After this review Im reporting this trifling facility to the state. The administrator Gregory Dwyer…read moreis a rude idiot and it reflects throughout his staff. The ONLY person who is helpful and has some sense in the entire place is the front desk receptionist Cynthia. EVERYONE else is rude and a bit slow. Id give this place no stars if that was an option. My mother was in this facility for about 2 months and from the moment she got there, there were nonstop issues. For the first two weeks I couldnt get info even if I went up there because the Admissions people couldnt be bothered to call the hospital where my mother was transferred from to see I am her next of kin. They made no distinction for my mother being there due to other medical issues but including a memory issue (possibly dementia) so they would just sit her food nearby or across the room (I witnessed this) and my mother is immobile. We repeatedly told them she needs to be fed and will not remember that she hasnt eaten, etc. etc. They didnt care. Fast forward I get a call from a HOSPITAL that my mother was admitted. CC couldnt be bothered to call me and let me know this then lied to their leadership saying they notified me. No messages, no missed calls, no emails, no texts. NOTHING. I was also left out the care planning sessions until they finally added me to my mother's next of kin contact info. Care plans were not scheduled so I couldnt go in person. When I finally was a part of a care plan, the total call was less than 5 minutes and I was met with attitude when I asked what was next because all the "care plan" covered was progress, not next steps. Note care plans are to include general treatment (medications, etc.), PT/ OT, and wound care. Most of these topics were glossed over and I was told someone will call you back. They never call back. In the few phone calls I had with various staff members (because all they do is pass the buck, "thats not my job" or "Ill have someone call you back" - no one ever calls back and if they do its like groundhog day and you have to repeat everything all over again). Fast forward to I get a call on Jan 6th - a Tuesday (6 days after the new year) for them to say your mother is being discharged today (NO notice) because she doesnt have insurance. She in fact did have insurance. A new policy that started at the beginning of the year. Context, admissions submits pre-auths to the insurance at least a week prior to the week in question to ensure the insurance would cover. So how shocking it would be to hear on the 6th that I may incur a bill for 6 days out of pocket because these people "didnt know" about the new policy but named the policy to me. So again, had they been doing preauths like they should, there would have been no issue. By Friday, theyre telling me her new discharge date is now the following monday. Note I had been begging them to assist me with requesting the medical equipment needed for my mother to be cared for at home. So now we have to scramble and coordinate everything on a friday afternoon to ensure things would be available Monday. I go to the Administrator's office to address these issues and this man talked down to me and got loud several times to the point ppl started gathering in the hallway. I asked him if he thought their treatment would be suitable for his own mother and he said no but kept saying theyre a work in progress. In that same convo where Im asking them to confirm what medical equipment they ordered, these idiots literally told me they couldnt request a medical bed for my mother because she doesnt have a diagnosis for one but has been in one for months in their facility. Make that make sense.I mention the large bed sore on her back and then all of a sudden thats enough to get a medical bed so what were they reviewing while ordering the equipment if I had to tell them where to look in their own documentation. He also kept insisting we get rid of my mother's private insurance for state insurance. Who the hell does that if they have the means of being on a private plan? Anything to trap my mother there and they take all her assets. I asked what happens if monday comes and the equipment isnt available, this man literally shrugs his shoulders. She finally comes home and she is COVERED in bed sores, huge scratches and wounds all over her body. She also cannot extend her legs so she cant even be in a wheelchair. Explain how that happens if shes getting PT and OT like they swore she was receiving during those bogus care plans? Right.. And less than 2 days later she's back in the hospital with an infection from a dirty catheter. Condemn this place! Hope everyone in this dirty place is fired and dealt with including the social worker Ms. Daniels, the nursing supervisor Dio, Kayla in Admissions, Dawn in billing, Eileen in discharge coordination, and the Administrator over the entire building Gregory Dwyer. ALL OF THEM ARE TRASH along with the nursing staff swirling around them.

My stepfather passed away on January 27, 2026, after residing at this facility from December 3, 2025. What my family experienced during that time has been deeply disturbing and traumatic. Issues we observed included concerns related to food quality, communication, and the overall treatment of residents--especially those with dementia or who cannot fully advocate for themselves. These are individuals who rely entirely on staff for safety and dignity. Since his passing, I have learned information through police involvement and from other families who had loved ones here. Hearing similar stories has been heartbreaking and alarming. If you are considering placing a loved one here and have the option to move them elsewhere, I urge you to do so before being reassured, dismissed, or gaslit into trusting care that may not be what it appears. Families are often told exactly what they want to hear. I was very involved and asked many questions while my stepfather was here. That should never make a family feel unwelcome--but it did. I hope more people speak up. Silence only allows harm to continue.

This was from the Director: Dianelle Gordon "Memory care Director"…read moreI had a very unprofessional experience during my interview process. I arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled 11:30 AM interview and waited without any communication. After reaching out, I was told the interviewer was 'on the way,' however, she never showed up. Instead of acknowledging the situation, I was later told that their time was wasted, which was surprising given that I was early, punctual, and prepared. I understand that patient care comes first, but basic communication and respect for a candidate's time should still be maintained, especially in a leadership role. This experience reflects poor professionalism, lack of accountability, and disregard for others' time. I would not recommend applying here if you expect clear communication and respect. "Do not apply here proof is in the pudding!!!" Look at the times as well as she say two minutes which led to 25-30 extra weight time and she's rude to me?? I had pictures as well of the unprofessional behavior

It amazes me that so many people know nothing about this cool market place Bazaar that takes place in December at Shiloh Family Life Center. They have over 40 Artists and Designers 3 weekends in a row. Now this is it! You have to get over there by this Saturday December 21st, they open at 10am and close at 7pm. You can get limited edition black memorabilia, natural hair care products, African Fabrics, clothes, shoes, and one of a kind hand made quilts. Children's, toy's, and books. It is a culturally diverse experience with lots of different faces and races, people are having a wonderful time. Lots of interesting conversations. Realness...politicin'. HA- there we go! The artisans are friendly, and just got their own flava' really givin you that inner-city Philly, New York, Jersey, DC flair! My favorite stands were: The Bayou Soap stand as soon as you enter the 1st floor to the right. Arromatic soaps with olive oil, palm oil, and coconut. I purchased Kush. Khali Keyi's stand towards the back on the 1st floor which features unique fine leather goods. A true craftsmen! He's got a leather handbag so dope it would put a Marcie Chloe bag to shame! Right across from him is the Amazulu Collection, Charita Powell makes these beautiful floor lamps and vases made of metal, leather, bamboo, etc. She has original artwork, among them a very very rare shot of Nina Simone decked in all black leather! Zainab Urban Wax had the cool hoop earrings, clutch pocket books, and bangles covered in West African Fabric. Then after you've shopped yourself crazy you can go to their little café in one of the side rooms and get a good southern meal--fried chicken, fried fish, collards, THE WORKS! BZB IS TRULY AN EXPERIENCE!

This place has no business caring for people! My husband and I were required to take a covid test when we arrived. We were both handed a box and told to read the instructions and take the test. The woman told us to go to the kiosk, register and take the test. Seeing so many people walking around and no dedicate area to take the test, I went back to the desk. We were told to stand in the entrance...yes, we were swabbing our nose as people were going in/out of the building. This was embarrassing as well as disgusting! We took my brothers clothes and other necessities on the 15th. As I entered the facility there were people loitering in the hallway. Staff were talking loud, joking and playing with each other. The smell of urine in this facility is horrendous! As my husband opened the closet to hang up my brother's clothing, a large bag fell out with someone's belongs. I checked the drawers and they too were full. Two days he was moved. We found his clothes in a plastic bag with whatever remains were on his food table. Hiss new underwear, socks, and deodorant were missing. VA transport picked up my brother for a doctor's appointment and when I met them at VA Hospital. I was told that my brother needed to be changed. Yes! They sent him out probably with the diaper he had on the night before! As we were talking to the doctor, he asked the doctor if someone could change him. The doctor looked at me, I was so embarrassed. The next day I found my brother in the bed with a sheet draped across him, and the door wide opened. He told me that she had been gone for a long time. I closed the door and stood there for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to come back. My brother had a stroke, and could not feed himself. They were putting his tray on the table and removing it, if he doesn't eat. VA was paying them for full-skilled care which means someone should have been feeding him. My brother's room was extremely hot. I was told that the heat had to be left on because the man in the room with my brother had breathing problems and need the heat to breathe. WTH! It's 100 degrees outside! My brother was sweating badly. I contacted Veterans Administration and told them of the situation, and they immediately started arrangements to get him moved. Just 2 weeks after my brother entered this facility, I was finally getting him out! He is in a beautiful, loving facility that is taking good care of him. One other thing, don't let the manicured lawn with the flowers, videos or pictures fool you. The inside is a dump full of some uncaring humans. I say some, because I know there are some people working there who truly care. You have been warned!
