I've always seen bubble waffles but never actually tried them so this was the perfect opportunity! I had my dad stop to grab me one & filled it up with everything & anything! Nutella, Oreos, Ferrero Rocher, strawberry ice cream. The list goes on! So many different toppings to choose from! I devoured this waffle in less than 2 minutes.. it was absolutely delicious! The waffle itself was so soft & complimented all the toppings I got! Will definitely be back to try the coffee!

This very cute and tiny corner café recently opened this week on this quiet stretch of Astoria Blvd. They serve hot & cold beverages, bubble waffles, ice cream (soft serve and ice cream rolls) and other baked goods. The café interior is small with one table inside and another one outside. Strangely, there's also a connecting door to it's neighboring business, Studio 23 Beauty Center. Not sure if they are affiliated or what. I'm a sucker for bubble waffles and I think they are so fun to eat so I ordered the Bubble Strawberry Nutella. The bubble waffle was delicious! The outside was crisp, and the center was slightly sweet. It was topped with strawberries, Nutella, whipped cream, and slivers of almonds. I really loved the combo of the crips, chewy waffle with the fresh strawberries and crunchy nuts. The Bubble Strawberry comes with a scoop of ice cream, but I opted to not have it as I was taking this to go, and the ice cream would not have made the travel. They had other baked goods on display, but I noticed that they also sell cookies from the Sexy Batch Baking Co. I ended up getting 3 cookies: the Nutella Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip with Himalayan Pink Salt and the Playground cookie. The Nutella Chocolate Chip cookie was yummy. You really can't go wrong with Nutella in a cookie. The Playgound cookie was just okay, but thought it was interesting that it had marshmallows and potato chips in it. And I didn't really care for the Chocolate Chip with Himalayan Pink Salt. I usually love chocolate chip cookies with sea salt so I thought I would like this one too, but I was wrong. The Himalayan Pink Salt was just too overpowering, and the pieces of salt were so large. It was just too salty for me. Still a nice visit overall and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

My new obsession. So cute inside and the Oreo milkshake was amazing. I'll come back to try some of the other shakes, smoothies, bubble waffles and food. It was busy inside so I took my shake to go.

A strange menu concept? Honestly, I was trying to figure out the purpose of their menu. They were mixing savory cheese with ice cream and fruit, which I found rather strange and unpleasant. I mean, why should my ice cream have grated cheese in it? I appreciate the original concept of half and half, but menu items were a little off-putting!

This waffles are the best. I love them so much specially this beautiful pregnancy . Service is great, but is only one person working in the place so they take some time to prepare your order.

Spectaculoos!…read more Spectacular should be spelled Spectaculoos from now on. It just feels cooler to have the "oooos" enunciation at the end doesn't it? This Sunday only Wafel and Dinges truck is just way to dangerous. They should limit you to one of these because it's just way to hard choose just one option. Perhaps the Sunday only option is their way to protect us from those of us with no self control. If that is the case, good thinking W & D! As far as the Wafels, is there anything that Spekuloos (my current sweet addiction) or Nutella is spread on that doesn't taste awesome? Is there anything that fresh cut strawberries and whipped cream can't elevate? Who doesn't like a freshly made, still warm, slightly crunchy Belgium Wafel? You'll want to enjoy promptly right after you get your order it is most delicious the second you get it. Don't wait! The truck has all required utensils right there for you and the box is built in a way that makes it conducive to eat by sliding the Wafel to the edge to bite. However you're on your own to find seating to enjoy which can be somewhat of a challenge in some neighborhoods, where this truck parks including this one. Pro tip: head to the nearby MacDonald park nearby. One final thought, for those diabetics out there, just keep walking, there isn't anything here for you to eat,....

It's refreshing to see more food trucks in the Forest Hills areas.

Absolute perfection and made to order, so sip on some hot milk tea out of a beautiful teapot and nom on a perfectly moist scone while you wait 20 minutes for what could be the best dessert of your life. The desserts here are the epitome of "not too sweet" asian treats in the best way possible. I didn't even know I liked scones until I came here, and then I was inspired to bake some of my own (which fell short of the ones here, but of course). Despite it always being crowded, somehow I have always gotten a seat when dining in with no wait. And the customers just keep coming, and the vibe only gets better. The interior is just too cute, and each location has a unique "look" to it but they all scream tea house. Service is nothing short of excellent. Although the menu is on a QR code, it's easy to get the attention of a waitstaff to place your order, and the food and drinks come out quickly. This is a great place to take a date, a friend, a family member, heck - even a place to introduce them to each other.

They have a list of year round items & a couple rotating seasonal lattes that you'll have to wait to see on their wall as well. However, It gets extremely busy there -- so if you're wanting to sit and chit chat with a friend, you might find yourself sitting outside or constantly checking for a chair because it gets busyyyyy in here on weekdays despite the abundant seating, while I do love a little coffee & study session, it really sucked that nearly all of the tables inside were taken by customers with laptops! Perhaps it's better on weekends as they have signs that implement no laptops on weekends. Anyways, onto the orders... My sister and I ordered off the seasonal menu and tried the Strawberry latte, Pistachio latte and a Pistachio Waffle. Unfortunately, I just felt like neither of the lattes were really lived up to the hype. The strawberry latte is literally just strawberry jam layered with milk and a shot of espresso & the pistachio drink was not very sweet or pistachio flavor forward, it had a bit of a nutty taste towards the end, but honestly just tasted a majority like milk. I definitely think it could benefit from more pistachio flavoring or some pistachio cream smeared on the side of the cup. Also, not sure if they use two different roasts for the drinks, but the strawberry tastes much more burnt than the other. The pistachio waffle was probably the best part, but even then, you cannot really mess up on a waffle that is smeared with pistachio butter. Not sure if it is house made though. I didn't like it, but my sister really likes this place, so it is definitely a matter of opinions. I would definitely recommend stopping by & trying it out yourself!

Came with some friends for lunch. We all got various combinations of the mixed plate and an order of fried calamari. The calamari was lightly breaded in a flaky batter that brought out the flavors of the squid. Cooked to perfection it was tender, not chewy. As for the mixed platters, we had lamb gyro and the souvlakis as well as the lemon potatoes and fries. The lemon potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a nice tartness to each bite. The lamb gyro was tender. The chicken souvlaki being moist and flavorful is the barometer for the level of detail that goes into every plate served.
