From the outside, it has that classic older diner look. Inside, it keeps that same charm with rustic decorations, historical pieces, and a country café feel. Country music playing in the background added to the atmosphere. We were seated quickly in the front area with a nice view out the window. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, but as we sat there, more people started coming in, so it's definitely a place that gets a steady flow of customers. The menu has that simple country breakfast feel. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of turkey, and my auntie ordered the Polish sausage with eggs, hash browns, and a small serving of biscuits and gravy. The portions were decent -- a little more than what we're normally used to, but not overly large. My two biscuits looked like they might be a little hard at first, but once I opened them up, they were cooked all the way through and better than expected. The gravy, however, wasn't quite what I prefer. It was more on the soupy side, and the flavor was a little bland, so I added some salt and pepper. Overall, it wasn't a bad breakfast, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. The food was okay, but for over $40 for two people, I felt the price was a little high for the experience. The hot chocolate was probably the highlight -- that was really good. Mike and Rhonda's has a classic diner atmosphere and a lot of character. It just wasn't quite our taste, but I'm glad we stopped in and tried it for ourselves.

The service was fast and very friendly. This is sort of a hole in the wall place that is very plain and old school, but I kind of like that and appreciate it. Nothing fancy - just good sandwiches and a place to eat them and hang out if you want. My biggest complaint is that it's hard to find an online menu. They don't have a website- they just use facebook (which doesn't seem current or up to date and no regular postings), and their menu on there is very old. But rest assured that whatever is on that menu is still applicable today - just the prices are different. So I got some pix of the current menu. Hope that helps someone looking.

I was so happy to see the Hecho en Mexico Fanta UVA (grape) in the cooler and slowly enjoyed each sip of that pure cane sugar sweetened nectar. They have plenty of seating and a huge parking lot. The only down side was that the turkey breast was not the chunk of turkey I was expecting, just a few thin slices of deli turkey breast (like you would have in a sandwich) and the gravy was too salty. The parking is in the back of the restaurant. Fyi--the pavement between the car park and the front door is broken and uneven and was a challenge for my friend and her walker, so the mobility impaired may find it difficult to navigate.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be a little too dry and tasted very similar to a basic apple cinnamon cake. Overall, it wasn't anything special to me. I also tried their strawberry lemon bar, which I really enjoyed. This one was very good and had a nice balance of tart lemon flavor. The texture inside was tacky in a good way, and it made the dessert very yummy. Another square I tried was the Almond Joy bar, which was amazing. It had a base that seemed to be made with granola, topped with a sweet coconut cream layer, and finished with a thick layer of chocolate and shredded coconut. It was very tasty. The last dessert I tried was their bread pudding square. It was pretty good overall, but it wasn't anything special. I did find the bread pudding to be a little dry.
