Recently, I booked an appointment for a girls' evening with several friends who were traveling in from out of town. Unfortunately, their flight was canceled due to circumstances completely beyond our control. When I called, I was not asking to cancel the appointment, only to reschedule it. To my surprise, I was told that rescheduling was not an option. As a loyal customer, I expected a greater level of understanding and empathy for an unforeseen situation like this. I was committed to keeping my business with them and simply needed flexibility due to a travel disruption. Their unwillingness to work with me left me feeling undervalued as a customer. In my professional experience working with many businesses, I have seen the best customer service demonstrated when unexpected circumstances arise. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of customer care and consideration that I did not expect from a company I had supported and promoted for years. I will certainly miss their products, but this experience has left such a negative impression that I do not see myself returning. It's disappointing when a single interaction overshadows years of otherwise positive experiences. I hope they read this and do better with their customers. Given the current environment with flight disruptions, delays other other transporation challenges this will happen to another customer and they will continue to disappoint and tarnish their brand.

Everything is vibrant + playful + makes you feel like you're in a better mood. I just wanna go up to smell everything because they all smell delicious when I'm first stepping foot into the store. Staff is always friendly + helpful + attentive at this 59th Street - Columbus Circle location. You can easily find this spot at the Turnstyle Underground Market after coming out through the turnstiles. Lovely and fragrant aromas of freshly handmade skincare + hair care + body care + bath bombs + soap bars + makeup products are filled throughout the store. Since the products are handmade and not processed by machines, they tend to be in different sizes. Another thing is that, they have shorter shelf lives + shorter expiration dates. For the fresh face masks being sold in containers, it is absolutely necessary to store them in the fridge when/after getting home so they won't get spoiled. They usually will expire in a month as there's no synthetic preservatives in the formula. Face masks are packed with fresh, natural active ingredients like fruits and vegetables too. Other skincare products like cleansers & moisturizers may not need to be put in the fridge and can last up to one year to 14 months. Bath bombs and soap bars aren't required to be placed inside the fridge. So, just storing them in a cool, dry place is already well enough. Although, it is highly recommended to store them in airtight containers to prevent food odors from seeping in if they're placed inside the fridge. I tend to like placing products made with oils like massage bars in the fridge during the summer. Therefore, the oil doesn't get separated from the product itself. Moreover, there won't be any melting either. Different products are catered to different skin concerns that people might have. Anyone's bound to find something he/she will like inside. Lush is a great place to buy thoughtful presents for your family and friends on their birthdays or other holiday celebrations.

It is located underground at the market at the 59th St/Columbus Circle subway stop. PSA: It's *not* street level! Fun fact: It's not only the smallest Lush shop in the United States, it's *also* the only one located underground! When we entered, Hannah greeted us and confirmed that 80% of the phone calls she receives at the shop are "how do I find you?" (I was one of them!) She was very helpful and friendly. I love talking Lushie with people! Even though it is a very intimate space, the layout is amazing. They really know how to maximize space here! This shop was tricky to find, but I'm so glad I didn't give up!

Space is quite cramped though like the size of a small bookstore. I am very amazed and impressed by the fancy-looking, customized chandelier hanging from the ceiling above. I find this to be the main highlight of the entire store. The chandelier fits right in with the rest of the sophisticated interior design especially the white marble table. At first, I thought it's just originally made of crystals like most chandeliers I have seen before. But then, it is actually a masterpiece created from the signature Diptyque glass candle holders being placed upside down side-by-side next to each other. Had I not stepped further to take a much closer look, I would've missed it altogether. Whether you like fruity, citrusy, fresh. floral, woody, musky, spicy or herbal scents/notes ~ you're bound to find one that you will like. They sell travel versions of candles and fragrances if customers don't want to go all in for full size products yet. They do make thoughtful gifts for your significant other or besties. Lastly, its pricing is expensive because everything is made in France but worthwhile and high-quality in the long term.

While I am not surprised that the shop was located in The Plaza, I was taken aback that it's essentially a kiosk. A kiosk with crazy-expensive items, but a kiosk nonetheless. The staff member took great care of my friend, discussing the various notes within the scents that she was interested in, and ensuring that she had an opportunity to smell all of the things that she was curious about. He didn't apply the hard sell on her and backed off when I told him that my tastes ran more in the price range of TJ Maxx instead of Tiffany's, which I appreciated. Should someone tell me they were interested in high-end fragrance, I would definitely steer them towards Krigler.
