Mama flow has been such a big part of my pregnancy and postpartum journey! I feel its value even more as I did not have this support during my first pregnancy and had to deal with a lot of emotions as I navigated my postpartum. The pregnancy classes were amazing. I always felt like I was getting the right amount of movement without additional aches and pains that typically would come up post workouts. The teachers know what they're doing! For the postpartum phase I joined one of the cohorts and that was such a grounding part of my postpartum life. Having a spot every week to share my feelings and hear from other moms made a huge difference for my mental health while I was getting physically stronger and made me feel like a part of the community of amazing women experiencing this journey. I would recommend women going on this journey to get on the Mama flow train and have an amazing resource through this journey. read more

Such a great studio for yoga loving moms! I did a group class with my NMS cohort and absolutely loved it. Here are a few highlights: + Baby friendly space! They have mats, toys, diaper changing station etc. It's super welcoming, so you don't need to worry if your little one starts making noise. The instructor even comes around and offers to hold your baby (with your permission!) + Clean and super aesthetic space. All new equipment! Calm vibes! Loved it. + Amazing workout! I think I was biased to think that just because you bring your baby it wouldn't be a real workout... but it really was. I go to CorePower regularly and I was more sore from this class than my usual hot yoga. A major plus that exercises focused on your pelvic floor and all the areas you need to work on post birth. Convenient location in Willow Glen! There are 2 parking spaces in front of the studio, but I think most people do street parking. Lots of different classes to try! I'll definitely be back with my baby in tow :) read more

l As a mom, finding a welcoming and baby-friendly space can be tough, but this studio absolutely delivers. The atmosphere is calm, supportive, and completely judgment-free, which makes all the difference when you have a little one with you. The instructors are not only knowledgeable and encouraging, but also incredibly understanding of moms' needs. They create a space where you can focus on your practice while still feeling comfortable tending to your baby whenever needed. It's such a gift to be able to move, breathe, and connect with other moms in a warm and inclusive environment. If you're looking for a place that truly supports both you and your baby, this is it I also love how they have boppys, mats, and toys for your baby so you don't need to haul your entire life. read more

Mama Flow has been a perfect outlet for safe exercise throughout my pregnancy and has kept me sane since I had to stop my pre-pregnancy hot yoga classes. All of the instructors have a wealth of knowledge and are not only giving you a great work out, but are also preparing and strengthening you for labor. The classes are the perfect mix of challenge and relaxation, with different types offered to keep things fresh. Each class starts with a brief community share, and sometimes pregnancy/birthing education which makes it that much more helpful. They also have occasional workshops and sound baths! The instructors are all so kind and really take the time to get to know you and provide a supportive, inclusive environment. Highly recommend Mama Flow for your pregnancy or postpartum experience! read more

I've had a really positive experience with Mama Flow! I was nervous to get back into moving my body after an unexpected c section and complications. Cat (the owner) is so empathetic and well-versed in postpartum care. Mama Flow is an inviting, safe space to explore movement in this new chapter of my life! I love going to a studio where my name and experience are remembered. I've been taking the postpartum core and floor rehab classes and I can't recommend them enough. It's wonderful that you can bring your baby so childcare isn't a concern. They have mats and toys for babies, as well as a changing station and breastfeeding pillows. Cat has even carried around my fussy daughter while teaching class :) It doesn't hurt that the studio is super cute too! read more

I can't recommend Mama Flow enough! I started prenatal classes during my pregnancy at 10 weeks and continued throughout my pregnancy until delivery. I then came back for the 6-week postpartum series after my baby was born. I also did a few of their preparation classes, and felt super prepared for delivery. The instructor support throughout all experiences was exceptional. I always felt safe, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable about pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and they created such a welcoming, judgment-free environment that made it easy to show up exactly as I was. The postpartum series was especially valuable -- it helped me reconnect with my core, rebuild strength gradually, and feel more confident in my body again. It was also wonderful to be surrounded by other new moms who understood exactly what this season of life is like. I'm so grateful I found Mama Flow and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for supportive, expert-led prenatal and postpartum classes. read more

Couldn't be more obsessed with Mama Flow! I started going to the studio during my pregnancy and have continued postpartum as part of the 4th trimester reset program and group fitness classes. The studio is such a welcoming place for mamas to nurture, heal, and strengthen with thoughtful programming that truly supports you into motherhood and beyond. Mama flow has it all - immaculate vibes, thoughtful details that make a huge impact (i.e. a changing station for baby), and a top notch team who are all experts in their fields (i.e. doulas, pelvic floor therapists) and genuinely want to share their knowledge with you after class. Highly recommend this wonderful studio. With instructors that care deeply about their students, it's clear that Mama Flow offers more than just classes - it's a special place and community read more

I recently took a mommy and me pilates class with the Neighborhood Mamas group (shout out to Bethany for planning) and it was wonderful. Finding time to work out postpartum let alone finding someone to watch your baby is hard enough! I loved that I was able to bring my baby and have her hanging out next to me. It was amazing to be surrounded by moms that understood and going through the same season of life as I am. The owner and instructor, Cat, was great. She is so knowledgeable and caring. I felt super comfortable and the pace of the class was perfect for my fitness level which was pretty much zilch. The have all the workout necessities for mom and a cozy area to change and feed baby as well as play mats and toys for baby. You really just need to bring yourself, your baby and diaper bag! The studio is beautiful. I felt at peace in the space! Can't wait to go back soon! read more

I joined Mama Flow Studio during my pregnancy journey and I really loved their prenatal yoga classes. Each session was so calming, grounding and truly helped me connect to my body, spirit and mind as I prepare for my baby. These classes helped me relax, stay gently active, and feel more educated and confident going into birth. Now that I'm in my postpartum recovery, I'm continuing my journey with their fourth trimester reset and core rehab classes, and the support has been amazing. I feel stronger, more connected, and so grateful to have found this space. From my very first class, Cat, the founder was incredibly warm and welcoming. She has truly created such a supportive, beautiful and empowering safe safe and community for mamas. I love Mama Flow Studio and truly can't recommend it enough for any mama read more

UPDATE POST BIRTH! I've been going to Mama Flow since I was about 10 weeks pregnant for primarily the weekly prenatal yoga flow and fusion classes and it's been a great experience! Cat is so kind and knowledgeable, it was so helpful as a first time pregnant person to have a place where I felt welcomed, seen, and understood by everyone in the room. The other moms sharing their experiences during the fusion class was also helpful for me to hear that I wasn't alone in what I was experiencing. The biggest thing Mama Flow Studio gave me was a great birth experience. I stayed consistent with attending class and practicing the poses I learned in class at home and I truly think this made my delivery easier. The 3 P's class also helped my husband to know how to help me during labor and it proved to work so well in the moment! I only pushed for 30 minutes during my delivery and barely tore. I was able to recognize now to fully relax my pelvic floor and let my body do the work, and it worked! My nurses were telling the whole L&D floor about my delivery and were like "EVERYONE should do yoga and pilates in pregnancy because that was amazing!!!" LOL. So do it!! Looking forward to coming back for the post partum classes and continuing to meet amazing women in this lil mom community. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Mama Flow! They 100% deserve all the 5 star reviews they have. The only negative thing is that I wish they had been open during my first pregnancy! Mama Flow is such a welcoming space for moms and babies. I came here 4 months into my second pregnancy and I felt so much better this time around thanks to the classes Mama Flow offers. It can be hard staying active with the right exercises in the middle of pregnancy all the way until your due date but the instructors here really know what they're talking about and will help you with whatever questions you may have. I continued taking classes postpartum and brought my baby with me almost every time. I cannot think of another studio that has so much baby stuff available to keep your baby comfy and distracted, instructors willing to help carry the babies from time to time during class, and provide options so you can use your baby as a weight. They really do their best to make sure you're comfortable during the workout. I mainly took classes with Cat and Chelsea and they are both two of the loveliest people I've ever met! They're both very positive and warm, ensuring that everyone in class feels seen. I truly credit them for helping me easily turn my breached baby around (thanks to all the movement during class!), super quick delivery, and healing my diastasis recti. Even my doctor was surprised at how my ab separation was pretty much non-existent! If you're having any doubts, I highly recommend just giving it a try. I really don't think you'll find anything else this perfect for moms prenatal and postpartum. read more

I've been going to Mama Flow since I was 5 weeks pregnant, and it's become a highlight of my week. Chelsea's Zumba classes are the perfect combination of fun and a great workout. Cat's Yoga Flow classes are equally wonderful--relaxing and grounding, with great stretching and strengthening, plus a real sense of learning and community. I can't recommend this studio enough. I'm genuinely loving this part of my pregnancy :) read more

If you are pregnant or postpartum, this studio will not only help you connect to your changing body but also help you build your community of mom friends. I started taking classes when I was 24 weeks pregnant and the owner, Cat - who is so kind and patient - welcomed me into the class and helped me learn techniques to use in labor. We practiced breath work and movement that would help me build strength for my birth. Then postpartum I joined the 4th trimester reset program to learn how to use my core again and work on strengthening my pelvic floor. Cat and Chelsea really helped each mom understand how to engage our muscles and give us personalized advice. With the program being 6 weeks, I was able to get to know the moms in the class with me and having other women going through similar experiences really helped with not feeling alone postpartum. The Mama Flow studio also has events that engage with the local community and businesses for parents to get support and have fun together. Plus they also do livestreams of the classes so you can join remotely if it's too much to figure out with baby or timing to get to the studio. I am so thankful to have found this studio and I could not recommend it more. Thank you Cat for building this community! read more

I started taking classes at Mama Flow Studio during my third trimester, and it genuinely changed how I experienced both pregnancy and postpartum recovery. As a first-time mom, I wanted to stay active during my pregnancy workout routine in San Jose, but I also needed to know I was doing it safely and in a pregnancy-appropriate way. What sets Mama Flow apart from any generic fitness class is how intentional the instruction is. You learn which parts of your body you'll actually rely on during birth -- and then the postpartum classes build on that to help you heal and rebuild from the inside out. That foundation made me so much more confident returning to movement after my baby arrived. These aren't just modified exercises -- this is genuine postpartum recovery support led by instructors with specialized expertise. The community is just as valuable as the classes. Being surrounded by moms at a similar stage, in a space completely free of judgment, is something I didn't know I needed until I had it. For postpartum classes, we bring our babies along, which is incredible -- it keeps you active while also giving your baby healthy, supported exposure to the world. If your little one is fussy, the instructors and other moms are completely unfazed and totally supportive. My baby loves to look around to see what's going on and do a little socializing with other babies - then drop off for a nap. It has really helped with his socialization. My husband and I also did their birth prep class together (where I met one of my best new mom friends, learned a lot and laughed I bit) and regularly attend the Saturday Papa Walks -- a monthly event that includes partners and helps couples connect with other families. It's rare to find a prenatal yoga studio in San Jose that genuinely includes and engages dads too. If you're pregnant, newly postpartum, or somewhere in between -- don't wait. Cat and her team are amazing. read more

I wish I would've found Mama Flow sooner! I found them just in time to participate in their first 4th trimester reset at 12 weeks postpartum and what a transformative experience it was. It allowed me to gain confidence to leave the house and attend things where me and my newborn were not only welcomed but loved on. The difference workout options has been great as I was getting back to feeling like myself. Big fan of the dance cardio class since I love to dance. I'm hoping to participate in their labor/delivery prep course for our second baby when the time comes! Highly recommend if you're looking for nonjudgmental support to workout both prenatal and postpartum! read more

Mama Flow is the go-to spot for prenatal and postpartum workout classes. I started going to Mama Flow classes at 13 weeks pregnant and still love going now that I am 5 months postpartum. I think the classes truly helped prepare my mind and body for birth. The owner, Cat, does an amazing job of creating a community to help moms feel seen and supported. She is a wealth of knowledge and goes out of her way to get to know and support everyone who comes to class. I highly recommend Mama Flow classes to all new moms! read more

I started going to Mama Flow (using ClassPass) 13 weeks into my pregnancy and really enjoyed the flow and fusion classes especially the education portion of the Saturday class. After having my baby, I joined the 4th Trimester Reset program given by Cat and Chelsea which was incredibly helpful. It allowed me to safely start my core and ab rehab at just 2 weeks postpartum. In this program, Cat and Chelsea walk you though the exercises in detail and give hand-on corrections since its a small group setting. The program also helped me build confidence leaving the house alone with ny baby and I got to know a great group of moms through the 6 weeks. I enjoyed the program so much that I am now an unlimited member and plan to go to as many postpartum classes as I can for the rest of my maternity leave. Going to Mama Flow is hands down the best decision I made during my pregnancy and postpartum. It's my first recommendation for any mom to be! read more

I'm so glad to have found mama flow in my postpartum journey! The supportive environment and knowledge this place holds has played an immense role in my healing journey as a mom! Cat and Chelsea are incredible instructions with years of knowledge. They have a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pelvic floor movement. All the classes are well programmed and keep both physical and mental healing in mind. What I like most about mama flow is its inclusivity and how the instructors offer different levels of movement and tailor the class to your physical ability depending on where you are in your postpartum journey. There are moms who are fresh postpartum or moms who are further along and the class caters to all moms. The instructors focus on the quality of movements and reps not quantity. You can go on a pace you're safe and comfortable. If you're a mama who is not ready to leave your little one at home you can bring them to class with you! I was nervous at first but the instructors really help you and even hold the babies if they're a little fussy! I started in postpartum rehab and worked my way up to postpartum sculpt and carrier sculpt. The postpartum sculpt is challenging not only for a postpartum mom but for anyone! It's a mix of weights and Pilates. I still like to attend postpartum rehab to work on my core strength after my c section. I highly recommend all the classes !!! read more

Love this studio. I wasn't aware of it during my pregnancy but came to it when my kiddo was about 2. Even though my kiddo was "older" I felt very welcomed. The classes focused on exactly the muscles that I felt like had gotten super weak since having a kid. And it's super friendly and calm vibe. I'll definitely be enrolling in prenatal offerings should that need ever arise :) read more

I can't recommend Mama Flow enough! After gaining 40 pounds during my pregnancy, I was searching for a safe, supportive, and effective way to reconnect with my body--and I found all that and more here. Thanks to Cat, the incredible owner and instructor, I've not only lost nearly all the weight, but I've also gained something even more valuable: confidence in myself, my capabilities, and my body. Cat's classes are expertly designed for postpartum recovery. I've learned how to properly engage my pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, which has made a huge difference in my daily functionality--everything from lifting my baby to simply moving through the day feels stronger and more supported. What truly sets Mama Flow apart is the community Cat has built. It's an open, non-judgmental, welcoming, and deeply supportive environment where you can connect with other moms who are navigating similar challenges. Knowing I'm not alone in this journey has been incredibly empowering. Cat also has an amazing network of professionals and has shared wonderful referrals with me--from pelvic floor specialists to doctors and massage therapists. She genuinely cares about each mama's full well-being, not just fitness. If you're a new mom or experienced mom looking to heal, grow, and feel strong again--Mama Flow is the place to be. read more

Joining Mama Flow during my pregnancy was the single most impactful decision I made for myself and my baby. Cat has created an incredible safe space for expectant and new moms. Rather than treating prenatal/post-partum movement as a lukewarm version of more intense ("real") fitness routines, Mama Flow has designed dedicated workouts and flows exclusively for the perinatal body. Most classes begin with a community check-in, providing the much-needed opportunity for mamas to verbalize the flurry of thoughts pregnancy and post-partum bring and be received with kindness and empathy. The workouts themselves are a wholesome combination of yoga, mat Pilates, cardio and weight training carefully curated for the pregnant/post-partum body, with ample room for adjustments based on your specific needs. Cat and all her instructors (most of whom are experienced birth doulas, perinatal physiotherapists in their own right) offer a lot of calm grounded advice, individualized attention and cues throughout the 45-60 minute classes, along with some amazing music to accompany the sweat sessions. Apart from the regularly scheduled classes, they also have invaluable dedicated workshops/series for birth prep (the only class we took), infant care, nursing, post partum rehab, etc. making them an integral part of your baby-support team. Their post-partum rehab cohort helped me recover mentally and physically from the rigors of new motherhood, while taking things at my own pace and making amazing fellow mama friends along the way. I hope to have them be a part of my mom life for a long long time. If you're a soon-to-be or recent mom, please give yourself the gift of peace, wellbeing and community by making Mama Flow a consistent part of your journey. read more

I have been coming to Mama Flow since 11 weeks pregnant. It is a wonderful community and Cat is amazing. The yoga focus on a lot of breath work and pelvis movement, which are important for the birthing process. Cat is welcoming, attentive and full of energy. If you are looking for yoga classes during and after your pregnancy, you can be assured that the classes will benefit you in one or more ways. I'm glad I found this place and looking back, it has helped me immensely. I'm continuing postpartum classes and that in itself is testimony. Mama Flow Studio is such a gem. The classes are amazing, and all the instructors. Cat, Chelsea, and Marina are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. When I was pregnant with my first during COVID, this studio didn't exist, and I remember wishing there was a place like this where I could move safely and feel supported. I'm so grateful that Cat created Mama Flow! It's everything I was looking for, beautifully designed classes adapted for every stage of pregnancy, and a welcoming community that makes you feel right at home. I absolutely love Pilates, and I can't wait to continue coming here postpartum. Thank you, Cat, for creating such an inspiring and thoughtful space for mamas! read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Mama Flow for both prenatal and postpartum classes. Cat Gieser is a wonderful teacher and a special person, who has brought her vision of creating a special place for moms to life! Her prenatal classes helped me physically and mentally navigate my pregnancy, and I attribute my breathing techniques during labor and delivery to her classes as well. The postpartum classes are equally great, and there are a variety of postpartum classes after "graduating" from the initial rehab class. The initial rehab class focuses a lot on abdominal and pelvic floor rehab, which is very important postpartum. I think I am in better shape after my pregnancy than I was before it! Cat's classes are great for all levels, and she provides enough support and instruction to be safe while also offering a good physical challenge. Mama Flow has also been a wonderful place for meeting other moms, making friends, and creating a community. I am very grateful to be part of this community, and I feel lucky to have found this studio! Additionally, Cat is now expanding her studio to add more teachers and classes, and I am really excited for the studio and proud of all her success! Cat also brings in experts in lactation and babycare for special workshops, and Cat seems to always be thinking of ways to offer other fun activities, like a mother's day event and a new dad/partner stroll during the class (which seems like a great idea to give partners a supportive community as well!). I am excited to see what Cat will think of next! read more

I instantly felt right at place during my first in-studio class with Cat. I can't speak for how everyone felt in class but she made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Being almost 2 months postpartum, I wanted to get back into working out and had trouble finding a class/space that really focused on deep core and breathing for postpartum moms. I feel a sense of belonging in Cat's postpartum class and would definitely recommend it to anyone whether they're in early or later postpartum. I only wish I found out about her prenatal classes before I gave birth! PS - I love that you can bring your little one to class. read more

I've been going to Mama Flow since pregnancy, and I'm still going now postpartum! Mama Flow is such a unique and fun experience! I took their postpartum sculpting class with my 3 month old LO and had such a great time. You have the option to make the class as challenging as you want it (especially with the carrier classes since you're bearing the weight of your baby the whole time) but Cat also does an amazing job encouraging you to take breaks, check on your baby if they fuss, and anything else you need to do to be comfortable in class. The studio is very clean, beautiful, and has a zen vibe to it. There is a changing station in the back with everything you need to change your LO. There are extra yoga mats, towels, and baby mats so you don't have to worry about bringing your own if you are already carrying so much or just forgot. Cat has really created a thoughtful, inclusive, and welcoming community for moms and their babies! I highly recommend this studio. read more

I've attended Cat's prenatal classes and recently started joining her postpartum sessions as well. Before this, I tried yoga classes but never felt like I was getting a real workout. Cat's classes, however, strike the perfect balance of challenge, leaving me feeling like I've truly pushed myself after each session. The workouts are thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of pregnant women and new mothers, focusing on core strength, arm muscles (which are crucial for carrying a growing baby), breathing techniques--an essential tool for childbirth--and more. These sessions really help me feel more connected to my body. In the prenatal classes, Cat draws on her experience as a doula, introducing relevant topics at the beginning of each session, such as pain management during labor or what to expect with induction. These have been incredibly insightful and timely, helping me feel more empowered and prepared for delivery. I can't say enough about Mamaflow and Cat Geiser -- I am so grateful to have had this studio as part of my of prenatal and postpartum journey. The prenatal classes prepared me for labor and kept me active/ moving into late pregnancy. I came across Mama Flow one early morning, it was 3am and I was nursing my little boy. I felt like I was ready to get back into working out but I didn't want to do it without my little man. I'd seen all these studios in LA and NYC where you could work out with your baby and I just really wanted that experience for myself. So you can imagine my happiness when I typed in baby and mommy workout studio near me and Mama Flow came up! I immediately signed up for classes. I did the dance class with my little boy and my life was changed! I then did the sculpt class and it helped me so much with my post partum Pelvic pain. Cat the owner and instructor is patient, she's kind and very very sweet with how she facilitates. I learned new dance moves and had fun while my son contact napped. I felt stronger and happier after each class. I wish I knew about this studio while I was pregnant because they offer prenatal workouts too! I'll be back for those! All in all, I can't recommend this studio highly enough, it has been amazing building muscle and community with other moms and although now that I'm Back to work and it's hard to attend the classes, I just know I'll be back soon and I can't wait! Such a sweet treat for anyone's post partum journey! read more

As a first time Mom I rarely feel in the position to give advice, but I am extremely confident that I can recommend going to Mama Flow to other mamas! I started coming here when I was only 5 weeks. I was able to meet other moms and hear where they are planning to delivering, and Cat also gave me really good pointers on which hospital would fit me best. I love that the classes feel challenging but are not too strenuous. I leave feeling like I got a good workout in but never exhausted. Cat also provides suggested modifications for any movements that may be more challenging to moms who are further along. Beyond being an instructor, Cat is also a mom and a doula so she is really knowledgable and it feels like you can ask her anything. I love that she is so open to giving support, and also creates space for moms to connect with each other. I am SO sad that I am moving so pretty soon I won't be able to go to Mama Flow anymore. Y'all have no idea how lucky you are to be in driving distance of this studio, so take advantage of it! read more
