So he explained that he uses sharpening stones when possible, which I am more comfortable with. In the end, he sharpened approx. two-thirds of my knives using sharpening stones (charging $3/inch) and the rest on the belt sander ($1/inch). Because of the their shape, some knives--e.g., boning knives--can only be sharpened on the belt sander. Highly reccommend Cecilio!

It's been over two years and every time I need work on my chainsaw or other equipment I remember…read morethe awful service I got at "the sharpening shop". To this day it aches my heart to remember the impotence I felt standing there waiting after requesting I get my chainsaw back. After over a month of patiently waiting to get it maintained, I finally asked politely but firmly after being told it was not ready, that I needed my chainsaw as it had gotten no attention and I required it for some work. They did some communication behind closed doors in back area and gave me the run around only to get hit with a bill the equivalent of 3/4's of new saw like mine. I felt a hurt in my chest as I knew I could not do anything. I swore to never go back and I am only writing this review in hopes no one goes through something similar. If it wasn't because I have better things to do I'd boycott them each day outside with a sign in hand . I'm sure they have done good or ok business with others but that does not take away the sting from the fact that they chose to be so dirty and shady that one day with me. It spoke volumes of the type of business this is! My only hope is I help one person avoid what I went through.

I once took knives to a guy at the local farmers market who ran his business out of his truck and it was terrible. He did his work with a bench grinder and made a mess out of the cutting edge! Brought him 5 knives of various pedigree, 2 that were at least 40 years old but I use all the time, a favorite pocket knife that I could never get sharp and a couple newer ones. William's mother greeted me, took my knives, and reminded me of the price range per knife. On Friday morning, I got a text that my knives were ready and confirming the final price. Pick up was quick and easy, and the knives are well sharpened. Two of my knives are polished to a shiny finish, and William was able to maintain that shine. The knives cut so much better now, and I'm sure I'll be back in the future. A few notes - the gate to the backyard is in the cul de sac (not the main street that the front door is on), so when you send the text letting them know that you've arrived, they'll meet you at that side gate. They only accept cash or Venmo. They don't give you the final price or pickup time until the work is done, I think because William needs to assess the knives. The price felt fair to me given the quality of work, just something to be aware of!
