As a first time Mom I rarely feel in the position to give advice, but I am extremely confident that I can recommend going to Mama Flow to other mamas! I started coming here when I was only 5 weeks. I was able to meet other moms and hear where they are planning to delivering, and Cat also gave me really good pointers on which hospital would fit me best. I love that the classes feel challenging but are not too strenuous. I leave feeling like I got a good workout in but never exhausted. Cat also provides suggested modifications for any movements that may be more challenging to moms who are further along. Beyond being an instructor, Cat is also a mom and a doula so she is really knowledgable and it feels like you can ask her anything. I love that she is so open to giving support, and also creates space for moms to connect with each other. I am SO sad that I am moving so pretty soon I won't be able to go to Mama Flow anymore. Y'all have no idea how lucky you are to be in driving distance of this studio, so take advantage of it! read more

The studio Cat has created is full of expert education and relentless welcome, motivation and joy! Cat's expertise is so precise and tailored to each person. You feel like it's your own personal class even in a room full of other people. The fact that she's addressing you (and baby) by name very soon after beginning reveals the intentionality in building welcome and community. The energy of the group is always affirming and joyful. It keeps you wanting to go back for more! I am so glad I started prenatal classes a few months before delivery. Not only did I feel more confident with Cat's encouragement from classes, but during postpartum I knew was in good hands when I was ready to go back to class. Love Cat and her unending support of all us mamas! read more

I tried my first class five months postpartum and wish I'd known about and tried Mama Flow classes sooner! After trying both the Floor Rehab & Foundations and Carrier Cardio Sculpt classes, I looked forward to them every week. My first class, I was going to be a few minutes late, and I almost talked myself out of going, because I was nervous to show up late and disrupt the class, but decided to risk it and go. I'm so glad I did! I quickly learned that Cat and the other moms in attendance are completely understanding to the needs of moms and their babies, and there is zero pressure. Running late? No problem; show up any time and easily jump right into wherever they are in the class. Fussy baby? No problem; nurse/feed a bottle right in the studio or the back room, change their diaper, hold them, hand them off to Cat for a few minutes, whatever you need! The class goes on and no one judges. Cat makes the classes very enjoyable as well, providing modifications based on your ability and comfort. I particularly loved the carrier class because not only was it a great workout, but the dances were really fun (no prior dance experience needed!), and my baby was usually laughing and smiling while we moved and often dozing off by the end. It can be really intimidating as a first time mom to start going out with your baby by yourself, and this is a great option for somewhere to go. I always felt very welcome and made friends with several other moms who attended, and we'd often grab coffee or lunch together at nearby shops after class. read more

Mamaflow was an essential part of taking care of myself during pregnancy. It's so nice to have a space to exercise where everyone is going through the same thing as you and the instructors have tailored classes for pregnancy and L&D. Looking forward to checking out their postpartum classes as well! read more

I have been attending Mama Flow classes since week 12 of pregnancy and I am now at week 30! Mama flow has given me so many tools to stay mentally and physically strong, to have confidence in my changing body, along with an incredibly supportive community of women! Taking a combo of their different class options has helped me stay limber, reduce back pain, and prepare for birth. I highly recommend Mama Flow for expecting mothers! I will continue postpartum classes after baby comes. 10/10 Mama Flow!!! read more

Cat has been an amazing mentor to me in terms of my prenatal classes. She takes interest in getting to know you and personalizing classes accordingly to your body's specific needs. She is very accommodating and helps me focus and understand the science behind working every muscle that may help with my labor. I have doing private lesson with her for 2+ months now and still continuing. Thank you Cat! read more

Before I sing Cat's praises, I have to start with the state of postpartum care and women's health in general today: it is dismal. There is a profound lack of providers who have a depth of knowledge when it comes to both arenas and it is a terrible disservice to all women. Thankfully, there are professionals like Cat who specialize in prenatal and postpartum. Her experience as a mom and yoga instructor combined with all her specialized certifications make her a heavyweight in an industry that has more recently been gaining traction. There are a lot of fitness people out there who claim to be experts but not all have done the work Cat has and she continues to educate herself in a field that is ever evolving. She has a robust library of classes on her site that cover a wide range: flow yoga, sculpt yoga, classes that are 5 minutes or up to an 1 hour as well as a number of videos that target specific problem areas like diastisis recti. She is also available for one-on-one private training over Zoom. I was a little doubtful about Zoom training but she watches me like a hawk during moves that might potentially be troublesome and provides great feedback/cues to help me improve. She is highly responsive and would answer any questions I had even before I was a private client. The cherry on top is that she is a pretty amazing person. She has a wonderfully positive attitude and great sense of humor--I have bust out laughing mid-workout a few times both during private sessions and on my own during a video. I can't recommend Cat more highly! read more

Cat has made Mama Flow such an important part of my pregnancy. The space is calming and there's a great mix of flow classes with strength training. There's a great community feel and I love that I am preparing my body for labor and postpartum while having fun. Cat is so knowledgable and is always available to answer any questions. I truly feel that this enhanced my pregnancy experience and now that I'm nearing 39 weeks, I'm also looking forward to coming back for the postpartum offerings! read more

I have been working with Cat from 16 weeks pregnant to 6 months postpartum. I have been to several prenatal classes in the area and hers is by far the best. She is extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. I felt great physically throughout my pregnancy, during birth, and postpartum thanks to her. She is also well connected with some of the most gifted birth workers on the planet and will refer you to people. I don't know how Cat has so much energy, joy, and expertise but you have got to get your butt to her studio and get into the radius of her light she is such a gift to the Bay Area moms and I am eternally grateful for the huge role she played in one of the most challenging times in my life (that was so much smoother and enjoyable. Cause of her) and the beautiful beginning of my babies life. read more

I started taking prenatal yoga classes with Cat when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and let me tell you these classes have been so so helpful to me not just physically but also emotionally and mentally. I just love how these classes are carefully designed for us pregnant ladies and also mommas of young babies. I find that the exercises we do in class make me sweat but are soft and gentle for my growing belly. Cat is an amazing instructor and she is also a trained doula that can answer any questions you have about birth and delivery. I will definitely keep coming to her classes even after my baby is born for postpartum yoga. The studio has room to accomodate strollers and has a place where you can breastfeed and change your baby if needed which is such a plus! I would highly recommend this studio for any mommas of young babies or mommas-to-be! read more

I did prenatal and currently doing postpartum yoga here, and I can't recommend it enough. It helped me stay active, eased my aches, lifted my mood, and I believe it really contributed to an easier labor. Postpartum classes are great for recovery and connecting with other moms. So glad I found this studio! read more

As a pelvic health occupational therapist, I recommend fitness classes for my pregnant and postpartum patients who need a continuity of care as well as community. I highly value that Cat is a certified perinatal corrective exercise specialist and is able to teach foundational and preventative techniques. I trust her classes to help my clients improve their core and pelvic floor connection, breathing and posture so that they have better outcomes in pregnancy, childbirth and in postpartum. Last but not least, she helps build a sense of community for moms to feel more positive and less alone in their journey to motherhood! read more

I've been loving the prenatal yoga classes with Cat at Mama Flow! I started at 15 weeks pregnant, am now at 35 weeks, and hope to continue working Cat until the baby comes (as well as postpartum). Her classes are strengthening and toning, but also emphasize breathwork (particularly diaphragmatic breathing) and an array of labor stretches and postures to help you prepare for the big day. The community of women at the Los Gatos studio has also been wonderful - it's such a nice way to meet other expecting moms and feel supported and held in community during the pregnancy journey. read more

I honestly couldn't say enough great things about Cat. I was searching for a class that catered to mommas-to-be and found so much more in this class. I started taking her class at 21-22 weeks and I felt so much support right away. You will feel the burn and feel like you have gotten a good work out by the end of the class. I love learning about my new body as my son grows inside me with Cat as a guide throughout the process. She truly cares about her students and goes above and beyond for all of us. I am so thankful to Cat and the safe comfortable space she has created at Casa Natal. I will definitely be continuing the class into my post partum. You will not be disappointed with this class Mommas! read more

I wish wish wish I had discovered Mama Flow when I was pregnant but so incredibly grateful to have found it postpartum!! I started classes when my daughter was 5 weeks old and she's now almost 5 months. I can't say enough wonderful things about the studio, the classes, the instructors, and the community. It's been so awesome to meet fellow moms in similar stages of life and it's been so good to have a dedicated space to motivate me to move my body! I started with the core rehab classes where baby is on the floor with you and have taken basically any additional class that I can take my daughter with me to while I'm on leave! Cat and the team at Mama Flow are just the absolute best and sweetest and are constantly working to cater to the community. I've enjoyed all the additional classes that have been added since I started and I absolutely LOVE each one including the dance cardio (I'm a horrific dancer but literally still love it!!) and the new stroller barre! I've never been great at self motivation when it comes to working out, especially now with 2 kids at home, and so having a space where I can be myself, bring my baby, AND feel like I'm getting a great workout in has been a game changer! Highlight of the day whenever I make it to a class. Highly recommend mama flow for all stages of your motherhood journey! read more

These classes have really helped me on my post partum journey. Each one I've been to has been both healing and helped me feel like I'm part of a larger community. Cat is a great instructor and very welcoming. It's really great knowing I can get out of my house with my little one and still do something for me. I am so excited to continue going to these classes. read more

I'm almost 29 weeks pregnant & obsessed with this studio & Cat! The classes range from yoga flow, breathing and stretching to more sculpt and strength focused. I seriously look forward to these classes every week and love the mom community there as well. Cat is so knowledgeable and always so happy to help answer any questions after class or via email about how to alleviate any pains, what stretches may be best at home, etc. 1000/10 recommend Mama Flow! read more

Cat was my birthing doula, but I also attended her prenatal yoga classes and personal yoga sessions (both prenatal and postpartum). When my husband and I met Cat, we both agreed that she was the right doula for us. She is so knowledgeable about birth, and her passion really shines through in all that she does. In helping us to develop our birth preferences, she provided us with so much practical information and was so supportive of whatever we decided. She also worked with me and my husband on birthing positions and got my husband involved in practicing what it would be like to physically support me during labor. I feel like our overall birth experience was positive despite the challenges we faced during labor and delivery. We definitely felt very supported throughout the labor process. Cat worked really well with the hospital staff, and respectfully asked questions when it could help to inform any decisions. There were many times where we were so grateful that Cat had asked/clarified something because it changed the course of our decision making. Once we got home, Cat pointed us to several resources, most notably a lactation consultant who is very knowledgeable and helped us to lower our baby's bilirubin (which was teetering on requiring a hospital stay). During our prenatal yoga sessions, Cat would educate us moms about how specific movements can facilitate labor, using a model of the pelvis to help visualize it. This was really helpful to see. Now during my postnatal sessions, she has shifted the movements to facilitate healing and re-strengthening of my pelvic floor. I cannot express how much of a pleasure it is to work with Cat. She has such a vibrant energy and I look forward to every session I have with her. I highly recommend! read more

Mamas- look no further! I started with Cat while I was struggling postpartum to get back into fitness and the one on one sessions over Zoom have been wonderful. She pays close attention to detail and provides great feedback. With her help, I was able to get back into fitness and feel stronger again. She has helped me in fitness areas and with nutrition changes to try. She listens to my personal story and concerns, and assists me consistently with personalized solutions and ideas. I've continued working with her now during pregnancy and I feel like I am in such great hands. I feel so lucky to have found her and to be able to have her as a support during pregnancy and postpartum. She truly cares! read more

Cat was my birth doula and l also happen to do prenatal/postpartum sessions with her. She is hands down the best doula in the bay and this comes straight from the nurses that happen to be in the delivery room. They were all amazed by the knowledge, care and the lovely human Cat is. She had one more delivery on the same schedule date as mine but as if universe was on my side and it all worked out with she being by my side right at that delivery table. She was so patient, helped and educated us with all our possible birth preferences. She was a thorough advocate and kept informing as about all the options we had through my 20 hour plus labor. My husband was so impressed by her professionalism and agrees to the fact that we would have been so anxious if it wasn't for Cat being with us through the process. It so happen that my obgyn had last min travel plans and we were left helpless but Cat literally held my hand and said to me 'You got this'. I can keep on writing on how good she is but l would just end it by saying, if god willing l ever plan to have another child, Cat is going to be there with me. read more

I first connected with Cat when I was halfway through my pregnancy. I had interviewed several doulas and was immediately drawn to her because of how comfortable she made me feel. Childbirth and pregnancy were my number one fears in life. It was my first pregnancy and I was scared and had no idea what to expect or what to do and had no idea about a birth plan. I don't know what I would have done without her. She guided me through every step of the way and was available for me to ask her questions and always made me feel confident and empowered in my pregnancy and postpartum journey. I had to pivot on my birth plan because of my genetic condition and she made me feel at ease and comfortable with my decision. I had the best birth I could have hoped for, and she helped me in my postpartum experience greatly. I feel like I went into my birth feeling as strong as I could have been and my recovery went smoothly. I don't think anything could have gone any better. I feel incredibly satisfied with my experience with Cat and now I feel part of an even larger community of women and mothers. She worked with my pelvic PT to find the best birth modality possible for me given my condition and I feel like with her teaching me how to advocate for myself and my health with my care team I saved myself from having the potential for a pretty traumatic birth injury. My healing has been great and I feel better than I thought I could at 3 months postpartum. I have also attended her classes as well and found them to be great in learning about my own body and also in getting a good workout. I feel like my fitness is pretty good for being postpartum and she has worked with me and my limitations. Cat is extremely thorough and well organized. My prenatal and postpartum visits from her are some of the highlights of my journey into motherhood. No one called me down as much as she did during my whole experience. She guided me through what to expect, exercises to prepare myself, and was always was there to listen to me. She genuinely cares and it is apparent upon meeting her. All my family commented on what a wonderful woman she is. She is very kind and thoughtful and all my family and friends loved her when she gave me my postpartum visit in the hospital. She always made me feel calm and at ease and I am looking forward to attending more of her classes in the future after having such an amazing experience through my pregnancy and postpartum with her. I highly highly recommend her. I cannot state that enough, if you are a first-time mom or have had multiple children I recommend having her as a doula. read more
