I went into ask about my package at the business center as I work at Vons & needed something I bought at Amazon before going to work. The owner Sam started basically telling me he hasn't gone through any packages & he was really unkind to me and raising his voice for no reason. He looked at me so unkind.. Now, if I treated someone at Vons this way I would be fired! Kindness goes a hell of along way especially since I got $25 just stolen from me after going to an AA mtg at noon. I'm not real thrilled with mammoth Lakes anymore. Truly sad that the world can be unkind. I get people get stressed out, I do get stressed myself. it's not what you say it's how you say it. Oh my goodness!! We showed up to this business with our 5 gallon bucket to be shipped off to our next destination but there was a little bit of an issue between websites. Google showed a closing time that was not reflective of the store's real closing time. And, (as a small business owner) I understand technology isn't always the greatest -- I understand just how difficult it is to match these things up. Sam was so incredibly helpful and made sure to do things in a manner that were correct for the mistake that Google made. Our food for the next part of our trip got shipped offed correctly and was made to be sure to arrive at our next destination in time. And, Sam was so helpful in making sure it happened (even though he hadn't had lunch all day and was literally crashing from his blood sugar deficiency!) Small place but has most of what you need and a great attitude. From the moment I entered, you could tell they were customer centric.

Useful, convenient. I have been here twice now this past month and only have praise for this business. First time needed notary service and overnight drop off. Bing! both done without major fanfare. This last time this week I only needed printing done so they hand me the business card stating to email the document to them and voila! they print and all good. I wish I could rate this business a zero. I've gone there for a number of years when I need printing services when I am in town. I always had good service with competitive prices. Today I needed a single copy from an email file, something I've done many times. Imagine my surprise when the cashier said the charge for a single sheet of paper was $2.11. She told me they charge $2 for printing it out and 0.11 for the paper. I print from email files while on the road all over Southern and Central California in small poor towns, affluent big cities, and everything in between at small mom-and-pops and large corporate print center. I've never been charged more than 0.15 a page. I truly despise companies that rip you off because they are the only game in town. Shame on them! read more

Be careful with UPS overnight deliveries here. I dropped a package off on Monday at 11:15AM. Two days later, Wednesday as of 2PM, UPS is stating "package given to UPS after cut off" and is currently in transit. Two days later it's in transit for overnight? I needed to notarize a set of documents and overnight that package for delivery, and realize there are very limited options locally. Overall this store seemed like a great solution and I verified the outbound cutoff timing and booked an appointment. Here is my beef: -I showed up early for my appointment and was asked by the clerk to return in an hour when the notary was available. Store was empty but ok ... -I come back an hour later and the same clerk morphed into the notary by moving four feet to their left. Ok sure. -a notary's job is to verify the proof of identity of the signer, sign the document, stamp their seal, and take the $15 for their blood/sweat/tears effort. I present four signature pages for notary and in LEGAL CAPS are the instructions to verify my identity and stamp the seal. -my notary turned into a Harvard Law School grad and required every exhaustive page of the documents to be provided - this is 100% not the custom and has no bearing on this stranger's ability to confirm identity. -I have to leave, print 25+ pages of dense legal documents, and return to the same J.D. candidate for review/signature fully realizing I've missed the daily cutoff by this hero's zero risk tolerance. Ugh. -after the documents are finally signed and notarized, I then have to verbally attest to the accuracy of these documents at which point I am happy to be wearing a mask during Covid. Overall the 1 star review is a bit harsh but it took me 3 trips to get the most basic job description completed and net resulted in me missing my deadline. I deserve some risk for putting myself in this position but #neveragain. read more

Zero stars would be more appropriate. Mammoth Business Essentials does not live up to their name and fail at the very basics of a service oriented business. The customer service is awful and the woman behind the counter complains constantly with comments like "we do our best". "we con only do so much". they refuse to call you when waiting for an urgent package and then get mad when you arrive complaining that she had not yet checked them in. Had my vehicle tabs sent there and they sent it back for no reason. If you just need a mail box maybe, but for anything requiring service you are likely to be disappointed by the rude, evasive, lack of business acumen at Mammoth Business Essentials. As a full time traveler and using personal mail box services wherever I travel, this is my worst ever encounter and service or lack thereof. read more

Love this place and love the people who work here. This is basically a UPS/FED EX store. They do all kinds of shipping and mail service. They have a small corner of the store with computers that you can use for a fee if you need to do some work or whatever. They have printers and fax machines available for use. I also needed to print something and they were very helpful. They suggested I just e mail it to them and they could print it out. Very easy! I actually had a thumb drive in my bag and brought it in. They just popped it in and printed out my page. The mail goes out early here. If you want it out that day, you need to drop it by 10:30 am or go to the Post Office. read more

I used these guys for two years for most of my shipping needs. They were also my resupply contact while I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail! So overall, everything went smoothly. Unlike the PO in town, they can receive packages from all carriers, and the 24-hour access is awesome. The only downside is the markup on USPS shipping. They can't tell you what it is exactly, but for one small parcel, the cost of Priority shipping was about twice what the PO charged. So I wouldn't use them to ship things cheaply. Other than that, renting a mailbox here worked well. Also, Craig (the owner) and Samantha were great people to work with - both very professional, and excellent communicators. read more

If I could I'd rate it a minus star. I went in to mail a package to be received by two days. At first, she said the days shipment had gone out and it would cost $38 to ship an item of clothing which I had in a plastic mailing bag. I said, "What"? $38? Then, I said no and went to grab my package. I had already asked her to give me an estimate prior to printing a label. Then, she said, "Wait, I can ship it for $18 to get there in two days. I had asked why that was half the price of the last quote and she just shrugged her shoulders. So, I opted for the $18. However, the package wasn't received in two days like she had told me. Then I ran a tracking on it and it said that it wasn't scheduled to be delivered until the fourth day. I got upset and called to find out why they would tell me it would get there by two days and had no intention of that. She said, "Well, that's on Fedex, not us". I asked her why she didn't tell her customer that it could possibly take two days if she wasn't sure it would get there in two days. Again, she blamed it on Fedex. I had recognized the voice and knew it was the gal that had waited on me. I said, I don't wish to do business with you anymore. She said, "Okay, that's great". I asked her why she would make a comment like that because it wasn't great. Are you trying to make yourself look good to someone at your business? Then, I asked if I could speak to a manager. All of a sudden, she says, I'm sorry I can't hear you, we must have a bad connection. At any rate, it was all games from the time she tried to cheat me out of $38 to the phone call. I will not EVER do business with them again. Well, aparently, I have to rate this to post it so I am forced to give it a star although I'd give it a minus if I could. read more

The manager was very hostile towards us there's no skateboarding sign out, and he came out and yelled at us and we don't see a "no skateboarding" sign. So we told them to get a "no skateboarding" sign. he said "no that's bullshit." and those are his exact words and we don't appreciate the way he treated us. We were skating in the parkinglot waiting for a pizza. so I think he should be fired because he's not very good manager obviously if he is going to be hostile like that. I needed to send a package overnight in an emergency situation. I explained to the clerk that I did not want a signature since no one would be home to sign during business hours. She then asked me if I wanted insurance which I got but with no signature. I was charged $91.10 for this small package and it did not arrive because the insurance triggered a signature for which I was never informed. I called Fed Ex and they stated that I should have been told about the signature and, since no one would be there to sign for subsequent deliveries, they returned the package. When I called the next day, Craig Hansen the manager/owner, berated me for calling Fed Ex, and said they should not have talked with me and basically accused me of lying. When I asked him why I would spend $91.50 for an overnight package that I knew would not arrive because no one would be there to sign he got angry and said he would return my money because they did not communicate with me but I never received a refund. When I called to find out when I could expect my refund, he said he was waiting to hear from Fed Ex and when I called again a week later, he would not speak to me. This happened three weeks ago. This business does not deserve your business since no customer should be treated with such disrespect and rudeness. read more
