was altogether rude and unprofessional. Long story short, I will not be patronizing this laundromat again. The attendants are nice and are helpful, but the owner is petty and actively refuses to correct mistakes to the point of belittling customers. I would rate zero stars if I could. read more

This place was a great find. My condo only has one washer and dryer for the entire community so I figured this would be easier. it is also right down the street. They have about 20 washers and 20 dryers. They have front loaders and regular top loader washers. The dryers are all hi speed. $2.50 for one load in the wash and .25 for 5 minutes in the dryer. It took about .75 to dry my clothes and I had a regular load size. They sell all the items needed to wash and dry your clothes in a vending machine if you forget to bring it. They also have a counter where you can drop your laundry off to the nice girls working there and they will do your laundry for you for a small fee. I believe they may even have dry cleaning services there too. This place was really busy and really clean. They had someone going around cleaning the machines after people were done. I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes which was not to shabby. read more

Traveling by RV means we get to do laundry in some small towns - sometimes even hard to find a spot. This one would have probably gotten 4 stars from me, maybe on a different day or time..... let me explain. The place was clean, easy to find, had good parking, and the machines were large and efficient. They didn't have wifi which would have been nice since I sit there for a couple of hours on laundry day. The reason it doesn't get 4 stars from me might have been the time of day - I always go right when a location opens. Does this place does commercial laundry, maybe for local hotels? lots of sheets and towels. So they had nearly every machine taken! I typically do all of my loads at the same time to save me time, but I had to wait here - not what I want. And maybe if it were a different day they don't do that. It was also very warm in the building, probably because of all the commercial loads going one after another - a bit uncomfortable. But it got the job done and we were back on the road again with fresh laundry! read more

Super new and clean machines (each machine takes coins AND card). Lots of options (1.5, 3, 4 load washers, etc). I highly recommend it has a smell to it but I mean it's the people's clothes not anything in the building. The two women who were working were very kind I highly recommend. I've been coming here for almost three years now and I've never had any issues (besides the time I stepped on a screw in the parking lot a year and half ago and had to go to the hospital to get a tetanus shot) until today. I use their machines to do my own laundry like many locals. Today it was empty except for a younger male employee. I started my washers and one of them have my an error message. This happens every few times I do laundry. Most likely due to the coin box being full. I let him know and he said he would start it for me, so I walked home like I normally do. Then came back to switch it to the dryer. Went home again and came back to pick it up and when I opened the door to the building, he was shutting my dryer. That kind of weirded me out. He said, "I was checking to see if it was dry" I said, "Okay..." And he replied with, "I thought it was another guy's. I didn't know it was yours. Sorry" I personally don't think it's okay to go through anyone's laundry unless they ask you to. I don't think "the other guy" would have liked him checking his laundry either. I totally don't believe his excuse. The employees, I'm sure are told not to touch people's laundry unless the machine has a tag, meaning full-service rather than self-service. I don't know what he was doing and I don't think I want to know. I chose to do my laundry there because the machines at my apartment complex take forever to dry my clothes and we don't have a quarter machine. Needless to say, I won't be going back the Mammoth Lakes Laundromat and I'll have to deal with paying a little extra to get my clothes dried at my complex and driving to a bank to get quarters. read more

Clean & functional. No frills place ~ meaning no TV, no wifi. Don't plan on going here and making it a social event. Go in, do your laundry at, what we consider, average price. It is part of a dry cleaning establishment and it feels s bit cramped. But then again, all I'm really needing is to have clean undies again. I understand that business is tough for all right now. We have come to this laundromat in the past with no issues. That said- we dropped off one large bag of clothing to be washed. We did not ask for 24 hour service. We were told we would get a call when it was ready. We waited two days. No call received. When we showed up to pick up our laundry, they charged us the 1-day rate of $44 (we never asked for 1-day rate and were never called) and handed us our bag of clothing. We happily paid and went back to our cabin. Upon opening the bag, the clothing was filthy. Not washed. Simply folded in the bag. Was obviously not laundered. Full of stains and dirt. We called and were told it was cleaned. I just came home and re-washed all of it. Came out perfectly clean. Not sure who is actually washing anything there. I'm scared for all of the vrbo clients linens they appeared to be washing. Sanitation is not their strong point. Be sure to check your laundry before you pay. Never going back. read more

Wonderful, no complaints! Took all of our comforters, shams, blankets, and throws from our condo. We didn't want to spend the time cleaning them ourselves when we had other chores to attend to. Mammoth Lakes Laundromat made my spring cleaning experience in Mammoth a breeze this past weekend. I was planning on spending hours at this laundromat, but was extremely pleased to know they offered same day service. The prices are obviously steeper than doing it myself and more so than if I gave them a day or two for turnaround. But this feature for owners coming up from LA is great. I will be talking my cleaning crew into taking our items here frequently with enough turnaround time to keep everything fresh and clean. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because not everything was folded well. I wasn't expecting duvets, duvet covers or decorative pillow cases to come back as if they had been pressed. But I expect a decent folding job for the duvet covers and pillow cases. Instead I got some really rough folds that created some really obvious creases which was unpleasant. I will be using this place moving forward. read more

Totally serviceable laundromat. As a bonus, there are employees there who are taking in laundry, dry cleaning, and seamstress work, who can help you out if you have any questions or problems. Open on weekends! Saved us when we had a sick baby at our cabin in Tom's place. They have top load and front load, with a huge range of sizes on the front load, from 1 to 6 load capacity for various prices. The pricing on the soap seems reasonable ($0.50 for a single-load box of Tide, fine in an emergency). I don't remember how many different sizes of dryers they had. Staff was polite and helpful. Parking is a little tricky - you have to leave the same driveway you come in, so don't try to head around back when you are leaving or you will be in for a tight three-point turnaround. read more

Dropped my laundry off at 9 am for wash and fold. I had 15 pounds and it cost $33and change. Was finished about 10 minutes past 4. Laundry was was clean but many items were folded inside out or just messy and had to be refolded. I've had better service from a laundromat but this worked for getting clothes clean. read more

Outstanding customer service! The facilities are decent enough to wash your clothes and fold. Part of a full service and dry cleaning establishment which, as another review stated, can make it feel cramped. Then again, washing clothes, not playing baseball or holding a social engagement.
