Maman is one of those cafés that instantly makes you feel like you've stepped into a charming little bakery in Paris--right in the heart of Toronto. I came for lunch and ordered the Truffle Croque Maman, and wow--it was rich, melty, and absolutely packed with flavor. The béchamel was perfectly creamy, the sourdough had a great crunch, and that subtle hit of truffle took it over the top. The space is beautifully decorated with rustic French-country vibes, cozy lighting, and vintage details. It's the kind of spot that's perfect for catching up with a friend, getting a bit of work done, or treating yourself to a slow morning.

Maman is such a cute cafe in financial district! It's a bit hidden in the plaza. I got the pumpkin spice matcha latte and it was so flavourful! Very unique. Their hot foods weren't available when we got there for some reason.

Maman is a French bakery & cafe located on the upper level food court of First Canadian Place, and offers variety of baked goods, in addition to some breakfast, and lunch options (quiches, salads, sandwiches, and soups). They are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. What I love about this place is that they serve Sloane Tea, and make some pretty good tea lattes. I've ordered the salad once, and thought it was only okay compared to other options within the building. The staff here are all friendly, and the decor is absolutely beautiful! The cafe has an elegant countryside vibe, with two large wooden communal farm tables for seating, along with wooden shelves, anqtique furniture, potted plants in various spots for decor. It's a charming little spot to sit, and relax if you have some time.

The aesthetic of this restaurant is amazing , I've always wanted to try it because of it. I tried this sandwich which was pretty tasty! A little bit on the expensive side but a great place To eat

Even before I entered, I was struck by maman's beautiful storefront and foliage. The cafe has a gorgeous blue and white theme - it reminds me of Portugal's azulejo, or China's blue and white porcelain (qing hua). The interior aesthetic has a lovely rustic charm, like an elevated farmhouse. We ordered a slice of the daily quiche, tawny salad, the truffle croque "maman" sandwich, and a lavender hot chocolate. My favourite was the sandwich (but I'm a sucker for truffle). I was a bit disappointed by the drink - I think it could've used more sweetener (maybe better as a latte?) Even though First Canadian Place was still pretty empty on Friday at lunchtime, maman had a steady flow of customers. I'll keep this shop in mind next time I'm in NYC - the locations there look even more beautiful.

Staff was very nice Flat white/excellent espresso I've never been inside this area (first Canadian), Lot of food and store options. Very clean, nice patio where I fed a tiny bird, highlight of my day.

Asthetically, this is a 5; beautiful decor, lettering, seats, presentation in the display. Food wise was a 3.5? Interesting take out spot sectioned off from the rest of the food court, with "windows" looking like you're entering a house. Inside there's some chairs shared on a long communal table. Beautiful quiche, salads, muffins, croissants, cakes on display. Whether you take it to go or for here, they give it to you in a semi plastic & paper container. I got the quiche Anna (squash and greens), for $7. Taste okay but I doubt that the crust is handmade as it looked a little too perfect. The crust also tasted like a tart crust than a pie crust. I prefer the ham and cheese version as it had more flavour. The regular croissant was crispy and sweet. Looks like ones from Paris but much denser and chewier.

Decided to stop by and grab some breakfast at Maman for the first time, as I've heard lots of good thing about this place. This cute little gem is located on the second floor of the First Canadian Place, where the food court is but on the other side. When you enter the shop it's as if you are entering a cute little rustique village cafe! I really love their decor and set up! I went around 7:30am on a Wednesday, it was really quiet so Im not sure if they get a morning rush or it's like that every morning. But they had all their pastries available so I decides to grab some croissants. They have an early bird combo until 9am, where its $4 for a plain (or chocolate) croissant and small brew coffee. I got the early bird with the chocolate croissant and I also got an almond croissant as well (because honestly it looked so good and it was just calling out to me) No regrets at all! Their croissant are so delicious and light, I was afraid that the chocolate would be too sweet for breakfast but it was not too sweet at all! The only thing was that the coffee blend was a little too sour for my liking so I had to add more cream and sugar than usual but Im sure thats only my taste. 10/10 recommend you to check this place out for your own! I cant wait to come back and try the rest of their menu items, especially their savoury items and beverage list !

Tried the Lavender Hot chocolate. It was okay. No overwhelming Lavender taste. The ambience is cute. And oh.......they do not do brunch anymore. June 30, 2017 I had the Cappucino and the Blueberry bread. Both are expensive but the Blueberry loaf was really flavourful. I tasted the Pistachio as well. I prefer the Blueberry.

This review applies to the take out dessert I have tried so far. First off its a welcome relief for the people who have access to the PATH network. There is a dearth of decent dessert spots so this one is a welcome relief. The setup is nice and if their desserts a precursor I will be here for brunch. On the couple of take outs I tried the Pistachio pound cake which was just right. Nice moist and healthy dose of pistachio (was luved by all the guests) Orange was OK. The benchmark for moi croissant was decent as well. Unfortunately the cappuccino was forgetful. A good addition to the PATH I will revisit for brunch and update.

Cute cafe in the area. Parisian vibes. The lavender hot chocolate is worth the trip. They also have a loght food menu. Quiche was good but I liked the salad better.

This place is good....only if money is not an issue for you. I ordered a single serving of their caesaria salad which is their version of a Caesar salad made with chicken, kale, Parmesan, onions and croutons. The ingredients used is top notch and the combination of it makes it one of the better kale Caesar salads I have had in the city. As you can see from my photos, the serving portion is small basically consisting of 4 small pieces of chicken, about 6 leaves of kale, and then a handful of croutons with the onions and cheese. Sadly, it was done within a few bites. Even though I was craving for more, my major issue is that this cost me a total of $7.91! For that price I can get a full salad with all the fixings that will leave me satisfied and not feel like I was robbed. There is an option to get double the serving for their salads but that comes at almost double the cost. As I mentioned if money is not an issue or if work is paying for your lunch, then this is a good option. Otherwise I would pass as there are many other choices within the area at a fraction of a cost that leaves you full.
