Super friendly and helpful folks. Looks like a family owned business by the way that they treat one another at the shop. My car suddenly needed to get some new engine oil and flashed a big warning message on a trip down to Half Moon Bay and found them on Yelp. They were having a family style meal right in the shop and I don't even think they were fully open but one gentleman (didn't catch his name) quickly grabbed a litre of new engine oil and filled it up for $10 cash paid on the spot. I came out Saturday morning to the garage to find a flat tire. Mother's Day weekend we expected no fix, but stopped by neighborhood Main Street Service and Guido offered to stop by our home within an hour. Found a screw through the front tire, and Guido was able to patch the hole and reinflate the tire and get us on our way quickly and with friendly reasonable priced service. The repair man was really nice and even came to replace my flat tire before his daughter's graduation (that's really awesome and I really appreciated that). He was super friendly, quick, and gave us tips on how to replace our tire if we ever find ourselves in this situation again. My car broke down while on a long weekend trip. To my surprise this place was actually opened on Saturday and Sunday. My car was towed by them to the shop. They paid our taxi to the hotel in HMB and delivered the car to the hotel when done. We still enjoyed the weekend. read more

This place was supposed to mount some tires on some rims for me. They scratched three of the rims badly. They couldn't get them fixed, so they asked me to get them fixed and they would pay for them. I found another shop that could send the rims out to be repaired, and they gave me a quote for about $200 a rim. I went back and the owner of Main Street Service said this was fine. The second shop repaired the rims but they ended up costing about $250 each. When I went back to Main Street Service, they refused to pay more than $200. I could take them to small claims court, but at this point I'm just happy to be done with the whole ordeal. read more

They do a good job. Just make sure to take pictures of any damages that they inadvertently cause you to make sure you're telling the truth. But overall, they're good people. The son of the owner is a really nice person because I've worked with him before. read more

I thought the accelerator on my car was damaged. Not only did they take my car in right away (& on a Saturday!), they also fully checked it out, test drove it & had me pick it up a few hours later. While there are many auto repair shops in the area, few, if any, compare to Main Street Services! I have used them exclusively for the past several years for both our cars. Are just a great bunch of honest, hard working REGULAR people. I was recently going out of town to a convention. I had many things to do the day before. I walked out to my car & saw I had a flat. After several calls to see about getting roadside service, they came to my house, put a spare on, drove away, went back to the shop & fixed my flat, which I got back later that afternoon. They didn't need to do that. They just did it anyway! I appreciate their keen sense of detail. I want to drive my car for many more years! They make the necessary repairs & nothing more.
