Run by kids, I think I saw someone who might have been owner/manager schmoozing with some locals. Very disorganized, no one knew what was going on, saw an employee sneezing openly at the prep area (won't be back just for that), pizza was undercooked, not what I expected from this franchise. But, that's what has become the HEB mantra. Bad service from kids who think they're special, food that's subpar, and management/owners who don't really care. So many better pizza places to go, I kick myself for wasting my time with this place. read more

The staff was freiendly, but the buffet pizza was really bad. Not much of a selection and was room tempature and tasted like it had been sitting there for days read more

Warning - do not try to place your order online or via the app! Too bad this location cannot get an order correct or on time. We're done. We love Mama's Pizza, but we don't keep giving a business our money when they continually screw up. We've had 3 bad experiences here in the last few months. Apparently, it is useless to order on the app or online. Either they ignore the order, choose not to make the order, or they make it wrong. Each time, we're left waiting for 30 mins to an hour for them to make it (after placing the order 30 mins prior before leaving the house). Yesterday was the last straw. Placed a $90 order online and received confirmation. We arrive 30 minutes after placing the order, 2 of our 4 pizzas have been made. They gave every excuse as to why the other 2 had not been made. After all the problems in the store, we arrive home and find that only 1 pizza was correct - 3 pizzas were wrong! We will not drive 30 minutes, pay these high prices, have our orders ignored, and then not be reimbursed for having the wrong orders! Good-bye! read more

We have been die-hard Mama's fans for 40 years! 3 stars because the girl who took the order tonight was super enthusiastic but didn't listen. Usually they are very accommodating, but not so much lately. We have ordered the Tuesday/Wednesday special many times and they have let us order an extra topping or change something. Not tonight! So I guess we will go down the street to bosses, pretty close anyway and they are flexible. read more

The worse pizza spot I've ever eaten at. DO NOT waste your time here. There is a mooyah, and a chipotle next door that will treat you, and your stomach better. First off I was inside for 45 minutes before I got my pizza, there were two other people one just sitting at the bar and one I guess called ahead. Then soon after people starting strolling on in, and everyone of them got their pizza before me. I was late to my movie, and the place seemed to be ran by a bunch of moronic 16 year olds that could care less that they unconvinced you. On top of all that, being annoyed and forgotten, the pizza was just bad, falling apart, and tasted like a Walmart take and bake. Very very very annoying. Skip right over this garbage. read more

I grew up on Mama's Pizza, and it's still my favorite. The crust is so buttery and soft, and the variety of toppings is great. This was our first visit to this location, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back again! read more

Salad was the worst ever; not that it was bad but it was simply lettuce and 2 tomatoes...really? How is that a salad? Pizza had a good flavor, the crust was thin and crunchy. Friendly staff and pretty clean. I'll be back but I won't be ordering the salad. read more

I love pizza and have been going to this location since they opened. I would be very skeptical of the one and two star ratings. I know that food tastes are subjective, but I have never had a pizza here worthy of one or two stars. During dinner time, they do a lot of carry out orders so plan for at least 30 minutes for your pizza. The pizza is great and the dough is made fresh. read more

We had a long day and were trying to decide what to eat when we passed by and gave this place a try. I was a little nervous and felt bad about coming in 30 minutes before closing but the staff was extremely friendly and did not seem annoyed. My son and I split a small pizza and they were not stingy on the extra cheese! It wasnt the best pizza, but definitely better than most places around here and the service was great. We will be returning next time we feel like pizza! read more

Decent pizza, but not great. I ordered a large pepperoni for pick-up. Lots of cheese made up for the minimal sauce, bland crust, and mediocre pepperoni. Slices were cut extremely thin. I would buy again, but not a first choice. Staff was friendly and pleasant. read more

First time at this location, I very much prefer the Fielder Rd location in Arlington. I tried the buffet, pizza was very lukewarm but tasty, salad was good, cinnamon rolls were not warm at all & too doughy. It's not the same Mama's as I remember, not enough butter & garlic on the crust! Place was very clean but also almost out of toilet paper in the rest room! read more

Mama's pizza reminds me a lot of Cici's, except the quality's a tad better. It's not the best pizza, nor is it the worst (hence the 3 stars). I will admit that the service is top-notch and nice, and they keep the restaurant as clean as possible. As for the pizza itself, the crust is buttery and crispy, if you're into that type of pizza. read more

Did not like the experience, pizza crust was burnt, not a very big selection of pizza options

Best pizza in town. This location is diner style with a clean, new, and family friendly atmosphere. If you haven't had Mama's Pizza before, do yourself a favor try it. The pizza is high quality, very cheesy, great herb and buttered crust, and not too greasy. Just right! read more

Avoid!! 35-40 min for a small pizza!! Everyone in the store waiting and waiting and waiting..... Amazing how the staff walks out and yells a name and then takes the food back in the kitchen when no one answers. Worst way of tracking and delivering orders I've ever seen. Pizza is 50% crust read more

Their combo pizza is my favorite. I would give this place 5 stars but their sandwiches aren't that great and neither are their wings. Stick with the pizza and you'll be happy. read more

We are so glad that there is finally a good pizza place in the area. Have been to this location about 4 times since it has opened, and the pizza is as good as their other locations, meaning better than anywhere else around here. Went in with 20 minutes left in the buffet and they were still putting fresh pizzas out there, and continued to do so while the buffet folks were still eating. Great pizza and friendly people. read more

This is not the qaulity of pizza that Mama's of yesterday used to make, It is comparable to what you would get at Pizza Inn, I would not recommend the buffet, it is mediocre at best....they do have a decent salad bar though, for decent pizza at a reasonable price, drive a mile east and eat at Pizza Garden in Bedford, far superior. read more

I've ordered a number of pizzas from here, and they've all been good. Personally I prefer the thin crust version, over the regular crust, but they are both good. read more

Meh is about all I can say about the pizza at Mama's in NRH. The place is nice inside and looks like the type of place I would keep coming back to, but for me, the pizza was a little too expensive and the taste was just a little too average to get my repeat business. Took about 30 minutes for them to cook my order - 2 pizzas and wings. The staff was very friendly though. read more

Came here for the first time today...not pleased. It's Run by children. Took 30 minutes for a crappy medium pizza to come out. Pizza was bland. Wasted $18 and I would have rather gone somewhere else. Won't be coming back. read more

We went here on a whim, & I regret it. When I first when in the door, the smell seemed weird to me. I should've turned away then. The only thing I liked about the pizza was that they brought it out hot & the crust was nice & crisp. The rest of the pizza tasted off to me though. I don't know if it was the cheese or sauce, but it was enough to make me not want to come back. The restaurant was clean, however. Which is a plus. Didn't really have a fun atmosphere though. read more

Love the fact that that offer a gluten free pizza, but overall they are way overpriced (even with a coupon). Also, like the fact that they keep the place clean, but for goodness sake's, wait until closing time after all the customers are gone to use these highly fragrant cleaning products!!! I am extremely sensitive to smell and the continued use of the highly fragranced cleaning products just RUINS the dine in experience in every way. read more

This is the worst , the worst pizza and salad bar ever, pizza taste bad looks bad , salad bar , I told them carrots looked old, and the girl replied , your probably right , I will remove them . Now the people that work there were nice but they need to do some big time changing , and I didn't want to give them a star at all , but I could get it to say zero read more

The service here has always been exceptional! I customize my pizza everytime and have never had a complaint.. Its always piping hot. Enjoy a drink while you wait. read more

Their pizza is AMAZING!!!! But their staff always seem to be board but friendly to my family. Plus my mother enjoys the free beer.

Mama's Pizza has been part of the Fort Worth restaurant scene for a long time. We visited this location for take-out only. We would normally order at the counter and have a draft beer while waiting on our order to be finished. Mama's pizza is a good pizza though the crust is a littler thicker than I like. The toppings seem always fresh. read more

Best pizza we've had in the area. Service was quick. Great music. We will be back!! Hot and fresh.

This has got to be the worst Mama's pizza ever. I came in on Tuesday for the buffet. There was was hardly anything on the buffet. What few pieces were there has mushrooms. I asked for something with Canadian bacon which they said would come out in few minutes 30 minutes later - still no pizza! Actually one star was too good. read more

Good pizza the place is always clean the staff is always friendly I recommend it to my friends. It's not New York pizza but it does have its own unique flavor. read more

great food meet up with some friends the pizza sizes where huge and so hot fresh and delicious pizza

Mamas pizza has forever stole my heart! Best pizza ever and I will definantly be back!!

Hot dog did this place really disappoint. Eek! Methinks super pass. I'd hate to be the owner of this fiasco unless they are laundering money. Pizza at Kroger nearby in the frozen section is comparable and a tenth of the price. Service was horrible and rude. Pizza took forever to get. Wish I never got it actually. Burnt and greasy. How you can accomplish that feat amazes me. Only reason for the second star. STAY AWAY unless you don't care about money and your health. read more

Totally shocked at some of the poor reviews. I'm from Chicago.....where they know how to make real pizza. Mama's Pizza is the closest I've found in Texas to the real thing. Tastes like real pizza, not those "chain" style pizzas. Maybe I'm the lucky one, but when I buy here I get great ingredients and lots of 'em. Very happy the expanded here to this area. Not the cheapest around, but certainly the best value for what you get!!! read more

Awesome pizza, I come back constantly and yet it always seems as good as my first bite! Staff is extremely friendly and they always seem to have some sale going. read more

Though we like the cheese pizza here, the wait, price, and customer service is the pits. We went in on a Friday night, and there were seven other tables full, most of them already with pizza on the table. We paid for our pizza, and sat down to wait. The manager kept coming out of the kitchen chewing on food. We watched him do this three times in plain view of all of the guests...so gross. We watched four other pizzas arrive; three of which had walked up and ordered AFTER we did. We waited for 30 minutes for our pizza before walking up to ask what was taking so long. They had zero record of our order...totally lost the ticket. The manager approached us (he told us then that he was the g.m.) and told us that they had never been this busy before. There was no apology, no sense of urgency to make us happy, just excuses for how busy they were. He couldn't even figure out how to give a refund on his own cash register, and we had to wait a long time to even get our money back. He leaned over the counter and said in a hush-hush voice to see him again and if he was there, he would hook us up. Why does that need to be on the downlow? It's called throw some money on a gift card for next time, apologize, and retain the service. The attempt to rectify the horrible experience was pathetic. We will not be giving them another shot. read more

Yelp forces me to give 1 star which is more than this place deserves. Absolutely the worst! Should have read the reviews here first. My husband and I decided to try the closer location (than TCU) and it was horrible. Paper plates, plastic forks, no napkins (waitress handing out paper towels) and the salad bar was out of anything "salad" except lettuce and cheap bacon-bits. Waited for an hour for a requested plain pepperoni pizza - which never came before we decided to leave...not even that many people came in for it to be such dismal service. The entire visit was so below par we just wanted to leave - should have requested a refund but decided there was no way the staff could not have realized the shortcomings and chose to get out of there! Way way way below par for what Mama's has been for years! Very disappointed and even more so that Mama's corporate would allow such sub-standard quality to be associated with the name. read more

I have come for the lunch buffet on several occasions and have enjoyed it every time. The selection can get low during the busy time, but they are usually quick to get more pizza out. Not a big salad bar guy so I pass on that. Service has always been friendly. Mostly young people working. read more

Love, love, love this pizza! My favorite place for pizza---never disappoints. Great pizza, very good customer service!

Had a coupon for the buffet lunch. $9 on a weekday plus $2 for a drink, plus tax! Way overpriced. Pizza crust was really thick and underdone, and toppings thin and minimal and not "toasty" but undercooked and gooey. New ownership so I thought it might be better. Way overpriced for what we got. There are _much_ better pizza buffets in the area for about 1/2 the price. Won't be going back. read more
