This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic. Just a short walk from Mammoth Village, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. One of the standout amenities was the complimentary shuttle service, which provided transportation to and from the airport as well as any area of the Mammoth ski resort we wanted to access. They even welcomed us with a bottle of wine, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel is brand new, and the design is beautiful, modern, and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, and the gym was much larger and better equipped than I anticipated. After a long day of snowboarding, I especially appreciated the hot tub, pool, and the body care products available for guests to use. The only minor downside was the walk required to access some of the amenities, but it was a small inconvenience compared to an otherwise wonderful experience. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Mammoth.

My wife and I recently did a short trip to Mammoth Lakes region and we stayed at Limelight Mammoth. First thing to say, I can't comment on the price, my wife booked it and I think using her AMEX card she was able to redeem some credit towards a stay. I probably didn't cover everything, but it certainly helped guide our decision making and it was a good experience. Limelight Mammoth seems to be a pretty high end resort, their hotel is also connected to residences where people stay long-term. The rooms are nice and spacious. I can't speak to some of their amentities (e.g. pool or fitness center), but they did have some features: - They had some sort of partnership with Therabody (the company that makes Theragun and other personal massage products), you can check those out for a couple hours at a time based on availability. We tried some of those products, especially after a longer day of hiking and that was nice. - When we were there, there was a promotion to be able to test drive an Audi SUV, you have to schedule a little in advance, so we didn't take them up on it. - They had breakfast included which was very well done and much more than a continental breakfast. - The property was very good friendly which was an important because our dog travels with us most of the time. Dogs couldn't be in the main dining area of the restaurant but dogs could be out on their patio area which had tables, chairs, couches, loung chairs and firepits. Their parking was all valet, there was a crew of people who always seemed busy dropping off or returning peoples' vehicles. One special benefit was they have EV charging onsite for no additonal charge. When EV charging was available, that really helped us as we drove all around the area without charging hesitancy. At different times of the day the valet can be busy, so be prepared for a wait at different times of the day. We tried their restaurant one evening, also because our reservation came with some credit to be used at the restaraunt. I tried of their fried chicken sandwiches and we had a couple glasses of wine.. good wine selection. We were there in late June, which seemed like an "offpeak" time of the year. There were people but the area didn't seem as super-busy and crowded as it might be during the winter time/ski or boarding season. Limelight seems in a good location for us to get around where we needed to by car, there were also different resort restaurant/shopping areas within walking distance which again didn't feel super busy in Late June and had some good places to watch a World Cup Match. This trip was our first time in the Mammoth Lakes area, and we seemed to like it better than Lake Tahoe in the summer. We did some hiking and exploring and only scratched the surface so maybe we'll come down again sometime and if we do, we'll see what's available at Limelight.

The room has to be the best part of the hotel -- the food is really good there, and every night there's always live music.

It was my first time visiting Mammoth, and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hotel is new, clean, and in a great location. The heated pool and two hot tubs were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast was also good. The only downside is that the hotel only offers valet parking--there's no self-parking--and it costs $35 per night, which felt a bit expensive. Other than that, everything was great. Overall, I had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Price for incidentals

Horrible experience. To start, they don't have any parking so if you're staying for a couple days you have to valet your vehicle $35.00 per day. The valet employees are nice to you depending on the car you drive. The hotel will then charge your card $500 for incidentals on top of the price of your stay. Did not ever inform us of that until check-in. Lastly, it's very upsetting that for the price you pay, they have the audacity to deny late check-outs because they "ran out" according to Kennedy at the front desk. No accommodations. They have no issue taking your money though. Will never come back.

Thermostat stopped working, room temperature got below 58°, no heat, kids had to sleep in winter gear and no power to half the room.

We stayed at Limelight Mammoth from Jan 29-Feb 1, 2026. On our first night, the assigned room experienced a complete heating failure (thermostat fully inoperable, room temperature dropped to approximately 58°F overnight) along with widespread electrical outlet failure. We have children, who slept in winter clothing due to the cold. Maintenance indicated the electrical issue could require opening the wall. We were moved to a different room the following morning. Some restaurant charges were comped, which was appreciated. However, the first night's room charge and associated taxes were not adjusted, despite the room being uninhabitable overnight. We made multiple written attempts to resolve this. We escalated the matter through Limelight Hotels corporate and Aspen Hospitality, the parent organization under Aspen One, as well as to the Director of Operations at the property, but did not receive a response. We requested a refund of the first night only (approximately $502.87), which we believe is reasonable given the circumstances. Posting this here because direct corporate outreach has not resulted in a response.

First of all, wow it's a gorgeous and well designed property! Every detail was anticipated such as enough towel racks/hangers (most hotels miss this!) the pool and hot tub area is fantastic and beautiful and the hot tub is heated to perfection. Only weird thing is you have to go a weird way to access the pool, but once there it's beautiful! The gym is state of the art! The valet isn't my favorite as I prefer to park myself but the young man Gavin at the valet was very kind and patient while we got our stuff and even offered suggestions on where we can go nearby. It's right next to the ski Lyft and they offer ski storage. We came during summer so we enjoyed the pool. Restaurant is a bit pricey with most drinks around $19 each.. but that's to be expected in higher end hotels. OH! check in was a breeze and the front desk so helpful!! BRAVO

Very nice new hotel in the Mammoth Village area. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming. A good Breakfast buffet is included. Hotel has a large modern social space near the lobby.

We booked the Limelight Hotel Mammoth because it's the newest hotel in Mammoth. We usually stay at The Westin, but wanted to try something new. Because it's brand new, I would say it is currently the nicest hotel in Mammoth--though that of course comes at a premium. That said, it is not a 5-star, full-service hotel. There is no room service and no spa. I would describe it as a step up from a Marriott Courtyard: modern, clean, stylish, but not ultra-luxury. Mammoth overall has mostly dated apartments, condos, and houses near the ski resort, so Limelight definitely stands out. Valet parking is $35/day with in-and-out privileges. The hotel also offers complimentary rides (first come, first serve) in Ford Expeditions to restaurants and around town. They've partnered with Audi as well and have a few vehicles onsite that guests can borrow for up to two hours, with suggested scenic routes if you want to explore the area. We were there for a 3-day holiday ski weekend. There were three of us, and we booked the Limelight Suite (504 sq ft) instead of the Deluxe Queen Room (410 sq ft). The Limelight Suite was about $5,000 for three nights, but remind you this was during a holiday weekend. The Limelight Suite features a king bedroom and a spacious open-concept living area with a sleeper sofa, dining table, microwave, Lavazza coffee machine and SMEG fridge. Our room had a private balcony with amazing views. The bathroom included both a walk-in shower and a separate tub in a glassed in area. Storage was well thought out, with a dresser and hanging space. There were two 55-inch TVs, though oddly, when you turned one on in the bedroom, both TVs would turn on despite the separation wall. Breakfast is included and starts at 7am. The buffet offered cold cereals, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, toast/bagels, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and more. In the breakfast area there was tea, drip coffee, and two fully automatic Lavazza machines--there was usually a line for those. They did offer to-go cups so you could make a latte or cappuccino and bring it back to your room. Breakfast was fine, but not amazing. One day, friends who woke up later found that some items had run out. We didn't have that issue since we were up early to get to the ski resort when it opened. The hotel has a concierge, as well as a pool and hot tub. One downside is that to access the pool and hot tub from the room elevators, you have to walk past the bar and lobby seating areas. Most people do this in robes, which can feel a little awkward when others are dressed up for drinks or a night out. The lobby itself is very open and has multiple seating areas. On Saturday night there was a DJ, and the lobby was packed--it was really lively and crowded. This may have been amplified by the holiday weekend, but it did feel busy. There were also a lot of families staying at the hotel since school was out. Location-wise, Limelight is excellent. It's directly next door to The Westin and directly across the street from The Village and the Village Gondola. Limelight also has a ski valet room where you can store skis and boots (boots must be in a bag). You put your boots on there and grab your skis before heading out, though there is still a bit of walking involved to reach the gondola. From the Limelight, while carrying your skis and wearing ski boots, you have to walk down a long set of stairs, cross the street, then go up another set of stairs to reach the Village Gondola. The Village Gondola then takes you to Canyon Lodge, where the lifts are located. This is where the difference between Limelight and The Westin next door becomes noticeable. At The Westin, the ski valet is located directly under the Village Gondola, which allows you to walk from the hotel in regular shoes, go down the stairs, cross the street, put your boots on at the valet, and then carry your skis up to the gondola. When you return, you can drop everything right there below the gondola. With Limelight, you have to walk in ski boots and carry your skis up and down all of those stairs, both coming and going. This may not be a big deal for some, but it's something to seriously consider if you have children or simply don't enjoy hauling skis around. Overall, I do recommend the Limelight, it's a really nice, modern hotel with a great location, beautiful rooms, and a fun, lively atmosphere. Just go in knowing the trade-offs compared to The Westin, especially when it comes to ski access and value. Please see all my detailed pictures.

Wrong choice. I thought I'll just grab something I can heat up in the morning in the microwave. Yeah, there is none. So the $ difference is lost. It's also an older building, there are no ramps or elevators to enter the building or 2nd floor. It's also noisy. Between the noise from the hallway to the busy and the cars outside I'm not sure which was louder. Room was clear and tidy, but design choices left a lot to be desired. There were no doors on the sink vanity and it just looked like someone took the doors off and forgot to put them back on. The closet in the corner was right next to the bedside table so it cramped and we had small bags.

Extremely Poor Customer Service -- Save Your Money and Stay Elsewhere…read more The saga at this hotel just continued to get worse. We booked six rooms as a group, paying rates of up to $450 per night, and virtually everyone in our group experienced problems. In our case, we paid for an air-conditioned room for three days, yet the AC did not work for two days -- while the heat was actually on. Despite calling the front desk repeatedly, the problem was never appropriately resolved. At one point, Allie (sp?), who originally checked us in, responded to our repeated concerns by saying, "We have given you the manager's fan. What else do you want?" The fact that a hotel charging these rates considers a portable fan an acceptable solution for a nonfunctioning AC system says a lot. Things became even more disturbing when we spoke with Aureli, the assistant manager. Rather than resolving the problem, the proposed solution appeared to be moving us to an inferior room. When we tried to discuss the situation with her, the interaction escalated and she ultimately left the lobby while asking us to leave. Throughout our stay, we encountered an astonishingly confrontational attitude from staff. Statements from Aureli included "You need to leave the lobby," "You can't tell us what to do," and even, incredibly, "We have the room but won't give it." She even walked out on us when we tried to ask her the reason she could not change our room. This is not simply poor customer service; it reflects staff who appear inadequately trained in how to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally and respectfully. There were plenty of other problems as well: our bathroom cleaning was missed, the rooms were extremely noisy due to poor sound insulation, there was inadequate space for luggage, and there was no iron, phone etc etc But those inconveniences pale in comparison with the way guests were treated. Even more disappointing, Renee, the manager, never once spoke with us, despite the situation escalating to this degree. I do want to recognize Jenny, who was the one exception. She was courteous, helpful and genuinely tried to assist us, including helping us obtain the manager's fan so that we could at least sleep. We appreciated her kindness. When one guest has a problem, it can be an unfortunate incident. When a group books six rooms and everyone has complaints about the service, it suggests a much larger problem with how the property is being managed. For a hotel charging up to $450 a night, the combination of malfunctioning basic amenities, poor housekeeping, inadequate facilities and, above all, shockingly adversarial customer service is unacceptable. I rarely feel this strongly about a hotel, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property. Save your time, your money and your frustration and stay somewhere else. This hotel needs a serious review of its management, staff training and basic standards of hospitality.
