I have been going to Rachel for haircuts for a few years now and she is the best by far. She does an impeccable job and I always leave feeling my most beautiful. I have long, dark wavy/curly hair and her cuts really showcase it's best ability, even drying naturally my hair always looks great because of her cuts. Rachel is my go-to curl gal! I don't trust a lot of stylists with my hair because i've been burned with some gnarly cuts (people who say they know how to cut curls but actually have no clue.. I have been going to Rachel for almost two years and I WILL NOT go or try anyone else. Rachel is amazing in terms of doing her magic to make you look great. She can literally do any look you ask her too and always has great suggestions on what can make it better. Get this... In 6 years of working with my co-workers, and 6 years of apparently lousy haircuts, my co-workers actually noticed how good my haircut was, which came completely out of the blue. Rachel is the best! I've been a loyal Rachelite since 2012, when she took my mess of a hair and turned it into magic. My hair was so unhealthy--I had bleached it myself, dyed it blue, pink, etc., then covered it up with w box brown for a professional event. I came in, told Rachel that I wanted to *eventually* go copper, and I came out the same day with glorious shiny copper hair. I've been with her ever since, and it's become almost a habit for me to get stopped in the street or in stores after my appointments with Rachel by someone complimenting my color. My boyfriend found this place on Yelp since he needed a short trim and persuaded me to make an appointment. At that time, it had been well over 8 months since I had cut or colored my hair, so I was working with something that looked akin to a lion's mane than actual human hair. I decided to go with him to his appointment, just to check out the space and meet Rachel. Upon meeting her, she has the BEST personality in the business. She asked my boyfriend a lot of questions about how he preferred his hair, how he styles it, etc. His hair came out looking amazing! Rachel was kind enough to also give me a short consultation following my boyfriend and she talked me through my plans for my hair and helped me hone in on what I really wanted. I came in the next week for my appointment with a picture in hand of what I wanted for my hair color. Rachel immediately knew which direction to go in and colored my overgrown roots and gave me a balayage that would give my hair the dimension it had lacked for so long. Since my last hair cut was a long bob my hair had grown extremely thick and had started feeling extremely heavy. Rachel thinned everything out and gave me a slight trim. The end result was SO amazing. My hair was a gorgeous reddish blonde and looked better than I could've imagined. Rachel completely understood me and shared the vision I had for my hair. What made this experience the best I've ever had is Rachel, herself. Her understanding of hair and creativity truly is the best part of this place. I couldn't rave more about anyone that has done my hair. She literally reinvigorated my hair's life and made the coloring process as stress-free as possible. I've been going to get my hair washed and blow-dried by Rachel for the past 3 years and she's AMAZING! I have really thick, long, wavy Polynesian hair that becomes a problem for most salons to deal with simply because they don't have the proper training to tame my mane. I was so nervous to go blonder because my hair is a bit fine and had gotten really dry and broken in the past from lightening it. I also had some difficult pink to draw out of the bottom of my hair. Rachel used gentle, quality products and did a great job blending the blonde naturally into my hair color. The next day, when it seemed like the pink had caused the bottom to not match the top, she worked with me without question to perfect the blend in time for a wedding I was attending, AND my hair remained healthy and soft by some miracle :) You won't regret seeing her! read more

I have not come in for over a year now, but I have had my hair done by Rachel many many times now in the last 4 years. (The reason I have not stopped by in a while is because I am trying to grow it out !) I have had my hair bleached, colored, cut, and styled by her into a variety of styles and every time I have left, I feel like this is the best I have ever looked. Some years ago she made me the best platinum blonde fauxhawk I have ever seen! (I have dark, coarse, Asian hair). The most recent time I have been to her own personal salon was last year in August 2014. I sought her out because I refused to see anybody else! After my hair cut, I was happy and looking forward to seeing my hair grow out in decent formation I can live with for the next year. She's also teaching me how to live with my natural hair texture, which happens to be curly. I just know I keep coming back because she does a great job on my hair every time and while I'm sitting in the chair, we are chatting and laughing and it is a great vibe while getting my hair done.
