    Pass on the salsa

A Love-Hate Relationship with Mamitaco! So, picture this: I finally decide to check out this taco spot I've been dreaming about because let's be real--I loveeeee tacos like most people love their morning coffee (or their afternoon tequila). From the outside, Mamitaco looks like a taco palace--really, the kind of place where dreams come true. But once inside? It was like The Taco That Shrunk: the Interior Edition. After taking a seat, I eagerly awaited my water like it was a long-lost friend. Spoiler alert: waiting for water took longer than waiting for my laundry to dry in a monsoon. And don't even get me started on the chips and salsa--let's just say I'm pretty sure it was just salted tomato sauce. I was ready to drown my sorrows in tacos but my enthusiasm was fading faster than my patience! But then... drumroll please... I got my drink, the La Flor! One sip and suddenly I was on a Caribbean island, toes in the sand, and not a worry in the world. Until reality hit me like a taco truck backing up--our food was still MIA after a whopping 45 minutes. Cue the impatience and the foot tapping! Enter Maurice--the multitasking manager/bartender/all-around taco superhero. He swoops in with shots that were a heavenly mix. My brow lowered (in less irritation and more "thank you, taco gods") as the frustration faded. But then... OH. EM. GEE. The tacos arrived, and they were so goooood! Seriously, if I could marry a taco, it would be the crispy plantain with perfectly cooked steak. I could've devoured five without breaking a sweat! The Madurito and PC tacos had me torn--why did I wait so long for this juicy goodness? Now I'm torn between love and a strong simmering irritation at how long it took to get here! So, here's the deal: I hate you, Mamitaco... but I also love you. How rude of you to serve me such deliciousness after teasing me with long waits and questionable salsa! I guess this taco head has a reason to come back again, and probably bring friends (mostly for the tacos, let's be honest). #TacoDrama #LoveHateRelationship #MamitacoMagic

MamiTaco is a great place for Mexican food. I had the monster burrito and loved it. Excellent food quality and very good service. Outdoors seating options in a covered patio or open air. Highly recommended! Not like traditional Mexican restaurants w "number 11" standard, though those are great too. This is more cooked to order authentic menu items.

The margarita flight was a big hit! We felt like we were on vacation in Mexico! Hubby and I also enjoyed the steak and salmon tacos. The service was good and the place was vibrant. I will be back!

I came here with my best friends to have some great Mexican food and to catch up. I do like that this location does have free parking. This place welcomes all ages and even has employees come out to celebrate those having a birthdays/other occasions. Our server, Mauricio was the highlight of the visit. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the drinks. I got the signature drink (sad to say I forgot what the name was). The drink was amazing! I wasn't super hungry so I decided to get the Mami dip which was divine and packed with flavor. The dip came with shrimp, chicken and steak in it. We all came here at the end of the October which had the day of the dead theme ambiance. Overall this is a good spot for a good time and some good drinks.

I really really like mamitaco and would absolutely return if ever in Marietta again. The food was great and the margarita flights were kind of expensive but really good and quite unique, totally worth it! The service was awesome. We sat in the back area it was nice bc it was slow but was a Monday.

Overall, this place was good but not great The layout of the store is weird. They seem to have too many tables for the space they have so you really have to navigate to get around and may get bumped by every employee and customer just trying to go to the bathroom but they stay crowded I don't like that they don't have prices for their drinks. My friends got flights & the Valentine's margaritas flight was $30 and both of them didn't like all of the flavors. The drinks were pretty but 16oz total .. not sure that that's worth $30. I just had a $4 guava juice - lol it was good and worth the cost I ordered quesochorizo for the table - it was ok. ~$11 but flavor is kinda bland and it solidified very fast tbh. Prob would skip this next time Their salsa is also very sweet and I've never thought that about a salsa. Weird flavor, not my favorite I had the birria tacos & they were so filling, came very full of meat and a little cheese. The meat was tender & consomme was delicious! The "hot" sauce they serve isn't even spicy, more like a bitter pepper. 3 tacos ~$18 The beans were refried but were good! They had the place decorated for Valentine's and all of the decor was very cute. The parking lot was full but it's a huge lot so you'll find a spot, it just may not be right in front Id go back here and probably try some other entrees, maybe try the guacamole next time.

I had dinner with a friend at Mamitaco on a Friday night. It was really busy, so we had about a 20 minute wait. Our waitress was amazing. She was very attentive and friendly. She helped us make decisions on drinks. We both had a 24oz La Flor margarita ($17.95). It was so good, and made me feel like I was at the beach. It has hibiscus syrup, 1800 coconut, lime juice, and a splash of pineapple juice. We also both ordered the 2 quesabirria tacos for dinner ($13.95). These were delicious! They are homemade corn tortillas, flash fried in their special sauce. Stuffed with birria, Oaxaca cheese, topped with onion and cilantro. Served with rice and beans, and a broth and sauce for dipping. They have a great deal on Groupon, so be sure to check that out if you are thinking about trying Mamitaco!

We went here to checkout the valentines popup they were having and it was so gorgeous! Cute decorations, neat limited edition menu and yummy food! Service was a little slow considering we went at 3pm and hardly anyone was in there. The food and drinks were a little pricey and the drinks weren't very strong but the food was good and flavorful! I would like to go back again and try the normal menu one day.

It can be a bit of a tight squeeze in the vintage building. Price wise, everything on the menu is reasonable. Plus, kids eat free on Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult meal. While service can be inconsistent and parking can be difficult to find in peak times, here are some of the redeeming factors: - mini poke tacos: love these more than the variation Mac's carries on their menu. I will say they may use a hair too much aioli at times, but the marinated tuna is a win. - queso is always a win. Served with tortilla triangles and tortilla chips. - Shanghai shrimp salad with sriracha honey dressing is my go to lunch choice. - fried yuca as a side is the way to go! My favorite tacos: - gringo: perfect amount of sloppy and salty with the queso - pacific rim: ask for it in a lettuce wrap! - Korean fried cauliflower: sometimes served with a bit too much guac, but I love the rest of it! Agave marg is always a win. Made with fresh lime juice instead of sweet and sour mix.
