Before starting, Sabrina asked me a few questions about any allergies to wax and whether there was anything I wanted to change about my brows. I really appreciated that she asked about my preferences instead of making assumptions. She was very kind, explained the step-by-step process, and took before-and-after pictures of my brows. Tori is nothing but professional. I was a little early but she let me come in early since it was so hot outside. She sat me down to do a consultation for my color and cut and pricing and we got started right away. She also shared that she had safety procedures in place including CPR, a medical staff person (Carrie) and an eye wash. I have never been to a place that had this in mind. She also shared information about how I should care for my hair and how to determine when was a good time to determine when to come back since hair grows at various rates depending on various conditions. Tori did my cut and styling. Carrie did my color and I was really happy by how much care they took not to get color all over my skin. There were even these little plastic ear covers that went over my entire ears that I have never seen before! They even went back to make sure my ears, face and neck were clean. The color was very pleasant smelling, not chemically at all so there was no burn or stinging. Tori suggested that I also get my eyebrows done and I decided to do this, too. I haven't had that done since before COVID, so it was overdo. Tori and Carrie not only waxed and trimmed my eyebrows but did coloring to match my hair. I had a little scar which she was able to cover up nicely so my eyebrows actually matched and were so natural. I wish that I had found this salon sooner. This overall was a traumatic experience and unfortunately left me with a long lasting consequence…read more Shirnel told me we wouldn't go too dark bc we can always go darker but it's hard to go lighter. However she went dark purple and it turned out very uneven. On my top left side I have a big mark with a line extending through the middle of my lip. the color and outline is uneven. My bottom lip has a big ring around it and it is light on the inside. Shirnel assured me she could fix it. She did saline injections then without my knowing beforehand, she topped it with peach ink. This then resulted in large blisters filled with peach ink that was seeping out. I had to go to urgent care and get medication. From my current understanding, it isn't recommended for the saline to be used for ink removal on the lips and why she chose to top it with ink, I have no idea, but it was not a good choice. I contacted Shirnel and told her about my need to go to urgent care and she didn't ask if I needed any reimbursement for the visit or medication. I told her I was really unhappy with how my lips were looking and asked 2 times if I could make an appointment to speak with her in person and also wanted her to look at my lips and she straight up ghosted me. I understand mistakes happen but the thing that made me the most upset was how she choose to just ignore what she did to me. the result of this has left me so uncomfortable about how I look, spending lots of time covering it up as much as I can, and having to deal with people making comments to me about my lips. I chose to go to Shirnel bc she had good reviews. it was a horrible experience and I wish the mistake wasn't so permanent . I also wish she took responsibility for what she did to me instead of ignoring the problem at hand.

I should be suing her, and I WOULD NOT recommend her to any one for hair services…read more It took me a while to do this review because I didn't want emotion clouding an honest review. I have spent the past month since it was done, a lot of emotional damage/turmoil and a few hundred dollars trying to fix what she has irrefutably damaged. I went in for an ombré, and a trim/style and paid $300 for the service initially (photo 1). I didn't receive an ombré, however, I received highlights which should have cost me $90-$130. I followed up with her and asked if she could redo my hair into what I had initially asked for (photo 2). She said that she could do it again after waiting a month or refund me $90; I said I would wait the month and asked her to do it again. She was pleasant when I got back into the studio and I had confidence that she wouldn't mess with my hair. I was WRONG. She proceeded to bleach my hair SIX levels in one setting (even leaving the room for 15 minutes after she put me under the heated hair dryer with tin foil over the bleached hair), causing my hair to become dry, brittle, unable to hold oil or moisture of any kind, and it has started falling out. (Photo 3). This is what my hair looked like before anything was done to it. (Photo 4 to show texture and photo 5 to show length) I'm going to have to cut my hair off and start over the decade it took me to grow it so long and healthy. Words cannot describe the turmoil this woman has put me through. If anyone could recommend a good lawyer, I'm all ears, no hair. FML. I just want to wake up from this $300 hair nightmare. Mahalo
