Soggy shrimp, Poboy, shaking my head!
    Jason B.

I don't wanna waste a lot of time on this one. Because I know I will never go back. Food: 4/10 Service: 7/10 Just another average Place with overly priced food here in New Orleans. I see this is a common trend. But in the real world, you cannot sustain this because customers are just fed up with this crap. ChatGPT says 2500 businesses close every day! Keep this crap up like Bearcats the restaurant and both of you will be on the list soon!

After hearing the hype, the rumors are true. I'm glad I had a chance to stop in here to eat. The service was friendly and the waitress was super friendly and nice. She was attentive and made sure I was ok during my wait and while eating. The food was fresh and the portion size was big. I had enough to take home for some good ole leftovers

This place is such a gem on Bourbon! It wasn't crazy busy on a Friday evening, so we got seated immediately. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh (and delicious). The drinks are pretty strong and also reasonably priced. This was a great place to grab a hearty meal before continuing on to the other bars in the area!

We had the Oysters & they were good, very different from the other 2 places we went to get them. The level of hospitality here is beyond excellent the waitstaff is helpful, understanding, and freaking hilarious. They gave so many suggestions and answered so many questions we had about the area. Interior was clean. The staff was pretty laid back & approachable.

The group meet up here and we started with fried gator tail bites. They were tender with great flavor. I opted for the red beans and rice with crispy chicken and sausage. David our waiter was totally awesome and you could tell he took great pride in what he was doing. Gave the table great recommendation and it was a blessing seeing someone as passionate as he was. The decor was New Orleans and lively great place to eat.

Service was friendly and welcoming. If you're really hungry after 10 PM when most restaurants have already closed, this is definitely a solid option on Bourbon Street. The fried shrimp were a solid 8/10--very fresh, plump, and cooked just right. The fries were crispy, light, and well seasoned. I also tried the gator bites and definitely recommend getting them fried instead of blackened. One thing I noticed while visiting New Orleans is that many restaurants on Bourbon Street seem to have very similar menus and drinks, so don't expect this place to be dramatically different from its neighbors. That said, the food here was fresh, the service was good, and it hit the spot late at night. If you're looking for a dependable late-night meal on Bourbon Street, Mambo's is worth a stop.

Went here during my trip to New Orleans for Southern Decadence last September--first time in NOLA. Me and two friends split off from the group and were just wandering the French Quarter looking for something that felt authentic but still a little different. Stumbled on Mambo's, checked out the menu outside, and decided to go for it. They've got a solid mix--fried alligator, rice dishes, all that--but the server told us about a special that ended up being the best thing I ate the whole trip. It was this shrimp pasta with either Alfredo or a spicy Cajun sauce, over fried fish (don't even remember what kind, I just know it hit). Only L is I went back on my last day craving it and the special had changed But yeah--big space, good music, great energy, and honestly you can't really go wrong with the food. Definitely worth it.

Late night meal, I chose the Gumbo and I was not disappointed! Rich, hearty, flavorful with the right amount of spice to it. Pleasant looking restaurant with character and helpful service made this a very enjoyable experience.

My review is a little late, but better late than never! On February 16th, after our jazz cruise, we decided to grab something to eat on Bourbon Street. After walking around and checking out a few menus, we ended up choosing Mambo's. I already knew I wanted Mambo's Famous Oysters, and let me just say... they were out of this world good! My boyfriend ordered the gator tail bites, and he really enjoyed them too. We had previously gone to Fiery Crab, and he said Mambo's gator bites were way better. The vibe was really nice, and what stood out to me was that the manager actually came over to our table, introduced himself, and checked on us. That level of customer service really shows they care about their guests. We didn't make it up to the rooftop this time, but it's definitely on my list for our next visit. I'm also excited to try more items on the menu, everything looks so tasty!

Ok, I'm a little late with this review--I started it and never finished. Shoutout to Yelp for that draft section I just discovered! While strolling down Bourbon Street, we decided to grab dinner and ended up at Mambo's--and I'm so glad we did! It's a multi-level spot, and we dined on the second floor. The vibe was vibrant, unique, and full of that authentic New Orleans energy. I've heard there's a rooftop bar too, but we didn't make it up there this time. Now let's talk about the food--SO good! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and full of that classic New Orleans taste I've really come to love. And the drinks? Definitely doing what they needed to do! The service was excellent from start to finish, which always makes the experience even better. If you're on Bourbon Street, Mambo's is definitely worth a stop. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in NOLA!

It's worth waiting in the line! Good thing we beat the rush. We were already in when we saw that the line was building up. Thanks to Dominique our server for being quick to get our order. But the food didn't get served right away that's why the fries were kinda not that crispy hot anymore. But it's still okay. Now, the crab cake... wow... love it!!!! It's topped with gravy. I don't know what's in the gravy but my oh my... i was thinking is that the Louisiana way of crab cake.... love it!!! There were 2 crab cakes, enough for sharing. The salad for my hubby came out great too... and paired it , sangria ... perfect day to end your night!

This place was incredible. I was only visiting for three days, and we ended up coming here twice because nothing else compared. We tried a few other spots, but this restaurant stood out in every way. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Our favorites were the crawfish étouffée and the gator bites. My husband said the pecan pie was the best he's ever had, and I felt the same way about the bread pudding. A special shoutout to our waitress, Deshanna, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. She truly made our experience even better. If you have the chance to be seated in her section, you're in great hands -- and be sure to show her some extra kindness because she'll make you feel right at home.

It was one of the most yummiest mac n cheese, I've tried. We also had the greens that were also yummy but a little salty for my taste, still I would return just to eat those. The corn bread was amazing, I was so happy with the texture, as it was not dry. My husband highly enjoyed the mashed sweet potato, they were his favorite as he enjoys sweets. The fried chicken left me wanting more, however, the ribs were not my favorite although they were tender, and had a good tangy flavor. I should have taken a picture of our plates because there was no leftovers. We had lemonade and the sweetest of teas. Honestly I highly enjoyed our meals The service was amazing, and super friendly. I also took an amazing peach bread pudding to go. The restaurant was golden and welcoming, they even asked if we wanted our table candle lit. Thank you to the ladies at Susie's. It was great.
