So yummy shrimp and cheese empanadas
Peter T.

I had a great time eating here last night. I had the shrimp and cheese empanadas, el sazón de kora, and seafood caldo. We got some sampler tostadas that was on the house. Service was fast, food was great and they had the band playing.

Coctel de Camarón

This is the only place i'll make a day trip for some Camarones A La Diabla it's the same thing i order every time! Camarones A La Diabla: 9/10. Obviously, they aren't intolerably hot since the have to be edible- duh. They have a nice taste, not sweet like someone on here said previously, and they're pretty consistent with the same taste every time. They don't hit right away but the spice definitely intensifies as you continue. The sides are well proportioned to give you a filling and fulfilling meal. Coctel De Camarón: 7/10. My fiancé got this and it's not something to get EVERY TIME you know? It was more for the antojo, but something that we can have better at home lol. He had to add a good amount of salsa & limon to kind of give it a bit more flavor, it tasted mostly like Clamato. Not a "you need to get this when you come here" meal but it gets the job done. Atmosphere: If you like loud live music definitely go for it, I personally don't so the atmosphere is eh to me, but that's just a personal thing. It's not distracting or horrible hence why I still visit. Service: They were out of a few appetizers and aguas but it wasn't really an issue since our food came out fast and they have plenty more drinks to choose from. Yet, our server told us they were out of guacamole at first & then came back and said we could only order the large so idk. They told us it was cash only at the time but that they had an ATM, then the ATM ended up not working so that was frustrating. They later were able to run the card so it wasn't cash only. Service was pretty fast food wise but actual face-to-face with the server lacked especially since the restaurant wasn't really full when we went. I didn't like that a lot of staff were in the corner standing & sitting around just chillin looking around but I guess they could since it wasn't busy but they definitely could've helped out our server as well. It took away from the experience because it was a bit intimidating and you couldn't eat comfortably since we were so close to them. Price: The prices weren't bad it was $43 for two of us including tax but not including our tip. All in all, i'll still continue to come here for my camarón fix, just not on the regular.

Delicious birria tacos with consome broth. It's exactly what I needed after a long day traveling. I…read moreordered from Door Dash and it was about 23 minutes to my house. The presentation, packaging and flavors were all done well. I ordered the mango lemonade, 3 chicken birria tacos and it comes with the broth to dip it. Plus, a green sauce. Hit the spot on a late evening. I haven't been inside but will check it out when I'm in the area. Smyrna has the best Mexican!!

I asked could they cut the chicken small for my elderly mother. These fools flat out said no. That was beyond unfathomable! As I watched a guy cutting vegetables. They have no logical on why they couldn't cut the chicken that was already cut up smaller. The cashier was a little girl with braces kept awkwardly giggling like a little school girl. I asked a guy for the manager. He had on some thick black frames. He tells me the manager isn't there. So, I ask who is in charge. He said, "I guess me". So I tell him what happened and he looked like another little kid with an awkward face like he didn't know what to do. Then he says, "well I just work here". Everyone just acted like they didn't understand or speak English. This was insane! I don't do bad service at all. Leave this place alone, just like I am. I have a low tolerance for stupidity. I just left while they played a who's on first. Completely unprofessional and immature. Will never spend a dime there again.

Eating Mexican food def. brings me comfort and it always starts with chips-n-salsa. Oh and we…read moreordered some delicious cheese dip too!! You know it's one of the best Monterrey's around when your friends all want to come here. I was just here last week. lol Back to back weeks that's how it's done. Anywho! The first time I came in I ordered a rice and beans combo w/ a beef hard taco and a chile relleno. Then just two days ago on Taco Tuesday I had the taco trio w/ fajita ckn, carne asada & al pastor. It also came w/ rice and beans, but I like to swap out the refried for black beans. mmmm... As always everything was well portioned and delicious. I took pictures of my friend's dishes too!! Those fajitas were gigantic!! The only item I will say that isn't super tasty or strong was the house made margaritas. Overall, we had great service and I'll def. keep coming back. Anything I could not finish I took home to eat. So in reality I have had mexican 4 times. Thanks for always serving fresh and delicious meals. Maybe one day soon I'll make it to bingo night. It sounds like a lot of fun!!

It looked like a kids meal. The chimichangas usually are a decent size, whether it's lunch or dinner. I didn't make a fuss, was just surprised. The staff is friendly, so im sure I'll be back. I went the day before and ordered a margaritas with the lamb lambrusco red wine inside. It was delicious.

Good service, excellent food. There were a couple things that made me want to deduct a star, but…read morethe food was so tasty, I'm giving them the full 5-star rating anyway. Chips are not free like you may get at other places (which was fine). We ordered the dip trio (guac, queso, & salsa). They were great but not enough chips for all the dips so our salsa went pretty much untouched because we ran out, which is a shame, because the salsa tasted homemade and was delicious. We ordered el pastor, asada & quesibirra tacos. My favorite of the three was the pastor tacos, but all were good. I wish there were at least one lime wedge per taco. Price-wise, maybe not the best value compared to other mexican spots, but the food was really good.

There's cute decor, just a nice vibe overall. It wasn't too busy for a Friday evening which was nice since we had our kids with us. The waiter was pleasant and checked on us occasionally, without being over bearing. We started with a trio of dips with chips- guacamole, queso, and salsa instead of the bean dip. All of them were good with the queso being so-so for me. The salsa is nice and smoky. One kid had a kids meal with two shredded beef tacos and fries. I'm glad they served the onions and cilantro on the side for him. Hubby has the queso birria plate and raved about how good it was. I enjoyed by pollo asado plate. I only wish they had a salsa bar with the pickled veggies, etc. The menu is extensive so I can't wait to try something else. Prices are a little higher than other Mexican places, but they make a lot of homemade items and you can tell the difference.
