Mai's Deli is DELICIOUS! I absolutely die for their eggrolls! If I had to pick one item off their menu I would have to go with the Pho. You get a HUGE bowl for a really great price, they also give you a lot of extra condiments but I never use them it tastes amazing as is! I don't really like a lot of spice in my food and they are really accommodating and will adjust it to fit me! I've been here several times. Their eggrolls are decent, but they have a pretty good sauce they serve with it, which is what brings us back. However, we went yesterday and ordered at 8:00 (they close at 9) and they were SO rude to us. The pregnant girl working the front was just nasty and then went into the kitchen and yelled about how we were "SO rude!" Uh.. All we did was order an eggroll at your "family business", im not sure how that is considered rude? We rang the service bell and told her we'd like to cancel our order because we don't appreciate being talked badly about when we hadn't done anything. At which point she tore the card from my hand and made some smart ass remark. I asked if she was a manager. It took me three times asking before she answered and yelled for the manager. I explained the issue to the manager, she went into the back and talked to her and then came back up front and said "Well you don't have to act like that!" Um, i dont get to be offended when you are talking poorly about us when we hadn't done anything to warrant it? That makes sense. She continued insulting us and not listening to what had occurred, which my sister had actually taped a portion of it on her phone because she couldn't believe how we were being treated. Anyways, in the end, both the "manager" and the pregnant girl were awful and rude. The manager's excuse was that she was pregnant, so she gets to be rude. Pregnancy doesn't allow you to be a nasty little b----. Just saying. I will never in my life return. I hope that they treat other customers with respect and human decency or their business will be closed very quickly.. Which it should be. A note worth adding- i used the rest room on the way in. There was what appeared to be mold in the sink and some nasty looking bugs in the corner. Eater beware!!!! ***Mylee's eggroll house is a block away. I honesty think this place is overrated. My husband had their combo pho and it was certainly not the best. Usually the pho liquid is clear and has a flavor of all the spices n herbs, however his pho was very foggy as if its miso soup and it had a very strong flavor and smell of star anise. Which was not very pleasant.. I had their red curry with beef and my goodness, it seems as if I was eating coconut cream.. Very very thick and dense, probably had at least 5 or 7 slices of beef.. Not satisfying and definitely made me feel disgusted at how thick it was as if it was cottage cheese. However two things that we did enjoy were the egg rolls and stuff wings. The only problem was they were short on egg rolls, now if you know you sell good on a certain item, you should always have a lot of it.. However they ran out and we only ordered two. The wings were good, we loved the charred grill marks on them, gives it a whole dimension n taste to it. If I were to go there again I probably won't order anything other than egg rolls and stuff wings. :) read more

I thought I'd call and place a to go order on a Wednesday afternoon around 3, I got no answer. So I wait a couple mins and call again. Still. no answer. I think "wow that's a weird time of the day to be super busy" then I thought well maybe I called the wrong number? I decided to go anyhow n just place a Togo order in person. As I walk to the door I call again as I'm walking into the restaurant. It's the right number! the phone rang, not a customer in the place. But this old cranky man who never has been that kind in the past is there. He sees me, walks past me and wipes down a table. I'm standing there like??? He eventually comes to the front and says "can I help you" I was pretty confused and a bit frustrated I say "well?? Are you open??" "I tried to call a couple times?" He said "ya we are under staff and busy" I was so irritated! literally NO ONE in the place and you are busy?? He literally heard the phone ring didn't bother to answer it and clearly doesn't know or want to run a business. So I just said "oh?! Your busy? Oh ok that's ok then" and left. He needs a new job, he clearly has no interest in being there. N now that makes 2 of us. There are to many restaurants in the area to be treated like you are a Nuisance! read more

this place is amazing. very clean and simple inside. they primarily expect take-out orders i think, but i like to take the time to sit down to eat. they serve beer. the food is served really hot, in huge portions. i was extremely impressed by how many vegetarian options they have. until Mai's Deli opened up, i used to go to Taste of Thai a lot, and really loved their food. but i tell my friends, "Mai's Deli is Taste of Thai quality at working-man's prices". it's sooooooo delicious. and it's family owned/run, and the owners are sooooooo friendly. read more

Food is good when they have it available. We go eat here often and 8 out of 10 time, they always run out of food. And this is 2-3 hours before closing time. The owner always joke about its going to take too long to make new food because it is almost closing time. Are they not suppose to make new food when you order? My husband and I often get take out from Mai's Deli. They're the only place that we know of, that have stuffed chicken wings. I've gotta say, their stuffed wings aren't always consistent. Sometimes they're burnt and have a horrible burnt taste and sometimes they're decent. We finally stopped getting food from here when my husband had tried to go inside to order some food and since they were quite busy, he was told by an employee to go elsewhere. I was appalled when my husband told me what the employee had suggested, because they weren't even close to closing yet and I mean, for one, we are paying customers. If you don't want our business and money, we can definitely take it elsewhere! Ever since thing we've stopped going here. Their pho and pad Thai are ok, if you have the patience and want to try Thai/Laotian food, I would say go ahead and give them a try. But if customer service is important to you, then I say save yourself the trip and go somewhere else. read more
