My family and I visited Maine over the July 4th weekend and stopped in Portland to explore downtown after dinner. We came across this adorable ice cream shop, and even though we were already so full, we couldn't resist getting one scoop to share. Oh and on top of this, the girls working there were incredibly sweet and provided great service! The ice cream was incredibly creamy, packed with blueberry flavor, and not overly sweet, which made it even better. If you're visiting Portland, it's definitely worth stopping by! They offer a variety of coffees from Tandem, pastries, breakfast, brunch and lunch options, along with some classic brunch beverages. I ordered the Masala Chai, and WOW. It was absolutely perfect and very different from the Americanized chai most of us are used to. Exactly what I was hoping for. Then came the Avocado Toast... and let me just say, this was not your basic avocado toast. Avocado, chaat masala, chili oil, marinated red onion, coriander-mint chutney and a perfectly fried egg. SO GOOD. They were busy busy, so I ended up taking mine to go. That 15-minute drive home was basically an exercise in self-control because I could smell it the entire way. But the toast held up beautifully, and that egg?! The yolk was still perfectly runny. Pure bliss. Because they were so busy, I did feel a little rushed when ordering, so the avocado toast was the obvious safe choice. But while I stood waiting for my order, I had plenty of time to do what any respectable food lover would do... scope out everyone else's food as it came out. And let me tell you, several pastries definitely caught my eye. So needless to say, I'll be back. I'm also genuinely happy to see how busy they already are after being open such a short time. I was intrigued by the drink menu and ultimately got an iced pistachio latte. It was delicious with a very natural pistachio flavor, not sweet fake pistachio, iykyk. I wasn't asked what size I wanted so I assumed there was only 1 but I see in the menu photo there is 2 sizes. I got the smaller of the 2 for $6. I thought I saw they didn't take tips but the payment screen definitely had the tip prompt, and I left one. The space has a simple, clean aesthetic with natural wood and black color scheme. They even have outdoor seating, which doesn't seem like it exists in the mall area of South Portland. It works though because Cobblestone is set back a bit from the main road. Tons of parking, although it seemed like crews were working to fill some of the huge potholes so there were construction type vehicles, cones, etc throughout the parking lot. So nice to have non chain businesses moving into the mall part of South Portland. Will definitely be back to try the food and maybe an ube latte. One other thing is the milk choice is whole or oat for lattes.

The drinks (iced tea/cold brew/hot coffee/tea) are premade and I would say are above average. The pastries we had were unbelievable! Flakey, buttery croissants with simple but punchy flavors. Not too sweet, with lots of filling. The crust was flaky with a little sugar sprinkled on top, which made it even better. They offer to cut the pie for you if you're dining in so it can come out nice and pretty. For my fellow allergy folks: there's no egg in the pie! Nice little stop if you're in the area. One thing to note: it was pretty hot inside. They also have outdoor seating, but by noon there was barely any shade, so brace yourself if you plan to sit outside!
