I'd been wanting to try this place for a while. Just the view from the street can make one want to stop in! Ample outdoor seating. Chic 2nd floor dining area. Gorgeous plant decor. I finally made it today. And am pleased to say the visit was well worth it. I'm assuming the well staffed restaurant was in preparation for a busy Friday evening but we were promptly seated. We shared the house salsa and chips, plus ordered guac. The guac was chunky, as described but I was hoping for a little more heat from the jalapeños. Nice! I grab lunch with a colleague on a warm Friday afternoon and it was wonderful. Our server was spot on and very helpful with the menu. My go to Mexican spot down the street went out of business . I am now on the hunt for a new favorite Mexican spot. I patronized this spot on an early Friday evening- around 4pm. I opted to sit upstairs on the patio. When I seated myself a served did come over quickly to introduce herself and get my drink order. Shortly after that I was provided with chips and salsa. I ordered the guacamole to start with and shrimp fajitas for my main course. The food arrived quickly. The issue , all of it was basic! Nothing stood out. The food lacked seasoning. I will say service was solid and it's a cute space . However, I am on the hunt for good tasting Mexican food. This spot will NOT be my new go to . I'm so happy we stumbled across this cute little restaurant on national margarita day at that! Right off of South Cobb drive this Mexican restaurant has all of the major menu items you'd expect a Mexican restaurant to have. I enjoyed the fajita style nachos with queso, fried beans, onions and peppers, lettuce, chicken, shrimp and steak. I appreciated how all of the protein was flavorful without being overly seasoned. The guac similarly, was very authentic and chunky. You also can't go wrong with $7 marg's so if you have the chance to go is highly recommend it. Amazing service , I ordered one of their festive drinks be realized there was an ingredient I was allergic to so I had to swap it out which they did with no issue. The food was really good and came out shockingly quick. There's plenty of options of seating, inside , on the patio and upstairs. The vibe here is usually cool they have a bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and an upstairs bar that looks off to the street. The service for the most part I would say is okay as I've been numerous times and the food usually comes in a timely manner and I can't say I've ever had anyone rude. I usually come here because they have vegan options but recently was turned off as I'm not sure because it was late or what the issue was but I ordered a fajita quesadilla that came out without the onions and peppers and was told because I got vegan it didn't include them, which made no sense because it's fajita that's the whole point. Upon asking for them on the side they were brought out with meat in them so they were took back instead of being made fresh they tried to remove the meat and bring it back as I made it clear I do not eat meat and saw meat still in the onions. Someone else ordered the Lindo bowl and was told because they got vegan they couldn't get rice but wasn't told until after it came and they wouldn't advise as to why so needless to say I probably won't return because for the price of the vegan I'm not sure why certain things aren't included or noted on menu. This place is a great! We went here as our last stop before heading to the airport. They are SUPER fast. They will have your meals out and hot within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Very juicy and flavorful dish items. They even have vegan options! Their drinks are strong and well worth the $23! It was date night and I wanted Tacos. Being proactive, Mexico Lindo was chosen and I was just told what time to be there. Upon arriving, Mexico Lindo sits directly on the main strip making it super easy to find. There is parking in the front and back which was perfect as when I pulled in the front was full which had me scared. LoL. The parking in back is ample and the lot is well lit. Walking in, the ambiance is vibrant and fast moving. The bar was in full go mode and the downstairs had an ambiance of local bar meets trendy restaurant. As I walked to the hostess stand, I was greeted with all smiles. Upon exchanging salutations, I was offered the options of seating on the patio, downstairs, or rooftop. Yes! I said rooftop. You know what I chose. Rooftop me, please. As the rooftop is first come first serve, we headed up and took a seat. The rooftop is on the second level and surrounded by all glass. The all glass approach allows you to enjoy a three sided view of your surroundings. Granted the main view is the parkway, however, it has a nice feel at night as there isn't any traffic and the colored lights from the surrounding buildings present a fun visual. After taking a seat, we were greeted by Sarah. Sarah was very welcoming, super upbeat, and created a great environment as she served as bartender and server for the rooftop... Sarah provided us with menus and gave us a moment as she went to grab us some water. (tap water, for those who care) After exploring the menu for a few and getting a sweet tea to drink. I decided on: Empanadas - "Crunchy cornmeal dough filled with ground beef, rice, and potato mix. Served with pico de gallo." for an Appetizer. Brisket Tacos - "Smoked brisket, chipotle aioli, black bean corn salsa, and onion straws" for my meal. The empanadas were a set of 4. They were mini and put you in the mindset of a puffed meat pie with a taquito feel. The beef filling was minimal and the flavor was bland. The empanada itself was hot, fresh, and perfectly fried. However, the absence of flavor, meat, and a few specs of rice caused this dish to be a huge disappointment for me. I only ate one. My date enjoyed the rest as he used the Chipotle Ranch dip to provide added flavor... As a lover of empanadas, this dish is not a good representation of the traditional meat filled pie. The smoked brisket tacos were beautiful. The visual presentation enhanced my excitement to sink my teeth into them. The brisket was thinly sliced and smoked to tender perfection. The brisket maintained its smoky flavor and the taco allowed the natural juices to be the center of flavor attention. The black bean corn salsa and onion straws provide a great texture variance to the taco. The onion straws give the crunch as I went with a flour shell per Sarah's recommendation, and she was spot on with the suggestion. The flavor profile of the taco was blank. Though the natural flavor of the smoked brisket was good, there was no added surprise or authenticity provided to make it a true taco experience. Furthermore, as the brisket was the center of flavor attention, I would have loved a side of bbq sauce as I felt like the taco experience was missed providing for a bbq brisket wrap to take over my thoughts. The taco comes as a set of three. I ate one and took the other two home. What I will say is that after being in the car for my trip to the store and riding home, the tacos actually tasted better. It was as if the 3 elements just sat together within the flour shell and just blended together. I promise you. The two tacos I ate after getting home outshined the one I ate at the restaurant. With all this said, if I was in the area and wanted tacos, I would go back. I'm open to trying another taco option to see what it offers. Albeit bland flavor profile aside, the ingredients used in the tacos were fresh. The meat was good quality and the tacos weren't heavy. The ambiance alone makes this location ideal for a date or friends night out. It was super energetic which helped add to the table talk. I really wanted to try this place out but made the mistake of going on cinco de Mayo and it was PACKED with a 3 hour wait for a table! So I went during lunch on a weekday and I am really glad that I did! I had the steak fajitas and the meat had so much flavor and the portion size was perfect. The prices are very reasonable and the portion size is just right. I would love to come back here again on a Friday night and try cocktails because they have two bars! This is one of my favorite underrated restaurants. Very authentic and family owned for more than 20 years. I've been eating here for at least 11 years when I'm in the area. The food is so good and flavorful. The have a 3.99 margarita special every day. I love them. They taste really good and have a nice kick. When I Coen with friends we will do the $20 pitcher. If your looking for a super high end upscale place this is not it . But if your looking for really good food and good drinks . At an affordable price this is the spot. Especially in the week. We ordered bottle-in, frozen margaritas: mine with peach moscato and my husband's with Dos Equis. I typically order a house margarita on the rocks, so this was different, but fun! Parking: When I pulled into the lot Tuesday night, I was nervous I wasn't going to find a parking spot! There were so many cars, and a few cars looking for parking. They do have additional parking in the back, so that's where I ended up. The parking is free. Food: Chips and salsa are complimentary while you decide on what to drink and eat. I decided on a frozen strawberry margarita and it was delicious. I also had the cheese dip, which I enjoyed. For my entree, I ordered the half order of the grilled chicken quesadilla. I'm so glad I got the half order and not the full order because it was such a big serving! It was seasoned very well, and thought it was super tasty. Vibe: The staff was super nice and I have to give a special shoutout to our waiter, Fernando. I finally made it to this cute restaurant for a content creator meetup! Upon arrival, I was lucky to find one parking spot. The parking is free but if it is a busy time, parking may become slim as it appeared when I went. After parking I noticed the cute "rooftop" area or more so the balcony on the 2nd floor where people can enjoy drinks and food. I walked inside and found the people I was meeting up with and met our waiter Fernando. He was fairly new but he was a great waiter. He made sure everyone at the table was satisfied. And when we asked to take a group photo, he made sure he got every single angle lol. Loved it! As for the food, I had one enchilada and one taco with shredded chicken and rice. Which was delicious! Met up with some good people on this past Saturday. First time trying this Mexican spot. For the purpose of this review, I will state the pros and cons of my experience. Pros: A very kind and attentive server who ask my party all the time we're we okay and if she could be of assistance. The drinks were super strong and the cost is very feasible. The chips and salsa were crisp and there was an abundance of it. Cons: This place has a karaoke bar on the other side of the restaurant. The music that is played is so loud and over bearing you really can't hear yourself nor your friends comments. At a point, I couldn't hear myself chew on my food. The singers would belt out the notes and the sound would be terrible. I know Karaoke is suppose to be terrible but they could have turned the volume down a little bit. The food was average not the best nor the worst. I didn't feel so good after eating their fajita nachos and a friend who was there that night stated she didn't feel so good either. Overall not a bad place, they should really consider turning down the volume at the karaoke bar. If I go back I wouldn't get the same food I got last time. The tequila in them was perfect and the prices matched. The food was equally as good. I order the calamari appetizer and it was some of the best I've had and it was paired with fried jalapeños. I normally don't eat any type of jalapeño but they were so tasty I couldn't resist them. For my main course I ordered the hot potato fajita with chicken and shrimp.
