This is my favorite mexican restaurant in the area! They have the BEST drink menu and I never pass up their flautas. I've since moved away from the area but still make sure to stop in whenever I'm in town. I especially recommend going during the holidays because of their holiday flight options. Tried this place with the family for the first time today. I was really excited to try the birria tacos based on other reviews. It was lunch time on Sunday and we were seated immediately. They brought out some chips and salsa right away. Things started off on the wrong foot once we were seated. We stacked all our menus together in our table to show we were ready to order to no avail. After waiting around 10 minutes, and seeing several other servers pass by our table, we asked who was waiting on our table. Edward, our server, finally made it to our table after we asked. My wife asked for his thoughts on the steak fajitas. Edward didn't answer the question and instead recommended the molcajete, which he said was not on the menu. That wasn't what my wife wanted so she went ahead and took a chance on the fajitas. My son ordered the grilled burrito al pastor. I ordered birria tacos and since it came with a choice of beans, I asked for charro beans. Those are my favorite. I noticed Edward wasn't writing anything down and he didn't repeat back our order. Of course, my tacos came with refried beans. I asked Edward if they were charro and he said the kitchen must have overlooked it. Thankfully, he quickly brought out what I needed. And that was the last we saw of Edward until we were finished eating. Of course we saw him waiting on other customers who had all ordered mixed drinks but we weren't as lucky. That was a problem since my son's order was wrong. He had carnitas in his burrito and not al pastor. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what he ordered nor what he wanted. He ate about half the burrito, which isn't normal for a growing teenager. My wife also needed more tortillas for her fajitas. Since Edward never made it back around, we were stuck with the wrong order and no more tortillas. After finishing our meal and waiting around 5 minutes, Edward decided to check in. We asked for the check and left. My wife enjoyed her fajitas, and I thought the birria tacos were excellent, but after the bad taste left in our mouth from the poor service we all agreed we would not be back any time soon. read more

We had a day off so we made our first trip here for lunch today (a Monday). We got here about 15 minutes after they opened so we obviously walked right in and were seated. All staff was friendly and helpful. Our waiter, Mauricio took time to help us pick our first meal and a cocktail flight. This place is known for their drinks. It's a nice diverse menu, and being a Mexican restaurant, the tequila offerings are top notch. Our flight was for drinks, and the way they do it is bartenders choice. We had a clear favorite but all 4 were really good. The one called La Paloma was our pick of the 4 we were served. The Food First thing that struck me here were the prices, they are VERY reasonable. I think they know their business is in the drinks, but the food keeps people coming. I had the Quesabirrias and they were amazing! Tender well seasoned meat and the fried tortillas were just right. My wife had the bowl with grilled shrimp. It was such a great portion for $10! She only made it through about 1/2 of it. For just $7, the guacamole was well worth it too. You can't pick your flight so I wasn't too happy with what I got but it was an experience. I would come back! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is partially covered. We were hungry and decided to give the place a try it's in the shopping center past Lidil and walking in first thought was was a cute place! We quickly were greeted and seated with fresh salsa and chips. Then came the drink offers you MUST TRY the margarita flights! Drinks I would have never ordered became my new favorites. Delicious quesabirria- the shell is crispy but pliable, different then any other birria taco ive had and ive had plenty lol The consommé was perfect, normally i have to add a little lime juice and salt but this needed nothing. Ordered a margarita flight, they were tasty but i was barely buzzed, cant say i really tasted any alcohol which is upsetting cuz if ur gonna charge $30, there should be a noticeably alcohol content. Oh well. Oh- the MAMIDIP in the beginning, with the chicken, beef, and shrimp.. fire. And the meats were so flavorful.. id come back and would be curious to try the steak because of how good it tasted in the queso! read more

Came here with my girlfriends on a Friday night. We had to wait 45 min for a table. Parking is free so we just sat in the car and they texted us. It's a small space but it was decorated very nicely for Christmas. I mainly came for the margarita flights and I must say they did not disappoint. They were delicious and presentation was on point. The food was just ok though so I hope they work on those recipes but other than that I do want to return. read more

I order a pick 3 taco plate via uber eats tonight, the steak taco was really good. However the chicken taco could use some help as it was on the dryer side so I added some salsa. Upon finishing my steak taco , I grab a shrimp off of my shrimp taco and I bit into it to find it was spoil, I literally gagged at the taste and the awful smell followed. "Rreal"Tacos have NOTHING on MamiTaco. This place is the real deal. I love how they always do trendy or limited time menu options and the food is ACTUALLY good. The Aguachiles are a must! I get it as an appetizer and typically always get the enchiladas de mole or the birria quesadillas. Food is delicious and so are the drinky drinks. I LOVE that they're freshly made and strong but not straight up alcohol. On top of all that, the prices are pretty decent and you definitely get so much value for it. 10/10 would recommend!! read more

It was Saturday afternoon for lunch and was craving some great Mexican food and I definitely found the place! I walked into Mamitaco and it has this awesome vibe, cool decor and atmosphere. The bar area was huge with so many different kinds of tequila all over the wall. It would be impossible to choose just one. I was sat out in the "garage" area that had garage doors that would lift up. It was so cool just to sit out there and feel the energy. We were immediately served warm chips and some salsa. The order was taken and the food was brought out in no time. Quesabirria Tacos with Mexican rice/refried beans and Enchiladas Supreme. I have to say that the food was incredible!! I did happen to eat a lot of chips and salsa so I had to take some home and I enjoyed it later that night. I am planning another visit soon because I have to try the Street Corn. read more

Honestly, our server sucked! We came during lunch time today 9/9/24 & the host was serving just about the whole restaurant but it was super slow maybe 3-4 tables. She acted as if she didn't wanna answer any questions and she just seemed annoyed the entire time. I ordered a burrito to go for my husband and (attaching picture) ITS CLEARLY NOT A BURRITO. It's an enchilada.. idk if she thought i was slow or what but i definitely called her over to double check.. and she assured it was a burrito. Mind you I've gotten a burrito from here before.... Went on Cinco de Mayo, they were ready for the most part. Very accommodating for a large group with no reservations!!!! One thing for them to consider, if you have a waiting tent outside maybe have apps and drinks for the guests out there. Food is off the charts in flavor, quality and a lot to eat . Went with 4 of us and 2 of the meals were a mess. Ordered taco salad without tomatoes and sour cream on the side. They put tomatoes on it and then pulled them off before they brought it out. Had to ask twice to get sour cream. Son ordered wings, they sat in the window until the 3 of us were almost done eating. Once they came they were the wrong flavor, so we waited for the right ones a second time. What is frustrating is the waitress didn't care. Decided to give this place on a Wednesday mildly busy night. I wanted to like it so much b/c it's close to my parents home. Let's face it , free babysitting parents give me an excuse to have a fun margarita night. This however, will not be my go-to. Let me set the scene... The place is festive on the outside and cute. In fact it's instagram worthy which is why I showed up as well as location. So disappointing when things appear nice and clean but the service is subpar. It took about 7 minutes for me to be acknowledged by staff while sitting at the bar. Someone handed me a menu and slid off. This bar had about 6 ppl and a bartender and a bar back. There were a ton of servers standing around the kitchen chit chatting. So it's safe to assume there wasn't a shortage of waitstaff. I sat at the bar for another 15 min. I proceeded to order a margarita flight that's so wildly popular. The very unenthusiastic bartender Cameron took my order. It seemed painful for him to do so. Thankfully, the flight so super pretty and tasted awesome. No explanation as to what anything was but I digress. I requested chips/salsa b/c I hadn't eaten and it was 5:00pm. It took me asking THREE times in another 10 minute span for some random server to bring them out. Now I'm so disappointed by the strangely poor service that I decided to order quesabirria tacos to go. Mind you I had to flag Cameron down yet again to place this order that he refused to write down. The one thing I stressed was that I didn't want the onions on the taco. So you can probably guess it was screwed up. Took another 20 minutes and then he brought the order out in a paper bag. I really gotta start checking my bag before leaving places. I get to my mom's home with my food only to find a crap ton of chopped RAW onions throughout both tacos. They were so strong in odor my dad was annoyed lol. They also forgot the consume sauce that you dip the tacos in. The beans were soupy but the rice was ok. I had such HIGH expectations for this place. If I ever try it again I won't be sitting at the sorry bar lol. We ordered 6 entrees for carry out and a drink at the bar while we waited for our order--$133 later; we were disappointed. Pros: chicken and steak was tender and had nice flavor in all the dishes. Cons: Loaded fries (french fries topped with cheese, chicken & mostly corn...corn??!!), chaquiles with red and green sauce add shrimp (i should have tasted the sauce before i poured it over my food...the "green" sauce was sweet?! and the shrimp was undercooked --ruined my dish), steak tacos consisted of meat on a single corn tortilla--but the tortilla was so thin that it would disintegrate/split and the taco would fall apart. Hard to write a review on a place you didn't actually eat, but my wife and I went in yesterday to eat some tacos. As we pulled up the music was super loud outside but we hoped it would be better inside. Opened the door and it was even louder inside. It was so loud you could barely hear the hostess. We ended up leaving and going to another place because the volume was just too loud. FYI. I am not an old fart who doesn't like music either. My husband saw a recommendation for Mamitaco on Facebook. He recommended we go there, last evening. I did some research and the health score was good and many positive reviews. Thus, I jumped at the chance as he never wants to go to have Mexican. They did not disappoint. There was a small 20 minute wait. We were seated indoor. The decor was vibrant and energetic. Our server was on point and even asked if we wanted two salsa's as opposed to one. I had the Mole Enchilada's and he had the Dirty Bird Tacos. Both were delicious and appropriately sized. Just enough to fill without over filling and having to take things home. They were flavorful and clearly did not simply get unloaded from a Sysco truck. My Blackberry Margarita was amazing and something that I'd definitely have again. This was a great replacement for the place that had been there previously. The pineapple margarita was my favorite. I ordered the enchiladas supreme it was ok but I have better it wasn't worth taking a star away for it. But I'd give it a 6/10. This place is one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The music was extremely loud and service was incredibly slow. I asked for the plate of three tacos de carne asada and was served two, but the waitress brought me a third. However, they tried to charge me for two tacos and one a la carte (which cost more) and I had to ask them to change it to the original order of three that I had requested. It took an hour to get one nacho supreme and the order of three tacos. The food was pretty average and my tacos were under seasoned. The atmosphere is just... undesirable. The first thing you see when you walk in is a massive bar, and the whole place feels like a bar with food as an afterthought. I'm underage and my family doesn't drink, so perhaps I'm biased, but making alcohol the main reason people come to what you advertise as a mexican restaurant feels a bit deceptive. read more
