I had to walk out. My salad was horrible. If you run out of Gluten Free pasta, don't make the decision to bring what ever you want the customer to have. Instead, come back and ask the customer if the prefer something else. They even went as far as to forgot to put my daughter's pizza order in. The AC in the rear area of the restaurant was on blast and I asked politely if they could lower it or turn it off, to which they completely ignored my request. There was no need for the AC to be on. I wanted to like this spot more, but the slow service was just too painful. Had dinner for 4 on a Saturday night around 8. The place was jammed, but there was TONS of staff around, way too many standing around. Our server was OK, sort of tried to be friendly, but our dinner took over an hour to arrive and when it did, it wasn't hot, but warm. It was already too late and I was too tired to complain, but I remember thinking, once was a enough. I was disappointed because the reviews had me thinking this was a can't go wrong choice. We had a long day in the cold after my brother proposed to his fiancé, and wanted to find a place to go that had outdoor dining in a heated setting. From the hosts, the servers, and the manager/owner, everyone truly worked to make this night another special part of the experience, especially since this day was an important day for our family! Today is our 4th wedding anniversary! Since we couldn't go out due to the pandemic, we decided to try Mama's for the first time and had them deliver. My husband ordered the Chicken Fresco Duet and I had the Chicken DiSorrono Duet (with Pear/Gorgonzola purses). OMG! What a delicious meal! We drove an hour to get to this place and it's more than worth it! The food is fresh and delicious, but most importantly to us, there are amazing gluten free, vegetarian, and pescatarian options. They have a full menu for each of these, as well as a vegan menu and a regular menu. Not just a few choices - full menus. This was my and my husbands first time here, but my daughter had come with friends twice before, right after she was diagnosed with Celiac. And I loved that they put a cute little sign on the table so that there was absolutelyNO chance they would serve her gluten. I can't tell you how wonderful that peace of mind is. I LOVE that you can get a "duet" meal- 2 different dishes for your entree. I got the Pear Purse and the Eggplant Pisa from the Vegetarian menu, my daughter got the Eggplant Sienna and Lobster Ravioli from the Gluten free menu and my husband got the Stromboli from the regular menu. Everything was delicious- I can't rave enough about the Pear purses! We also had gluten free mozzarella sticks, which were a surprising treat...the mozzarella was so fresh and even buttery tasting....not the usual tough or stringy stuff. We also got dessert- even though we were stuffed. There were a lot of gluten free choices for dessert too, which is rare. Probably the best Italian food I've ever had! Portions are huge and customer service is great. The meal came with bread with an olive oil garlic sauce om the side. We also got the opportunity to sample a pasta dish (Alfredo sauce with sundried tomatoes). The pasta sauce reminded me of pepper jack cheese. I ordered a chicken toscana with whole wheat penne. It came in a massive dish with 2 pieces of chicken. I was only able to finish half my dish. Total came out to be a bit over $24 (including tax and the $2 charge for whole wheat pasta) but with tip, it was closer to $30. Would I recommend? Yes! What an tremendous blessing to have discovered this place! It's family run and food allergen friendly. As someone with celiac disease, I have found that many places advertise being gluten friendly but are not knowledgeable about being truly celiac safe. The extensive menu and kind hearted experience with the owner, head chef, and waitress, brought tears to my eyes. Anyone suffering the plight of food allergies (or on a vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free diet) can rest assured that when you dine at MAMA'S, your food will be lovingly prepared by chefs that take allergies seriously. Anything gluten free is prepared in advanced in a kitchen without any cross-contamination. They have specific fryers for things like fried calamari (AMAZING!), mozzarella sticks (SO cheesy!), or fresh fried zucchini (fantastic flavor!) AND designated water for the gluten free pastas (which are made from scratch - as are the warmly served rolls!). If you happen to have room after delighting in the generous portions and are hungry for dessert (or want to take some home for later), I recommend a sweet duet (gluten free cannoli paired with a flourless chocolate cake). Tony and all the staff operate with love. When you come here, it's not just about the food, it's coming home to your family! Happy ambiance, five star hospitality, and best of all....the main ingredient is LOVE. My only regret is that I could not eat more. New goal is to sample their entire menu. Given their attempts to meet most dietary restrictions I was surprised they served enriched flour. Good for catering if you are throwing an event, however, one time I ordered an antipasto and they put it on a platter so big it wouldn't fit in my fridge! Quite possibly the most memorable, delicious, thoughtful dining experience I've ever had. The food blew us away, everything was perfectly seasoned, and well cooked. The bread, the risotto, the pasta, the lasagna, the pizza, everything we tried blew us away. What truly makes this restaurant stand out though, is the hospitality. The hostess was nice, the servers were nice, the man making pizzas was nice, and the owner - Tom - did everything possible to make us feel like we were at home. I could write an essay on every little amazing aspect of this restaurant, but instead I think everyone should simply come eat here and see for themselves. This is pretty cheesy, but the last thing I ate before leaving the restaurant was the peanut butter cake, and it was so delicious that I decided to draw a picture of it to have a special memory of my dining experience. read more

I've been to Mama's quite a few times and it is my favorite place to go eat. I love it so much I don't even mind the 30 minute drive from my house. Every time we go it appears busy, but with the attentive service and little wait time you'd never know. The owner greets every one and even will come to the table to have a chat with you. The staff also are so pleasant! To top it all of the food is out of this world, best vodka sauce ever! For a short time I had to eat gluten free and their gluten free food is just as delicious as the usual dishes. When leaving the owner checks in with you and will sometimes give you something to leave with (tonight we got their incredible Rosa sauce!) overall the vibe is great, the place is beautiful, and the food never disappoints. I have been to Mamas many times and have always been happy. Tonight was a different experience unfortunately. We were told a 5 minute wait to eat inside. No problem. We waited 20 minutes - no problem. It was my daughter and I out for a "date night" and wanted to eat inside since it was 90 degrees at 7pm. . We saw a couple who got there after us get seated ahead of us outside. Fine, we then get taken and the hostess takes us towards outside. We said inside but we're told no tables inside. I can get over the wait time, I can't get over being passed over and then told sorry no inside seating. Two strikes tonight so we left aggravated. Get your front of house together Mamas. read more

I heard this was a vegan friendly place and I was happy, but then when I saw the extensive menu I was so happy. I have been eager to go but already in pjs we opted to order in. More bonus points for delivery! It took me a long time to decide with all of these wonderful options. I saw that it was a bit pricey overall, but I am always happy to support businesses supporting vegan lifestyles, so I was ready to splurge. I decided on vegan penne vodka (I missed that creamy goodness and know it's hard to replicate!), a vegan pizza (they were extremely accommodating and made it deep dish style as I requested), and vegan "scallops" which are made with trumpet mushrooms. The pizza was delicious but had to be nearly $30 - I accidentally didn't take my receipt with the break down of prices, but all of this was $65 which again, I was ready to splurge. However, what I was not happy with was paying $22 for the penne vodka which tastes pretty horrible. I ordered extra sauce on the side because I used to love this kind of sauce. They gladly sent some, but there was something strange about it. Not sure if it tasted off, watered Down, or what. I could not pinpoint the odd taste but definitely disappointed in spending that money on a basic pasta dish that tasted strange and nowhere near the taste I was longing for. The mushroom scallops were pretty good, though. Overall, I am still eager to go back to try the extensive menu. They definitely get an A for effort and service, but gosh... those prices and that strange taste of the vodka sauce. I'm hoping the rest of the menu is better! read more

An amazing restaurant with an owner and staff that care about the details, food and service! I travel an hour to eat here because it is worth it! My family got to enjoy catered food from Mama's Cafe Baci for Christmas in 2021 and everyone raved about it! The process for ordering and picking up the catering order was so efficient and the owner, Tom, couldn't have been nicer and more attentive to give us tips on how to reheat the meal properly to get the best results. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food is delicious and fresh. I love a restaurant where the owner really values customer experience and ensures that his staff takes care of the patrons. We love going here. Their special menus has seen me though many diets (I had to go gluten-free and dairy free on two separate occasions) & they have a ton of good menu options. Also, they are very generous, often giving free samples and coupons to us. The food is very good - they have everything from pasta to salads to pizza. Service is great as well.
