I'm not sure what this was called but it was absolutely cheesy goodness.

I come in to Make Believe in the mornings for my dirty chai. They make it the best in the neighborhood. I cannot come in for months and they'd still know my order. Love that! So attentive and detail oriented as i have a bit of an odd order. Bonus during warmer months they have legit large sized iced plastic cups. I have only gotten food once but I will tell you to take a gander at their display. You'll find this delicious, cheesy eggy goodness. Get it. Indulge. Enjoy! Thank me later! The staff are so genuinely friendly. If I were in the office full time, I'd be there every day and if they were closer to my home, I wouldn't mind working there remotely either. The Cafe is bright and airy with some comfy seating and an open kitchen to see what yumminess is being prepared for the day. On a street with multiple cafe's, don't sleep on Make Believe. Get a dirty chai! Get whatever is in the display. Show your support!

Lovely shop with ample seating and kind baristas! Tons of space to sit in the front, and I'd imagine they have chairs to put out in the summer. The Vanilla Oatmilk Latte was delicious! And it came in a ceramic cup!

The 7 layer cake is a beautiful work of art and the taste marches. Its a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting topped with strawberry and chocolate mouse. Note to the wise, don't make the same mistake I did. Always look at your cake once it is placed in the box. The display cake looked good, then I did not get to inspect the cake before it was placed in the box. Once I arrived home, I saw that the top part of the cake had a dent in the mouse and strawberry covering which made it look messy. It was an embarrassment to present it as such so I improvised by using the mother's day signage to cover up the blip. When I called to speak with the location about it they dealt with it very professionally and were apologetic about the situation and offered a comp. It was such a relief to have customer service go right after experiencing that.

We had low expectations, realizing it was in the middle of Times Square, assuming it would be a tourist trap like most places in Times Square. We were pleasantly surprised! It had really good crispness and delicious filling, which was vanilla forward (used to normal custard). Didn't try anything else except the lobster tail. They have other flavors as well -- we will try the Nutella flavored lobster tail next! AMBIANCE: Super small place (expected) so it's take away only. Would come back if I'm in the area again, although I tend to avoid due to crowds.

One of the best flavors for a classic Chocolate Chip Cookie in nyc I've had so far. You can…read moredefinitely taste the browned butter. It's a simple classic cookie that's crispy on the edges and chewy in the center without being undercooked or gooey. This is not for the people who usually prefer the mound styled cookies that levain has, but as a fellow levain fan, I personally loved this cookie a lot. I especially feel that a lot of cookies have too much chocolate in them, but I'm obsessed with the dough part of chocolate chip cookies. This cookie was a really good balance and it was delicious until the last bite. Gonna be an obsession for a while for sure. Other things to know the staff were pretty friendly and greeting when I walked in. It's a small place. No particular seating area available. Great to walk in grab what you want and leave. I did also try their tomato focaccia which was delicious. The Dubai croissant however, was not it. The filling was dry and the croissant had also dried out, so it was just a flaky chalky mess. But definitely go for the cookies and breads.

It had a delicious nutty flavor which was more pronounced than the typical browned butter nuttiness. The combination of the bitter Valhrona dark chocolate and sweeter milk chocolate chips balanced out the cookie very well. The rainbow cookies were not great - they were just wannabe rainbow cookies. You can't just call a cookie a rainbow cookie because it looks like one. Some things should remain traditional, this is one of them. Traditional rainbow cookies are made with almond paste, jam, and chocolate. There is no almond paste in this cookie which completely threw off the texture. There is a layer of marzipan in these cookies which in my opinion destroyed the balance of the cookie - far too sweet and oddly textured. The cake layer is just regular cake with food coloring instead of the soft/ moist almond frangipane-like cake. The cookies were beautiful, but were very disappointing. Service was quick and friendly.

Super cool how Angelina opened a bakery near Lenox Hill Hospital serving a variety of baked goods,…read moreand I think where they really shine is their tiny little pastries and cookies that you can get individually and pay less but get a greater variety. It's the perfect place to get a small bite. They also have lunch sandwiches that are on the smaller side and cheaper and it's the perfect light lunch; I'm a fan of their chicken one. Huge fan of their presence and think they definitely have a lasting place in the neighborhood. The mini croissants are nice and crisp on the outside, the donuts are maybe my least favorite thing, but their little italian cookies are also really solid and the perfect small bite. They also have coffee slush, at least during the summer.

We were going in to the MET for a tour and only had time for something quick. Angelina was the perfect stop except I've been spoiled with the other two locations I've tried that are much larger, appealing and has more variety. This was a pretty hole in the wall location (in comparison to the others) and I wasn't super obsessed with the quality of the doing (again, in comparison to what I already know of Angelina). I'm not sure if they bake everything in house but it does feel more like they get smaller batches of things maybe frozen and then stick them in the oven and fill them. It doesn't taste the freshest, the croissant dough isn't as pillowy, crispy on the outside and full of layers and flakes that I'm regularly used to. I'm always happy eating anything with nutella so that was still a win, wish it was more in line with the regular Angelina experience. Also, they don't have the same amount of things and as extensive of a menu, so just know before you go :) No bathrooms either it seems like!

They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.
