The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a salsa bar with cilantro, onions, and various salsas. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended.
When we arrived, there was only one other group of three people dining, and they left within minutes of our arrival. The restaurant was practically empty.
We ordered ceviche and waited 10 minutes, only to be told that the cook hadn't even started preparing it. We received an apology and were assured it would be brought out shortly. In the meantime, we ordered our entrées.
When the ceviche finally arrived, it was RAW. And I mean they had literally just cut the fish, placed it in a bowl with cilantro, onions, and tomatoes, and topped it with avocado. It hadn't been properly prepared or marinated. We sent it back and were assured they would correct it.
Then our entrées arrived. My husband received the wrong meat, the vegetables were undercooked, and my meal was completely missing. My food finally arrived 15 minutes after the rest of my family's meals, and to make matters worse, the carne asada had absolutely no flavor.
Despite all these mistakes, not once did the restaurant make any meaningful effort to resolve the situation or offer any form of compensation.
We received nothing but repeated apologies with absolutely no resolutions.
What frustrated me the most was that, after being asked how everything was and expressing all of our concerns, they had the audacity to ask us to come back.
A nice atmosphere means very little when the food, service, and overall customer experience are this disappointing. Apologies mean nothing when they're not followed by actions to make things right. read more
