Food is good just make sure to get a reservation. If packed can get noisy. Take out is good as well.

Ease of ordering online is great. Delicious food, lots to choose from. Only complaint is sometimes slightly over salted on chicken dishes. Other than that we're always satisfied and have been ordering from here for years. Always friendly over the phone and at pick up. read more

I ordered the Ceasar salad and broccoli and penne a la vodka for delivery and it was the worst food i've had the misfortune to taste. The Caesar salad was overpowering with the dressing and had a really nasty taste to it, the broccoli was soggy and a disgusting, sloppy mess, and the penny à la la vodka was just indescribable. Mama Lisa is the Italian family restaurant you see on tv. My family and I came here after a long day at Waterdrinker Family Farm. Not gonna lie, I was nervous this was going to be a place where I didn't feel comfortable; but it was the complete opposite. We were warmly welcomed by AC, who basically set the tone for the rest of the evening. Moving into the food--the portions are shareable for two people! It's my brother's new favorite restaurant!! He's already told a bunch of people about it and we've been back twice so far. He had Chicken Parmigiana. It was a huge portion. Nice thick pieces of moist chicken with plenty of cheese. I had the Stuffed Shells. I was craving an overload of cheese and I got it. Again, a huge portion. The sauce on both was good. Not too chunky, not too bland, not too spicy - just the perfect red sauce layer that doesn't take away from the other ingredients. Bottomless Bread and Butter, and a Salad with your dinner too. A unexpected hidden gem in mastic. The food was fantastic and full of flavor. The portions are large with more than enough sauce on each dish. The service was good, the waitress was 10/10. However, you can see and hear the boss yelling at the busboys to fill up glasses of water and get to work. Inside the restaurant there is a pizza portion and in the back a restaurant portion. I would say it isn't a very fancy Italian restaurant and it is very loud in there when everyone is talking. Overall, I would recommend mama Lisa's for its food. Stopped here on Sunday evening, sat at the bar and had a great time. So happy to see all the gluten free options from appetizers to desserts. We shared the seafood salad with octopus and it was well worth it, so so good. I could have stopped there but I also ordered a gluten free pizza which was delicious, and they burned it exactly how I like it. (Extra extra crispy is the only way to eat gluten free pizza in my opinion! ) My boyfriend ordered the chicken saltimbocca and he loved it. He finished his meal with the chocolate cake and was not disappointed. Overall we really really enjoyed ourselves and we will be back. Went in for takeout on my lunch break. Got a slice of buffalo chicken. Quite possibly the worst buffalo chicken slice I've ever had. 7$ for a burnt slice of chicken doused in hot sauce. We ordered delivery from here after trying to choose between all the Italian spots in the area. Overall everything was excellent! We got 2 rice balls, I got a house salad and stuffed eggplant appetizer, and my boyfriend got an eggplant parm hero, his favorite. He said the hero was a touch oily and needed more sauce, but overall was very good! The rice balls were perfect! I love that they stayed crispy even after being delivered. Eggplant was excellent. Only had one bite because I was full from my rice ball and salad. Everything was reasonable. We got all of that for just over $28. Looking forward to trying more food from here. One other complaint I didn't mention of my last Review 9 days ago . One shrimp dish we ordered was strange. In the past or in all other restaurants when you order shrimp you get maybe 4 or 5 shrimp. (WHOLE SHRIMP) that wasn't the case for this visit they actually gave me 3 shrimp but they cut them perfectly in half from the head to tail. I never ever seen that before how the hell did they even find the time or spend the effort to do that. I'm thinking it's frozen shrimp that comes pre cut ? So 3 shrimp now look like 6 shrimp until you pick one up with your fork and notice it was sliced perfectly in half Geez ownership had to change over the last 3 yrs and if it didn't whats going on people ? Bland and late. Went here last night. The pizza was just okay. Nothing to write home about and the places around surrey circle could probably do better. Went here 3x in the past year for dinner. Once I remember the seafood being decent (platter for 2) the second time I got a chicken dish which needed to be sent back. The owner was very apologetic and had it fixed and packaged up as well as a comped dessert. The gnocchi (pink sauce with pork--maybe prosciutto) I had that day was really good. No complaints about that but the food took over 45 minutes to come out. The staff was really apologetic about that as well. The most recent time, I got fettuccine Alfredo which was beyond bland. It was flavorless. The garlic and salt at the pizza station added nothing to it. Even the salty Gorgonzola from my salad didn't help. The salad was good but very salty and the balsamic was mostly oil. The waitress came with cranberries which saved it. The calamari was bland. I know what the rings are made of, so I've accepted that, but the tentacles were dry, had too much batter and were completely flavorless. The marinara was too. Again, any time I'm here I'm treated with respect and the staff are courteous, but the food is very slow to come out (took about 20 minutes for plain pasta) and the food is bland. Bland. Bland. Bland. I heard it used to be better, but it's a bummer to save your appetite for no flavor payoff lol read more

I've been a regular for a few years. I'll say about 2 years, the food has slightly went down hill. Specifically, the pizza. The crust isn't as fluffy, the toppings are lighter and the bread tends to be overcooked. It's just not a hearty slice like it use to be.
