I have been going to Mama's Pizza since the 90s. The thing i loved most was the uniquely garlicky flavor of the pizza on top of the quality of the ingredients and the crispy crust with the perfect amount of edge. I have tried this location several times and only once did the pizza taste like it used to when I'd eat it on the west side of Fort Worth. I wish I could give more stars because the people there are always friendly and the store is always clean. It's also located in a nice area with lots of other shops around. When my DH got home with the pizza it didn't really have extra cheese or much red onion and was charged a .25 take out fee plus .51 for the extra cheese. Wow! It's not an inexpensive pizza in the first place. I feel that maybe I was charged extra because I had a coupon. It's good pizza but that is bad business if you want repeat customers. I have only lived in the area 8 months but I go there so much that when my wife gives me directions somewhere, she always gives them in reference to Mama's Pizza... i.e. "You just drive like you're going to Mama's Pizza, but keep going a little ways past that and take a right." Their manager during the day is always super cool. She remembers me by name, and often remembers my usual order better than I do. I recommend getting their pizza with extra sauce. This place is starting to grow on me. The area here is in bad need of a good Pizza place for all the college kids nearby. This is the first time I've tried the lunch Buffet and am glad to report it is excellent. Plenty of pizzas out and a good variety. The sofa fountain has better than average tasting drinks as well, this place has figured out the carbonation secret ! I was raised on Mamas Pizza. But we've given up. Last few times we've ordered they give us regular crust instead of thin. The regular crust is tough, and has a peculiar taste, like it's frozen or old? Sunday I ordered pizzas to take to a group gathering. Ordered both thin crust, one meat lover and one veggie lover. Neither pizza had ANY sauce on them, the veggie had maybe 4 pieces of mushrooms, no visible onions, no black olives, and about a pound of green olives. I was embarrassed when we started eating. Never again. I haven't been to any other locations lately but this store has had a struggle providing the REAL Mamas Pizza that I've had for 40 years. I've loved Mama's Pizza since i was a teenager and have eaten at just about every location (including a few that have since closed). I take my kids here often and we always enjoy ourselves. The pizza is consistently good and the staff is always friendly. If I have one complaint it's that they've recently changed their cheesesticks. When we first started eating here, the cheesesticks were the same as they've always been across the different locations. They've changed the crust (it's thinner) and started cutting them in squares vs. in longer slices. I know, it's picky. Just odd that they changed them after all these years. I prefer the "old" way. The buffet had 2 pizzas max on it today before they were devoured. In my past experience as a cook, we had to keep 3-4 pizzas in rotation at all times?? I know you can't possibly know how busy it could get, but with only one cook and one girl out front (where is your manager?) I can see how easy it is to get backed up. Also, since the cashier went back and barked at the cook for not having any pizzas out, he bricked them way too fast, so we basically waited for burnt pizza with unappetizing toppings. I've came here several times on my lunch break and every time the lady in the front is rude. I love Mama's pizza and prefer the one off fielder in Arlington due to better customer service. The food here is great but the service is very tacky. Not to mention there is never anybody in here the times I've went. Your website mentions the lunch buffet multiple times, but not that it is only Monday thru Saturday. Warning - do not try to place your order online or via the app! Too bad this location cannot get an order correct or on time. We're done. We love Mama's Pizza, but we don't keep giving a business our money when they continually screw up. We've had 3 bad experiences here in the last few months. Apparently, it is useless to order on the app or online. Either they ignore the order, choose not to make the order, or they make it wrong. Each time, we're left waiting for 30 mins to an hour for them to make it (after placing the order 30 mins prior before leaving the house). Yesterday was the last straw. Placed a $90 order online and received confirmation. We arrive 30 minutes after placing the order, 2 of our 4 pizzas have been made. They gave every excuse as to why the other 2 had not been made. After all the problems in the store, we arrive home and find that only 1 pizza was correct - 3 pizzas were wrong! We will not drive 30 minutes, pay these high prices, have our orders ignored, and then not be reimbursed for having the wrong orders! Good-bye! read more

Run by kids, I think I saw someone who might have been owner/manager schmoozing with some locals. Very disorganized, no one knew what was going on, saw an employee sneezing openly at the prep area (won't be back just for that), pizza was undercooked, not what I expected from this franchise. But, that's what has become the HEB mantra. Bad service from kids who think they're special, food that's subpar, and management/owners who don't really care.
