When I came to Crescent Cities Nursing And Rehabilitation nothing was done for my arrival even…read morethough the Hospital fax over everything what to treatment to give me and medication,I had to be rushed to the hospital because of my pain and anxiety I had and then when I came back nothing was getting done to my satisfaction, I was so unhappy and the nurse practitioner only seen me twice in the 3 months I been here,all this because the social worker wasn't doing her job correctly,I ran out of physical therapy days and they submitted the wrong paperwork to my private insurance company and they denied my physical therapy so now here I wait for my Medicaid Application to be approved, Crescent Cities Nursing And Rehabilitation could have given me my 30 days discharge but they didn't,they kept a roof over my head,they fead me and gave me my medication, Administrator Mr. Goddard did a complete turnaround to this place,when I submit a complaint to him the man gets things done ,I praise Ms. Gladys and Ms. Comfort for a job well done,there are so kind and caring and would do anything for you,the cleaning crew really keeps this place clean,every single day rooms and bathrooms get cleaned,I never see any bugs or rodents,they do your laundry for you,the maintenance man has it together,can fix anything in a split second,I just wish they had a better pharmacy because this place there doing business with is slow and please let's do something with the food,it's terrible, sickness,cold gross and small portions and they just don't care what they feeding people,they do however keep you busy with activities,you can go outside in the front of building or wait for smoke break and they will take you in a lock fence to smoke up,I been in many Rehabilitation Centers and this ranks pretty high, Hospital nurses put Nursing Homes down saying they won't be able to keep up with the amount of medication I take but they been doing a great job, i can get though the hallways pretty well in my wheelchair and I can see in each room and everyone seems to be comfortable and tooken care of,no one can see eye to eye and you will not be happy wherever you go and no one wants to be in a nursing home but there good to go to if you need this kind of help,as I see no one here is being miss treated in any way,I would say I would recommend Crescent Cities Nursing And Rehabilitation for your care or a love one but I hope it continues that way. My stepfather passed away on January 27, 2026, after residing at this facility from December 3, 2025. What my family experienced during that time has been deeply disturbing and traumatic. Issues we observed included concerns related to food quality, communication, and the overall treatment of residents--especially those with dementia or who cannot fully advocate for themselves. These are individuals who rely entirely on staff for safety and dignity. Since his passing, I have learned information through police involvement and from other families who had loved ones here. Hearing similar stories has been heartbreaking and alarming. If you are considering placing a loved one here and have the option to move them elsewhere, I urge you to do so before being reassured, dismissed, or gaslit into trusting care that may not be what it appears. Families are often told exactly what they want to hear. I was very involved and asked many questions while my stepfather was here. That should never make a family feel unwelcome--but it did. I hope more people speak up. Silence only allows harm to continue.

(Part 2 of 1) The second person I knew  worked at a…read moreHomedepot at Shady Grove Rockville Maryland.  I can't remember his name so I will refer to him as Toro.  Toro and I worked together at Homedepot for several months,  but we only got to know each other for possibly two weeks. We ended up getting to know each other, because he liked my work ethic.  Evidently he had been watching how I do my job and liked people that take pride in their work. After the second week I got to know him, I didn't see again. I had learned he had lost his job at Homedepot job, lost his girlfriend and something else.  I can't  remember if he lost his car or not, but if it is true, it explain way he might have been late for work.  I am sure there was a lot more going on that I did not know about. I learn he was at the subway when he ended his life by train. What hit me hard is the last conversation we had. Either it was another associate or an actor who took their life, but it was the core of our conversation. I remember him saying he would never do that no matter how bad things got. We talked about people one could go to for help as well.  Whatever happened, happened  in a series of three or four close together. If he came to the store begging to keep his job, his pleas fell on deaf ears. Finally, When I met my wife, she had told me she once tried to take her own life, but the pills didn't work. Evidently her body and spirit were as one and rebuked the pills she had taken.   I know my wife has been depressed from time to time as I have. It takes a special kind of person to see the signs and snap them out of whatever funk you're partner's in. Suicide doesn't care if you die, because the depression will most certainly move onto someone else. Misery loves company and this is why suicide and misery do well together...stick with laughter and joy...they are better company. I am glad there is a Suicide Hotline, because when I was depressed, that phone line didn't really register with me, but now, there are more ways to get help than just a phone line. "Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise"...a helping hand will always be there...

Instead of acknowledging the situation, I was later told that their time was wasted, which was surprising given that I was early, punctual, and prepared. I understand that patient care comes first, but basic communication and respect for a candidate's time should still be maintained, especially in a leadership role. This experience reflects poor professionalism, lack of accountability, and disregard for others' time. I would not recommend applying here if you expect clear communication and respect. The level of care and maintenance has deteriorated significantly, especially among the most vulnerable residents on the dementia floor. These residents need the most care, yet this is the floor with the least amount of consistent quality care and maintenance. They are clearly understaffed, and this has made it difficult for even the best workers to deliver appropriate levels of care consistently. It seems as if this once sought-after facility set itself up for failure. Families and, sadly, the vulnerable residents are paying the price daily. At this time, I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

My uncle has dementia and we've had bad experiences before where people are mean to him, but the staff doesn't argue with him. They're respectful of who he is. We got a caregiver and she is on time, professional, and communicates well. She provides him with transportation and help him with his medications. Fumi in the office is wonderful. She does our schedule for transportation and helps with billing.

All of his needs were taken care of over the next few days, to help him get settled back in properly. This included meal prep, light cleaning, grocery shopping, and even driving him to an important medical appointment. A different worker came in for the second through fourth day. Both ladies were extremely competent, experienced, courteous, caring, and patient. My telephone interactions with the organization's management personnel and the workers' supervisor were also excellent. They were professional, courteous and readily available. I will gladly use Visiting Angels in the future, should the need arise.

It's all lies. They put you on a bike for 10 minutes the most, and nothing else. I needed to practice the steps so I can navigate them at home, that was never an option. They dismiss your concerns, and most of the staff has such an attitude. They look through you as if you don't exist, their whole job is to help you get healthier and stronger. The food is disgusting, as well as the Cockroaches not only in the room but in the shower area. It looks clean for the most part. There was a charge nurse that was very kind, that lived in Brooklyn for a while and really helped me out. Also there was Solana who was the only one that really cared about me. Then after you've shopped yourself crazy you can go to their little café in one of the side rooms and get a good southern meal--fried chicken, fried fish, collards, THE WORKS!
