We had plans to try Mama's pizza that fell through so we opted to come during their week day lunch to try it on our own. The staff is really helpful; and nice. The salad buffet is decent enough. The pizza is is honestly on the greasy side. While I liked the crust, the grease made the bottom an interesting texture. The cheese is a thinker mozzarella than I can remember having at another and with the amount of it with the grease I didn't care for it. I likely wouldn't come back unless one of our friends push for this to be the dinner choice. read more

Got a large Canadian bacon, bacon, and mushrooms. Toppings were plentiful and fresh. Crust was crunchy and tasty. Baked well as asked. Still the best. read more

Originally we had planned to come here as a group for dinner before going to an event with friends; but found out their buffet was weekday lunch only. So my wife & I decided to try it out based on one of the friend's suggestion. Staff was friendly. The size of the buffet isn't as big as Cici's but on par for something like mountain mikes with 3-4 pizzas out at a time with a decent sized amount of options for salad bar. The pizza itself; the crust was really good as they add some sort of garlic butter on to it. The cheese is thicker than what most places use; and can tend to make the pizza greasier. My wife ended up pulling most of the cheese off of her pizza. We won't say no if the particular friend really wants to go; but we likely won't go again of our own choosing. read more

I haven't eaten at a mamas pizza I would say in over 30 years or so.I used to love mamas pizza back in the day.Unfortunately this mamas pizza is totally different. My buddy at work said something about going to mamas pizza on Saturday at noon for the buffet.I said yeah I will meet you up there.Well I got up there at noon and my buddy and his wife were already here.So you basically go to the register and pay 15 bucks for the buffet and a drink. As I looked at the pizza they had a pretty good selection and if you wanted something you just had to ask for it.They also had a pretty solid salad bar.So my first round I got about two or three slices of pizza. As I was eating it and looked at it I was disappointed. The crust was just too much for me.It was basically a thick hand tossed and the end of the crust was really thick.Just a lot of dough.Im more of a thin/NY style crust.Well after I ate a couple more slices I got a small plate of salad. Then that was it for me.I would say if you're near by this place give it a shot see what you think? To me it was just too much dough for me and the pizza was just mediocre. Its definitely not the mama's pizza i remember.Probably wouldn't make the trip back.Might try Mr Gatti's next and see how fair now. read more

While my daughter and I were at False Idol brewery we decided to order pizza. Mama's is always my choice and it didn't disappoint. Such a generous amount of mushrooms and green peppers; both fresh and tasty. Next time I will ask about adding garlic butter to the crust like the original recipe. I haven't been to the location but will check it out next time I'm in the area. read more

The most disappointing pizza experience. I was really looking forward to trying Mama's Pizza, but my experience wasn't great. The crust was way too thick, almost doughy, and took away from the rest of the pizza. On top of that, my order wasn't correct when I picked it up, which was frustrating. For the price, I expected better attention to detail. Unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back anytime soon!!!! read more

I must say, usually my experiences with pizza are good ones. Unfortunately, this trip to Mama's Pizza in Keller was not a good one. When we arrived we both ordered the buffet. After we paid, we received a small plate for the salad bar and a larger plate for the pizza. They serve Pepsi products, so not a big fan of that, but what I removed one star for was we're asked if we would like and special pizza, we said yes! I asked for pepperoni (there was none out) and also for a veggie pizza (there was none out). When we went up to get pizza, there were only 3 pies out, 1/2 or more gone and they were some bizarre choices out, so thinking that the pizza we wanted would be out soon, we turned to the salad bar. Well, the lettuce was not cut well, it was pretty limp, so not super fresh and the rest of the toppings were ok. The ranch dressing was not good. 30 minutes later as we were about to leave, they finally brought out a pepperoni pizza, but we never did see the veggie pizza. The pizza itself was ok, but I took off a second star for the salad bar and a third star as there seemed to be no sense of urgency or caring about the buffet. Not like other pizza buffets where they have many different flavors and styles, thin, regular and pan, etc. The place itself was ok, but smaller than expected. They had a game room that seemed to take up about a 1/3 of the space. In any case, I would not recommend the buffet at all and if you want great pizza, there are many other places very close by for you to choose from. I will not be back. read more

We did not order this ourselves but had at a friend's house on game night and man, this was as good or better than any pizza I've had in a long time. I recently moved from Fort Worth to Bedford, and was disappointed that I wouldn't be able to get mama's pizza anymore... Then stumbled across this location. It delivers to Bedford from North Richland Hills, and still stands up to the quality I expect from mama's. I am never disappointed when I order my pizza with extra green olives and find it completely covered. Their thin crust isn't necessarily as thin as some traditional pizza places, but still my favorite. read more

Mama's Pizza - Toppings just slide off when picked up. - Pizza Near Me - Hurst, Texas

For my son's birthday yesterday we decided to try Mama's Pizza. When I went to order online they offer a text message coupon, however that never came. I contacted the store and they stated they would not be able to discount my $70 order and could do nothing to get the system to send me the discount. I accepted it and decided if the pizza was good it would be worth it. We ordered a 20' supreme, breadsticks, and an Italian salad. The pizza was soggy on the bottom and the crust was dry, and everything was cold when it arrived. The breadsticks are flat, hard, and nothing more than rolled dough with a bit seasoning on them. The salad was well nothing more than iceberg lettuce, some pepperonis, and cheese. If you want great NY style pizza save your money and order from Valentino's Pizza 518 Bedford Rd, Bedford, TX 76022 or if you are in Fort Worth ITALY PASTA & PIZZA, 800 East Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX 76112. Both of these establishments continuously offer great NY style pizza and other delicious options. read more

I really, really wanted to love the pizza at Mama's. I come here often to pick up orders when I do food delivery, and am generally greeted with a smile and the pizza always smells amazing. However, when my husband and I tried it this past week, we were unfortunately just very underwhelmed. First, there was almost no one there at lunch time on a Saturday, which is odd and a little bit of a red flag, although we did see some people coming in to pick up instead of eating in. However, our 2 small pizzas took 40 minutes to come out. 40. Minutes. I'm not sure what happened, but by the time our pizzas came out we were absolutely starving and looking forward to some seriously good eats. What we tasted was just...meh. It wasn't bad pizza by any means, don't get me wrong. The toppings are generous, but there just wasn't a lot of flavor to any of it, not the sauce, nor cheese, nor the crust tasted like much. We did take home 1/2 of each pizza, but unfortunately the pizza did not reheat well at all and ended up in the trash. The staff at Mama's are super nice, so I hate to leave this less-than-stellar review, but I feel obligated to put my experience out there. Sadly, we won't be back to eat any pizza here since there are better places to get pizza nearby. read more

NRH location is a huge disappointment. You order thin crust expecting some amount of crispiness, but no. Just soggy crust. Even putting in oven at home can crisp it enough without burning the toppings. Speaking of toppings, they are scarce and not spread across the pizza. So you better hope your family members enjoy just cheese. They can't even cut the pizza evenly. You get a few HUGE pieces and the rest are tiny. Don't spend your hard earned money here folks! read more

We ordered delivery from this Mama's when I was visiting at my parent's house. I really like this pizza chain. It feels really old school inside, the staff is cool and casual, everything is very simple and low key. Sometimes they even have old arcade games. Nothing fancy is going on here, it's classic pizza, wings, and beer. I know Mama's specializes in an "east coast" style crust, but they have a great gluten free crust too. It's always cooked through, never raw or too doughy in the middle. Mama's also puts plenty of cheese and toppings on your pizza! I think the quality and consistency is great and the price is affordable. If you haven't given Mama's a shot yet, you really should! read more

Place is dead. This is called first clue. Nope it's not covid!! Is there a difference in the crust? No. Tells me, pre-made crust., so don't bother asking for either, you will get what you get. Cheese is so thick on one pizza it looked like a slab of cheese. Little to no tomato sauce on the other pizza. We chose to come here and were fed, so they get 2 stars for feeding us, eventually. Very slow service. Put it this way: Gordon Ramsey i.e. Kitchen Nightmares would love this place for a good show... Skip this Mammas, save $30, or buy homemade crust and bake at home!! read more

My nostalgia and faith have returned! I wrote a review of this place a few years back, giving it a 3 star rating. It was a sum of little changes to what I was used to that gave it a mediocre review. Well, after hemming and hawing, I finally ordered from here again, and I'm so glad I did! Everything is *almost* how it used to be back in its heyday. I say 'almost' because, while the garlic butter crust is back, could be a little bit more button on the crust. But I'm not complaining too much as I am currently shoveling down my sausage and mushroom medium down my gullet as I type this. Decor inside is still a bit lacking, but this has no effect on my review as this is about the food. Staff was friendly to boot, which is always a plus! Welcome back, Mama's! I missed you. read more

Mixed feelings in this place. Staff was nice, beers were reasonable priced... the flavor on my pizza was good, but I think my pizza was made by a blind person! I got a small pie to go, and it was all dough! I've never seen so much 'crust' on a pizza in my life. It was really expensive for what I got as well. It was like $11 or so for a 'small' with 3 toppings. More expensive and smaller portion than getting a couple single slices from Carmines on Spring Valley in North Dallas. read more

I have loved Mama's Pizza since my college days at the Rosedale store. I have been to the NRH location a number of times. Ordered takeout for the first time tonight (because of Covid-19) and was very disappointed. The pizza was lukewarm and not as tasty as usual. The spices sprinkled on top seemed old and even had a few hard pieces. But the biggest disappointment were the breadsticks; they were nothing more than a very thin pizza crust. Not the thick, cushy, chewy breadsticks I remember so fondly. read more

When we arrived here, there were about 4 pizzas on the warming/serving table. Some had been very much picked over. They were not very appetizing. I inquired if there would be more coming out. "Oh yes!" I waited and waited and waited. I ended up eating those that had been sitting there but eventually "new" ones were brought out. Not much of an improvement. We have eaten there a couple times and have always been very happy. Yesterday was very different. We won't be back. read more

Going to have to let this place go. Sad. Not a good day for the buffet. Got there at noon on a Tuesday. Bought the buffet. Sad buffet was just scraps of dead slices of pizza. I'm thinking they've got to be bringing fresh pizza out any minute. After about a half hour, nothing. Absolutely not because they were short staffed. The few people that were there were kind of just standing around. After waiting about a half an hour, a large group of about 10 people came in. All order the buffet. Ultimately shook my head got up and walked out. $12 for two slices of dead pizza and a diet Pepsi. read more

My husband and I ate here for the first time last night. The pizza was okay, but nothing special. The crust got soggy quickly, which was unappetizing. When we went to get our drinks, the soda machine was dirty, and the part that you push your cup against to get ice was covered in different colored sodas and other stuff. It looked like it hadn't been wiped down in days. We got there at 6pm on a Saturday, so I'm sure they had been really busy, and possibly short handed like many restaurants are these days. That's the reason I'm giving them 3 stars. read more

So excited when I moved to Hometown in NRH to find a Mama's Pizza so close. They have been my favorite pizza for at least 30 years but have lived in an area where there wasn't a convenient store. I have tried this one in NRH 3 times now and today was my last. I ordered wings (which must have come from chicks they were so small) and don't waste your money on any kind of sub sandwich which was awful....no dressing, sauce, mayo, mustard...just dry bread, 3 small pieces of pepperoni, less than half an ounce of ham. Pizza was wrong, left off two toppings and cheese bread was nothing like it used to be.The first two times I thought they must be having an off day and then against my better judgement, I tried it a third. Should have quit at #2. read more
