Great service and attentive staff. I wish I could give a better rating. Ordered take out. Ordered one pie, 2 grandma slices and a rice ball. My husband and I were disappointed. Literally no sauce on the pie. Grandma slices were not good and the slices lacked sauce/plum tomatoes. The rice ball had a weird flavor. The meat was watery and peas were hard and chalky. We have been going to Mama Lisa restaurant since they where in the small shopping center. Best ala vodka sauce. The family special is our favorite. My kids where having problems in Italian and understanding what their new teacher was asking and what Google translator was suggested where two different words. The kids suggested we go visit Gaetano and Moses for help. They where so helpful the kids got a 90 on their test. Gracias! read more

The food is good and the servings are plentiful. It would be nice if they had some options for traditional American food. Service is slow paced which was fine for us because we weren't in any hurry. The wait staff is so young and inexperienced. They need a good dining room manager. It seemed completely unsupervised. Upon leaving the deserts at the counter looked so good. So I gave in and got a small price of cake. Maybe 1 1/2 inch by 4 inches. I nearly changed my mind when he said it was $5.95. 15 minutes later when I got to my hotel I tried it and it was dried out from being so old. Not hardly edible so I didn't. You'd think if you are so proud of your deserts to charge that much you'd sell it fresh. read more

This place is the absolute most amazing Italian Restaurant on Long Island. I am a world traveler and I have dined in Paris, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands (amongst other countries and cities). I NEVER had such authentic and delicious Italian food. Everyone from the hostess, the waitstaff, the manager and the owner were WONDERFULLY accomodating. Used to love the Alfredo pasta from here after the pandemic started I stopped ordering for a few months when I order again the pasta Alfredo portion size was like half that was before and the sauce taste like milk it doesn't taste like salt or cheese it's a milk sauce. My wife and I were there the other night and we had dinner and our son couldn't get off of work in time to make it there, so we ordered him to go, he just wanted spaghetti with olive oil and garlic and a piece of grilled chicken on the menu. I came to visit Long Island with a friend of mine. We had just finished driving from a long road trip & we walked in just as they were closing. The guys were kind enough to let us put in an order. We got a simple Sicilian pie (just cheese). Let me tell you something that was the best! I appreciate simple ingredients that allow the flavor to shine through. With 2 drinks it was about $20 - amazingly great price for so much food!!! The pie was fresh it was crispy, light, & refreshing. The sauce complimented everything- it didn't saturate the dough, it was just the perfect compliment. Anything else on this, for me, would have been overkill. I loved their pizza so much that I brought it home to my husband in Florida. He loved it & it traveled over 1,200 miles down the East Coast to get into his belly. This will be my first stop anytime I come back to Long Island. I'm hooked. Totally recommend it. Staff is super friendly, very personable & kept the conversation rolling while we were waiting for the pizza to get made. read more
