I would give 0 stars if I could, just don't rent anything from these people. So these guys send us a message saying that we can't stay at a house we booked because of the recent stay at home order, understandable. On top of this, they want to charge me a $400+ cancellation fee for me being forced to cancel my reservation for reasons out of my control. I thought the whole point of the cancellation fee was to make up for someone who could've potentially rented the house when you rented it, but no ones able to rent the house anymore and they're still charging me a huge fee. Make that make sense. On top of all this, they sent me the message as late as possible, so the fee I pay is higher. These guys are true schemers and want to milk you out of your money with no remorse. Oh, and they're not responding to my messages or calling me back so they're a terrible, money scheming company all around. Edit: I ended up talking to Jesse on the phone about this matter and when I told him how ethically and morally wrong it is to do such a thing especially amidst a global pandemic, he got an attitude and was very disrespectful with his tonality. I was just trying to reason with the guy and he told me I'm lucky to have only been charged $400 as Airbnb's policy states that they can charge me the entire amount of the trip without me staying there at all and them cancelling on us. On top of this, Jesse says that a hundred people have accepted their terms and are fine with their policy making me sound like I'm the only person whose confused about this fee. I called Airbnb and waited for a representative and she was so confused as to where they got that policy from and Airbnb refunded me the full amount! Jesse admitted to scheming out about 100 people and then when I get refunded the full amount they blame Airbnb for being disorganized and unclear about their policy when it took me a 5-10 minute phone call to understand it. Again, I wish I could give lower stars as this company keeps on getting more pathetic and fraudulent. Tell everyone you know to not book from these guys at all costs. And the reason I got worked up to write all this is not only the fee and them deceiving me, it's knowing that they've deceived numerous people before me and will continue to do so after me, so I wrote all this in my best efforts to make sure innocent people aren't getting robbed by these guys. Funniest thing is how they cover it up and say it's a miscommunication or Airbnb's fault for being disorganized, they're not even man enough to apologize they just say sorry "you feel this way" lol. Most backhanded apology.

BEWARE of false advertising and deceptive business practices here to charge guests more than they agree to upon booking via VRBO. I did NOT book my late March reservation through Mammoth Five-Star Lodging but via VRBO, whose terms clearly stated that I could cancel at least 4 weeks in advance for a full refund. NO CANCELLATION FEE/PENALTY clause for cancellations made that far in advance. Yet, the day after my VRBO booking, I started receiving calls from THIS company, that there's one more step to complete my reservation - I need to sign an electronic contract they're emailing me. They called me numerous times to sign this contract. As soon as I had time to read it carefully, I found that they had snuck in a provision that I would pay $65 if I cancel my reservation EVEN before the 4-week-before-stay period. I called them pit on this over the phone, the man on the phone (Chris?) apologized and said yes, it's a provision that is absent on the VRBO booking terms and conditions, and that I could just cancel (not complete) my booking if I didn't agree to the $65 cancellation fee. So I canceled, whereupon I received an email from them confirming my cancellation and refund, LESS A $65 CANCELLATION FEE deduction!!! FRAUD!! Clearly, their misleading, thieving business practices need to be stopped immediately and continue to be reported to the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, and reviewed on Yelp, Google Reviews, and elsewhere - for the protection of the public.

The unit had some nice upgrades and the online images were accurate to what we received. They have a large selection of properties to choose from and customer service was spot on for us.

OWNER BEWARE -- UNAUTHORIZED ACH DISPUTE, MONTHS OF LOST REVENUE, AND EXCESSIVE FEES…read more My experience with Nomadness Rentals was an absolute nightmare. They left my newly prepared Mammoth Lakes property effectively unadvertised and without a single paid booking for more than three months, despite my repeatedly asking why the listing was not live and what they were doing to generate reservations. While my property sat vacant and I lost substantial rental income, Nomadness continued charging me for setup, inspections, lock installation and programming, maintenance coordination, subscriptions, cleaning-related requirements, and other fees. The worst part was a $1,817.17 ACH debit from my bank account that I formally disputed as unauthorized. My position has consistently been that the account was provided to receive owner payouts--not for Nomadness to withdraw whatever charges it chose. Owners should be extremely cautious about giving this company access to a checking account and should require written approval for every single expense. In my experience, their business model appeared far more focused on generating recurring and mandatory fees from property owners than on successfully marketing and renting the property. Owners are pushed to purchase equipment, install specific items, use designated services or contractors, pay upfront setup costs, and continue paying recurring fees--even when the company's actual performance is extremely poor. I personally found these practices deceptive, predatory, and completely unacceptable. After months of delays, zero paid occupancy, disputed charges, and lost revenue, I had no confidence that Nomadness was acting in my best interest as the property owner. I strongly caution all property owners--particularly first-time vacation-rental owners, elderly owners, or anyone who may not closely examine every invoice and bank transaction--to review every contract provision, preserve every email, refuse open-ended ACH authorization, and demand written approval before any charge is incurred. Based on my documented experience, I would never trust Nomadness Rentals with another property, another bank account, or another dollar. Avoid this company.

I planned this trip with a group of friends, and they could not stop commenting about how the chalets was the best stay they've been in at Mammoth. We stayed at chalet #9 which was not a ski out, but a very short walk to the main lodge/lifts and definitely a ski in from lower road runner. The chalet itself was cozy with plentiful seating, and even extra foldable chairs for our group. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms came equipped with hotel sized toiletries, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with all the necessities, along with a fridge/freezer that was the perfect size to fit all of our weekend groceries. I also appreciated that they even had a huge pot to make group meals like pho, even though I had already brought my own instant pot. I would 110% stay here again and recommend the chalets to all of my family and friends. This was such a wonderful find. Thank you for the awesome stay Mammoth Mountain Chalets! :)

She did a good job. My 1/2 lb bison burger patty was cooked to delicious perfection. Having a non-dehydrated meal after an 8- day BP trip was a treat. Having this bison burger meal with the option of 2 side dishes was heavenly. No, potato fries wasn't one of the choices. I did choose the asparagus and zucchini cooked in marinara sauce and the restuffed baked half potato. This was an exceptional meal that was almost too big for me to finish, but I managed! The bison meat was flavorful and had not the slightest greasy quality about it. Getting meals of this quality when far off the beaten track is a delightful expectation when at Mono Hot Springs. You would be hard-pressed to find a meal this good in the towns further down the mountain.
